Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ask for a room within the B area. Many retired people in this area from Europe, a few from Canada, and Australia, who come each year for the winter. Free breakfast and near-by rides in a free Tuk-Tuk. They have every kind of transport to and from airport, for a reasonable price. Near by food and pubs. Check out the side roads. Leslie takes really good care of all who convalesce here. Buy local bug spray, for your room, for yourself on the beach. Bugs are not a problem , but during the changes of seasons, walking or biking in the bush, they could surprise you. This is a village resort where many Thai people come for overnight or the weekend There is a very special hostess cat!

We stayed here on our way down south and absolutely loved it. The staff were really lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble - they brought me boiling water for my tea in a flask! The rooms were basic but very spacious and clean. The hotel was right on the beach and there was lots of street food available til late at night. The breakfast which came with the room was great - basic but with something for everyone - Thai, European, English and Chinese. We parked our car in the premises under cover which was really good. Really loved staying here and look forward to staying here again. Highly recommended!

Room with nice balcony by the road, towards the sea. Spacious, one double and one single bed. Fridge/freezer and tv. Simple standard but clean and well worth the price. Breakfast not too fancy, but thai coffee and toast was all we needed. Located next to the beach, a popular place for thai people. Lots of food trucks and other (bbq, pancakes, veggies etc) from early morning to late. Tesco and 7-11 just a few meters away. GREAT service!! Helpful staff and always ready with the hotel's tuktuk to drive or pick us up all over cha am. Towels for the beach, extra blankets, paper i.e - all fixed with a smile. The nicest manager who both drove us by car to another beach, advised on places to eat etc. So friendly. We really enjoyed our week, on budget.

Wanted to visit and relax in a quiet compact hotel away from the crowds this hotel fits my needs reasonable ,quiet, next to the beach and was the way they advertised except the mosquitos which every second entered the room as you open or close the door which can be bit dangerous specially this time of the Zika outbreak.the breakfast was more thai then western only fried eggs and slice of bread apart from that everything else was thai which is also good if you want to try some diffrent breakfast but i missed ham, bacon, sausages etc but end of the day it was a good hotel will come back.

Have stayed here a few times now. Unfortunately it was a Public Holiday this time so they hiked the rates. Not impressed. Location is good. Opposite beachfront. No swimming this time. Beach crowded. Stayed the night only then moved on.

I went in the water the first day and noticed at least one small silvery fish with a green stripe darting around me and nibbling at me. My daughter also noticed small animals, possibly sea lice, on her skin. The fish kept coming back so I started punching at the water. Eventually I went to shore. Soon after I noticed lots of red itchy pinpoints on my arm and chest. My daughter also got the same rash. The water was foamy and there is a stream flowing into the sea near the beach (North Cha Am, 200 yards from the beach in front of our hotel). So, no jellyfish stings as in Phuket, but a rash still itching 2 days later. NOTE: there are a lot of places where you can stick your feet in a tank with fish who will nibble your dead skin away, but these ones seemed to want the good stuff. Good thing I had my bathing suit on.

This was our third experience at Cha-Am Villa Beach Hotel. It is a great place for a family beach holiday. Set directly across from the beach, the rooms are nice, comfortable, & clean. The breakfast isn't great but is enough to get you going. Also, my young daughter is a pool lover and there is a good one on the premises. The staff is pleasant, helpful, and always available. I highly recommend this hotel for a beach holiday!!
