Banana Bungalows, were great.I was surprised that they even had a pool, which was extremely handy as the beach was wiped out with heavy winds and rain.Bit of a walk to the beach also. The bungalows are quite, but being low season there was only 2 other people there. The rooms are quite big with a bathroom. The bed was good, not hard.Nice veranda out the front.From... The price is reasonable. The location is also good, a few minutes walk away from the main road. So basically it was quiet. But the bungalows are too close to each other, just a few meters away. We had very little privacyxenon, it's hard to sleep if your neighbour is noisy even late at night. And the bathroom was rather... More

Set back from the main road and a fair walk from the beach the Banana Bungalows are set in a lush tropical garden and are an oasis of peace and quiet. The bungalows are clean and equipped with a fridge, air-con, TV, safe and hot water. The small restaurant serves a good breakfast buffet with all you can eat for... More

We did not stay at the Banana Bun-glows but we did visit the Dive In Banana restaurant several times. The service was exceptionally friendly! The food (we were mostly here for breakfast) was great. Everything was fresh and a few family recipes/sauces were totally delectable. Also they have real coffee. The menu is not outstanding but the food served was... More

I stayed here several times for one or two nights. It's very conveniently located in the centre of Khao Lak but off the main road, and with basic bungalows for reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and in the night it was quiet and dark. The portions in the restaurants are huge and tasty. The cook was also very... More

They were fine, I only stayed 1 night. The location is good, it's fairly central. There were ants but it was clean and the wifi was good, showers hot and the fridge worked. I’d stayed again for a 1 night bounce.

I quite enjoyed this place. They provided us with a bottle of water each every day, and there were fridges in the room (a commodity to be treasured). The pool was pleasant, though, on those occasions I accidentally got water in my mouth, had a very strong, strange taste in it. I always enjoyed walking to our bungalow as it... More

The accommodation is in cute little bungalows. These are located 200 meters northish off the main drag, there is a sign right on that rd. The beds are v good , with clean white linen. There is in room wifi which actually works, & decent tv, inc the BBC. The bathroom is western, with its own hot water. What's more... More

This is a lovely friendly budget place to stay. The pool area is really nice and the staff were friendly and always on hand to help. Its off the main road so is quiet but close enough to the main supermarlet and only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The rooms arent fancy and quite basic but if... More

If you're on a budget, like to be close to the action, don't mind a casual but friendly customer service vibe and enjoy feeling connected with nature, this is the place for you. Our room had good wifi and AC, as well as a secondary enclosed outside shower (cold water in the outside one but it's hot in Thailand, so... More
