We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting Chiang Rai. The hotel was very nice and conveniently located just a block from the main center of town and a short walk from the bus station. Our room did not include breakfast, but we did pay (200 baht each) to eat at the hotel one morning, since we had an early tour pickup and could not find any other restaurants in town open early enough (most restaurants open for breakfast at 8:00 am). I am not particularly fond of Thai food and this breakfast was definitely Thai, so I did not feel it was worth the price for me, but my husband enjoyed it. There is a long, narrow pool inside the hotel, but I never saw anyone using it. The best thing for me was the beds—they were the most comfortable beds I have slept in since arriving in SE Asia over 4 months ago (most beds in SE Asia tend to be on the hard side for me). The shower was also hot and water was plentiful. The room was clean and neat and suited us perfectly. I would definitely stay here again if ever in Chiang Rai.

Room Tip: The hotel is set back from the street and our room faced the back of the hotel and was very quiet.

After 4 trips to Thailand I finally got to Chiang Rai and love the place!! Reminds me of Hanoi so much. This hotel appears quite new, is near the night markets, $50 a night for a couple. So far, so good. The down side is 300 baht EACH for breakfast, this is $15AUD EACH!! in Thailand?! Not going to happen! (Might explain why the eating area is so small, for such a large hotel?? The breakfast selection was very ordinary too). Plenty of little eateries around the vicinity, which we certainly took advantage of. (Breakfast for my wife and myself was just on 200 baht for the 2 of us). Also, the driveway and parking outside Reception is a disaster!! That being said, the rooms we had were great. Large rooms, large comfy beds, full size 'fridge, safe, hair dryer, etc., everything worked and the drains did not clog up and overflow. (Very rare indeed). Fully stocked drinks 'fridge at Reception too; nice touch! Certainly worth a stay; just find an eatery for breakfast though.

Definitely a great place to stay. The room was perfectly clean, spacious and with a light and modern design. The accessories are beyond required ones. There is even a tiny balcony there you can hang your clothes for drying and an additional table with two chairs. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. You can also rent bicycles for free, scooters and a private taxi.

This new hotel is very clean, well-equipped. Rooms are simple but very comfortable, and with an excellent shower. The hotel is located in the city center, with parking facilities; prices are good, WiFi works well, to be recommended without restrictions.

This was in a good location, close to the market and bus station. The place was very clean. Each person was provided a bottle of water in the fridge. There was a freezer as well which was great. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. They even had free bikes you could rent. They also had a self serve washer which was 40THB and dryer which was 60THB. There was a small pool in the lobby that was only open from 8a-8p. The only negative was that it required a 500THB deposit in cash which could be a problem if it's your last day in Thailand. For those familiar with hotels in the US, it's comparable to one of the nicer Comfort Inns.

This is my 4th time in Chiang Rai and the first time I visited the Hi ChiangRai Hotel. I loved everything about this place and the staff was great. The breakfast was buffet style, with Asian and North American style food to choose from. Also the cook was preparing special requests, example omelet. Breakfast ends at 10:30 with no non or evening service. Walking distance to the Night Bazaar and restaurants. Shopping is every where in Thailand. Gladly stay here if I'm ever back in Chiang Rai.

Loved this hotel. They provided terrific serve, especially Chompoo and Al! Location is great. Bed and linens were great. Love that they had laundry facilities there and drying racks on the balconies - first time we had seen that and we definitely took advantage of it. Would highly recommend.

Very confy, do not rent for pool because its cold and badly situated. Be ready to wake up early because its noisy when they prepare breakfast from 5:45 - 8:00am. Breakfast price is way too high.
The location of the hotel is great. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.

We already booked 3 ppl/room through agoda many days ago before we went there. When we arrived at the hotel, the front said that their system showed up that we booked a room for only 2 ppl. So we needed to pay extra for the 3rd person! Another problem is that there is tge old lady(maybe their owner or someone related to) sat and sneezed near the kitchen when we were having breakfast😱 And she didn’t even put her mask on, so terrible🤢

We had a family room, consisting of 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with 2 large single beds. Room came with Tea/coffee making facilities and room safe, but no breakfast. We were happy with the room but note that for family with younger children, it would be better for the door to the children’s room (2 large single beds) be locked from parent’s side instead of from children’s side.
The hotel is within walking distance from the Bus Terminal, the Clock Tower, Night Bazaar and Saturday Night Walking Street.

What is the "guest joiner" policy of the hotel?
Answer from Zizpas
Montreal, Canada98 contributions74 helpful votes
Simply put, a guest joiner policy allows or does not allow you to bring in a guest for the evening - in other words a prostitute. In this case they don't allow. It is a family run hotel.
