Casa Papaya is a very beautiful boutique resort in Cha-am. We stayed in Villa 111 which overlooked the tropical gardens and the beach and had its own pool. Everything about the villa and the resort itself was super and we had a wonderful time . It was lovely to open the curtains in the morning to a view of the gardens and beach beyond. The staff working at the resort were attentive and helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. Casa Paola is an oasis of calm and tranquility that we will definitely visit again.

We were among the first people to come and stay post-Covid and we had such a wonderful few days. We stayed in the lodge closest to the beach and this was such a treat. Only steps away from the seaside and yet completely secluded. The plunge pool was a welcome addition to this room. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us during our stay. I cannot recommend this place highly enough - we'll definitely come back and stay again

This resort feels like it's own piece of paradise. With clean and cozy rooms, the friendly staff is there for anything you need. Walk out of your room and you are just steps away from the beach. The resort is also close to great food and shopping, as it's just a short drive away. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous! Recently renovated, this boutique hotel sports a new pool and cafe as well as refreshed rooms. Great location and vibe. Warm and friendly staff. If that isn't enough, the sunrise through the trees over the beach will get you. Looking forward to next year!!!

It’s one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in during my year in Thailand. It’s within walking distance of a nice Thai spot to eat and drink on the beach. The staff were so kind and polite. The pool was fantastic and the view was lovely. It feels like a secluded paradise despite being between two taller buildings. I can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed at Casa Papaya for 3 nights in low season. The weather was very nice, we were lucky. The room was clean and had everything we needed. You could see that the yard was well kept and lovely decorated with attention paid to details. The small, but very beautiful pool was cold even on hot days. The crew made every effort to make us feel welcome, such as making fresh breakfast for us just when we entered the breakfast room. Wifi was available in the room and all over the resort. Free sun beds out in front. There were some noisy constructions while we were there, but only at daytime. The beach was pretty, but the sea looked dirty (you couldn't see the ground in shallow water) and we didn't go swimming. Rainy season is also jellyfish season and we saw some laying on the beach. The area is very nice, we usually ate at close by beach restaurants (great food, low price) and one night at Pla-Too's. During low season we were almost the only guests at each restaurant, except for the latter one which was visited by many Thais.

Completely different experience from the resorts around in Cha'am and Hua Hin. Handful number of rooms in Casa Papaya, makes it a unique and different option from the resorts in the area. The beach was nice and quite in the period we went there. The staff are nice and helpful. Make sure you book the Seafront or Sea View rooms otherwise you miss the best of the feeling. We ended up there by chance while looking for accommodation in Hua Hin, Not sure it's a better option or not but to move around it's more convenient from Hua Hin. We spent more time taking taxis back and forth to night attractions in Hua Hin.

On first approach in a taxi, I thought we had made a mistake going by reviews of the hotel. surrounded by trees, the tiny property is dwarfed by two massive high-rise buildings on two sides. My concern was a little assuaged by the warm welcome of the staff. We took the only ocean-front room. As we settled down, we liked the quirky property, its location and the fact that the wide beach in Cha Am is relatively unspoiled, no jet skis, para-sailing, only one banana boat, and tiny horses to ride. Room 111 is the only room to stay as it feels like a cottage with a small garden in front, a small swimming pool on one side and a good view of the sea. Comfortable beach chairs,a hammock, and a good masseur on call. The set breakfast is just adequate and the restaurant is forgettable but there are fresh sea food restaurants within a few steps away on the beach.

Our stay at Casa Papaya was an off the cuff affair. It is easy to find off the main road and the welcome is very good. We had the sea view room, what a delight it was. The only view was the beach and sea. The rooftop was excellent for chilling out and the hammock provided was a lovely touch. There is a pool, but a small one. The highlight was watching the lights of the fishing boats at night, then watching them come in the following morning.

Casa Papaya is perfect for a quiet getaway. The accommodation is not super luxurious but you have everything you need and it's immaculately clean. The staff are lovely. Breakfast was basic but plentiful - eggs cooked how you want, toast, sausages, juice, tea, coffee and cereal. Beautiful gardens, small but enticing pool and you can walk out of the garden straight on to a white sand beach. The free bicycles were handy to potter about on. We ate at reataurants in the immediate vicinity. We did not go into Cha Am or Hua Hin although we travelled by train from BKK to Hua Hin (if you do this, get the hotel to book you a taxi from the station as it's cheaper). If you get the train back to BKK, get off at Sam Sen or Bang Sue as the few miles from the outskirts to Hualumphong take ages ...
