Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here twice over 2 months. Great service from a simple, clean guesthouse. Sao the person running the place is an excellent host. Booked several boat tours from her and the prices are very good (I have shopped around and travel here every year). Only about 500m away from Walker's Inn where I ate most of the time.

My bf and me stayed there before & after our liveaboard trip. The hotel is a family style. Mrs Sao (the lady who runs the hotel) is a beautiful and super nice to us. Helped us to organize our transportation with a reasonable price and very honestly to introduce the town to us. She drives us to waterfall and picked up us after 1 hour. The room is very clean, just the location of the hotel is little bit disappointed (next to the main road). Actually, many other hotels as well. Remember to ask for a room face to inside that you could sleep well. Dont know if I would visit that town later, if yes, will definitely book this hotel again.

We just had a really nice stay at this bed and breakfast. The hostess is a very warm and friendly person, and helped us with everything. Also the rooms are clean, have good space for two persons, a good shower with hot water and a well functioning AC. Can be recommended!

The first room they took was to hadn't been cleaned, was cramped, had no window to the outside (just a window to the hallway), felt damp, and smelled really bad. As soon as they saw it hadn't been cleaned we were switched to a different room that was big, bright, and airy with two huge windows, was clean, and smelled fine. I would have been very unhappy in the first room but the second room was good so if you get shown a bad room you should ask to switch. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned as there was hair in the soap dish and some shampoo the previous guest had left. The shower was hot with good water pressure but it flooded the entire bathroom. The wifi didn't work in the room which was a big downside.

This place is so lovely. The lady who runs it is soooo nice and extremely helpful. We were only here for 1 night but would have stayed longer. Rooms are basic but very clean and you get free shampoo and conditioner is also provided. We didn't have breakfast but I am sure it would have been lovely. Would definitely recommend for good budget accommodation. Also pretty close to main town

My boyfriend and I had travelled 3 weeks in Asia and we have to say this is was our worst night so far. The hostel wasn't that bad, but we found the town anything interesting. Extremely expensive restaurants with no good food, very loud at night with all the bars and clubs around the main street, and no signal of thai people except for those working for us in the restaurants. The room was a double bed with toilet but the window was located in the main street so you can imagine wasn't very quiet for relaxation. We could use the air con, but was so HUMID inside the room that made us keep the window open most of the night. Breakfast was ok but we first thought was included in the price (as it was a Bed and Breakfast), but at the end they charged us 80 bhat each for eating there. Its not a nightmare place to go there but I would not do it again. My tip, just skip this town, you don't need to fly 10.000 km from Europe to see this. Otherwise just go to Lloret de Mar.

I loved the bright and clean room, the location (on the quiet side of town and near the beach) but most of all I really enjoyed the genuine and warm hospitality and the staffs' involvement. They are not just professional in managing the place, they went out of their way to help us find our way around the area. We stayed 8 nights and appreciated everything from the frequent towel changes to the free coffee and fresh water. There is no wifi in the rooms, but the lounge area has excellent reception. I guess you can call me a Seafan fan!

We are finishing up a 28 day stay in Khaolak and so grateful we chose Seafan as our 'home away from home'. I'll have to respectfully disagree on many points with a previous reviewer. Seafan is only a five minute walk to the beach through the resort across the road, with miles of beach to walk on and calm waters for swimming. The wifi was great, we had multiple video chats with family without interruption. Yes, the road out front is busy during the day, but it quiets down at night. They did recently change the policy regarding breakfast, but it is spelled out quite clearly on their website. The rooms are cleaned daily (fresh linens and towels every three days), separate shower in the bath, soft beds and pillows and excellent a/c. We also had a lovely mountain view from our room. Two of the best restaurants are just steps away. To the north is Walkers Inn, delicious western and Thai food at very reasonable prices. Head south and you will find Everyday2, a bit more expensive but well worth the price. Best of all are Sao and Auo, who are amazing hosts and took wonderful care of us. Sao also set up tours and airport transportation at a great cost saving. She also personally drove us and two other guests back and forth from White Sands Beach, which is a beautiful spot. We've travelled extensively through Thailand and would rank Seafan in the top 5 for sure! For the $$ you pay, you cannot find a better place in Khaolak.😊
