We had cool round bungalow that reminded us of the Flintstones. The décor and atmosphere of the room was really cool and we were very satisfied with it. Hotels restaurant is also quite good and they have a fair amount of breakfast options to choose from. Staff was really helpful with our covid-test appointments and all the paperwork which was a huge help for us!

Very friendly people who where really helpful with everything. We sent them a message up front and they picked us up at the pier.

Rooms where very clean and cleaned every day.
We had the room in the back of the garden, so no wind from the sea. So mosquitos where present.

However, you can expect this in Thailand, and so not something the hotel can do something about. Inside the room we didn’t have any issues though.

Airco was very good. Shower nice and spacious.
All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Try to get a room close to the sea for some seabreeze. This will keep the mosquitoes away.

I think this is the best location on Koh Tao. In the middle of everything. Shops, restaurants, farmacy, tour sellers...

Room was nice, well-equipped, clean and cosy. Breakfast was basic with a few choices every morning. Nothing special but ok. The bar is highlight of this property. Good drinks, good vibe.. As well all over the beach area.

We stayed at the AC2 RESORT not the ac resort as there is a difference in the 2. The location is good for sairee beach. We got a villa which was just a detached room which I didn't understand why it was called a villa when there was only 2 rooms. The room was basic, were dated . The ac in the room was amazing. The shower water was warm and at times cold. Wifi in the resort is non existent. They really need to upgrade their wifi to make it better. There is currently building works going on right next to the resort as well as around sairee beach makes it challenging to get a spot where there is peace and quiet .

Overall I was disappointed with the accommodation and would not stay there again. They need to invest in fixing up the pool area so people can sit there. It's currently has warn down beach chairs made of plank rusting away with nothing else to go for it. Dark and dingy area around the pool which is not where you want to spend your time. The potential of this place is huge it is a shame they are not taking that opportunity

Let's start with the positive:
- good location in Sairee beach close to beach, shops but away from bars' noises
- Spacious rooms
- Clean rooms
- Restaurant that belongs to resort has good and ok priced food
- You can book tickets through reception
- Reception lady is sweet and kind. Her poor English skills might make her come across as rude (as one review suggests), but I really believe she is a nice old lady who will always attend any of your requests. Just be patient and remember that she speaks more English than you speak Thai
-AC in room good quality (just need to wait a few minutes for the room to cool down)
- Flexibility, as they accommodated our request to extend

Not so great:
- My shoes were stolen from the balcony (mood killer) which has open access to everyone. I would have appreciated it if at reception they advised people to keep their shoes inside (even if you will take all your sand in with you)
- Bed mattress not so great, some of the hardest I have slept on
- Water pressure was bad, but maybe this is an island thing. Water was very hot though.
- You have to ask for paper roll most of the time as the cleaners "forget" to add an extra one
- Weak WIFI, disappearing some times.

Overall, a positive experience and I would recommend the place. If it was not for the theft, which could have been avoided had I been told to be careful; I would have been a happier person.

Location is great and its the place you want to be if you cannot ride a motorbike. This is on Sairee's walking street (basically this is the only place for food and fun) so you just need to walk out and the beach is right there. The sea view rooms are not facing the sea at all so dont bother paying more for this. The rooms are fairly new as AC2 is the new wing. Bathroom and room are big. Bed is very hard. Shower very slow. There's only shower cap, cotton buds, shower cream and shampoo provided. There is a powerful hairdryer, a safe and a flat screen tv with lots of shows. Right outside the hotel is Maya Beach Club. They rent seats at the beach, great live DJ house music, snorkeling gear and paddle boards.
If you are coming to this hotel by bike, please note the hotel has 2 entrances. The one on the main road does not check you in. You have to get to Sairee Street on the inside (nearer to beach and parellel to beach). If you arrive at night, this could be confusing for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at AC 2 and were well looked after throughout. Situated at one of the quieter ends of the busy and buzzing Sairee Beach road, you can easily pick and choose whether you want a quiet evening to chill out or join the party scene.

The room was a nice size with an awesome bathroom (complete with an excellent shower, which was fab considering we were a stone's throw from the beach) and very smart. Sadly, our sea view as promised was hidden behind a gulf of palm trees, but we soon realised that wasn't important given how close we were to it.

The food in the restaurant across the road was excellent and great value.....made even better by the "on beach" setting, providing a very laid back, beach life atmosphere no matter what mood you're in.

Be careful if ongoing music might annoy you, as the nearby club plays dance tunes continuously until around 10pm. Nothing too aggressive or mega loud, but worth knowing if you have kids who might go to bed earlier than that.

Certainly worth booking if you're looking for something relatively up market, but not too pricey....

Our family had 3 rooms at AC2 resort, two family rooms and one double. Reception is a small counter in the restaurant which was a surprise after other places we have stayed and seemed to cater for backpackers. The rooms, however, were a complete surprise! Our family room was large and modern with a contemporary and stylish decor. Good aircon, spacious bathroom and everything we needed.
The food at the restaurant is absolutely fantastic, delicious authentic Thai cuisine and lovely cocktails. Prices at the restaurant are reasonable.
The main issue we had was the lack of provision for young families- despite staying in a family room the balcony had inadequate railings with large spaces so was out of bounds for our toddlers. There were no high chairs in the restaurant and the member of staff who checked us in was completely disinterested in helping us solve this problem, leaving us to seek to borrow chairs from other restaurants. There was also fairly loud music quite late at night coming from nearby bars which a member of our group in a room closer to the entrance was disturbed by. Rooms further back were not disturbed. A little more storage in the rooms would be useful too.
There is a large grassy area in the middle of the resort which would be perfect for a swimming pool and it is a shame that there isn’t one.
We enjoyed the room and the restaurant at AC2 but felt that with a few simple changes this could be a fantastic resort.

First night, first nightmare: my wife suffered a lot of bedbugs bites (please, see pictures attached).

Second night, second nightmare:
water pipe blow-up in our bathroom at 2:00 a.m. (No night shift at reception, and from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. nobody answered the emergency phone number).

Third morning, third nightmare: Rude staff at reception desk, no Manager on duty, no apologies at all, and not really interested in solving our bigs problems.

At this point, we sent a long email with ours complaints to AC2 Manager, asking them 2 nights refund, but ......(believe it or not) NO ANSWER AT ALL.

So, during our 4 nights stay we were moved twice: from room D2 to D3 and from D3 to D1.

By the way, no sea view from any room.

This place is not worth 75€/night!

A Hostel would have been better.

Do not stay here.

P. S.: After claiming Agoda, we finally get 2 nights refund.

If there were something that was ugly and bad in every way in my holiday in Koh Tao, this was the staff from AC2 Resort and Restaurant, starting with the reception guy and ending with any waitress from the terrace. First of all, the receptionist gave us 3 rooms different from the ones we rent. We rent " room with sea view" and we get rooms on the ground floor with an alley and all the tourist passing by "view". Because of this, our privacy and confort was zero. On the other part, there was a lot of humidity in the room, and everything, including everyday towels were smelling as mold.
Coming back to the staff. They are arrogants. The guy from the reception tried to give me the explanation that "room with seaside view" means that the room is on the same side with the sea. Probably in the sea..... I guess he also thought that we are some kind of stupid persons. He didn't want to give us the room we booked saying that he doesn't have enough. BUT, next day, when one of our friends gave him 10 dollars, like magic, he had a free room. Room with a seaside view exists only at the first floor of the building. I atrached photos with "my seaside view"!
