What a fantastic place to stay, this was the 2nd time I have stayed and both times have been superb, great rooms, great food, fabulous hosts, motorcycle scooters available for hire, lots to see and do, saw the thai / Burma border with a trip organised by the hosts, beautiful scenery, waterfalls, an Irish bar 10 mins away in the centre of Chiangrai, good location, great swimming pool and garden, oh very good, everything just spot on, well done.

This is a great little gem of a hotel. It is located right off of Hwy 131, 9km from the White Temple and 4km from the Chiang Rai night bazaar. The grounds are immaculate and the pool was great after a long day of doing the touristy thing. I opted to include breakfast with my stay and I was very pleased with what was offered. The kitchen is also open for lunch and dinner. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, I know that I will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 days in Chiang rai Homestay as 3 families with 4 kids. The place is wonderful, not far from city centre. The owner, Patty, is awasome, she 's a great host but she's kepping the place nice and was always here for us for us when we needed. She speaks good english, she prepare good dinners too, we all enjoyed our trip

We stayed for 4 days and it was great. A really relaxing place outside the city. But they provide shuttle service to town and a tuk tuk cost about 150 bath. There are a lot to see in the area. Tony and his wife are very helpsom and nice. Try the spring roles they are delicious 😊 We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful garden and pool, delicious breakfast and dinner. Perfect location set about 15 minutes from town and great tours offered around the local area. We hired bikes from here and they gave us a map. The owner kindly drove us to the airport. We had a deluxe bungalow and it was incredible.

Recently I stayed in the Homestay Chiang Rai, owner Toony de Kroon. I could rent one of his bikes together with a navigation system. The first day I biked in the surroundings of the Homestay and visited the big White Temple. The route was perfect to follow with the navigation system. The second day I started a bike tour of three days which Toony made by himself. I biked to Chiang Saen, through the country, rice fields, rubber plantations etc etc. Really great to do. In the beginning of the afternoon I arrived in Chiang Saen, in a nice perfect hotel at the border of the Mekong River. After lunch I biked along the Mekong river to the Golden Triangle and spent the rest of the day on that spot. There is a lot to see. You can cross the river to Laos if you want. Also the House of Opium is nice to visit. The second day I biked along the Golden Triangle and arrived at the end of the morning in Mae Sai, at he border with Birma/Myanmar. I had lunch there and spent several hours in this really nice border town. If you want you can cross the border to visit Myamar. There is a lot to see and there is a big market. After leaving I had to bike to the next hotel. The Silamanee resort and spa hotel. A great stay, nice cabins, a very nice swimming pool, very relaxing. The next morning after a great breakfast I took my bike an biked trough the country, the rice fields ,the great budha to Chiang Rai and to the Home stay Chiang Rai. The route Toony made is very good to follow on the navigation system, I did not lose my way, the route is very quiet, most of the time there are a few cars, so its very easy to bike. Only the seocnd day there is al little hill, after the golden triangle point most of the time is is really good to bike, it is flat and sometime a little bit hilly. The only thing you have to remember is to bike on the left site of the way. I can recommend everybody this perfect three days bike trip.

I had a great 9 night stay at Homestay Chiang Rai. It is a nice small familiar resort. It is located just outside of Chiang Rai. The hotel offers 3 times daily transfer to the city and is also selling tours. The food in the restaurant is excellent. I can highly recommend to stay at the Homestay.

Lovely boutique hotel- Patty is just great. The beds and pillows need improving - not all of us like hard I am afraid. The tours Patt organizes are reasonably priced and very good experiences. Our guide Chai was brilliant- thankyou. Overall a lovely low budget hotel.

Very Awkward, over-priced stay. They kept charging us more and more money. The motor bike was 500 baht, we discovered they are only 200 baht in town. The bike was too big for me and though I indicated I was not comfortable with it he rented it to me anyway. Also I had to put my own gas in. They gave us bad directions and we drove so far in the wrong direction on a terrible road under construction in the rain. I had a crash and I hurt myself. He wanted 500 baht more for scratching his bike. I gave him 300 baht or he said he would prevent us from leaving. We had to run out of there as he was becoming aggressive. They told us a taxi to town would be 500 baht. We went to the corner shop where the girl helped us and called a taxi. We only had to pay the taxi driver 100 baht. They never mentioned a late check out fee though they knew we would be back late with the bike and charged us another 500 baht. Our room was all packed up. The food is also overpriced for Thailand and the restaurant was closed the night we were there. They made us spring rolls but served the other guests, who were from the Netherlands a full meal. They stayed up late with them drinking and having a party. I think we spent more than 4000 baht there in 24 hrs. It is a very attractive place and the lady is very nice.

Over-priced stay ? Double room for two person incl. breakfast for only 1,194 THB, this you have paid by Booking.com. The motor-scooter you rented for 500 THB from us is a 150 cc, they are every where in the city 450/500 THB, only on our place you get a own detailed tour map, so you will visit many interesting places. (your fried rented a small scooter-bike from us also for 250 THB. We not indicated you to rent the big motor-bike, it was your own dissension. We recommend you to rent only the small one for both of you. Every where you have to put your own petrol in the scooter or when you rented with full tank you have to bring back after rental period with a full tank. Or you thought you rent this scooter with a full-tank, and bring him back with a empty tank. (then we make profit no at-all there we have to buy new petrol from the renting price)! You drove somewhere in a wrong direction isn't our fold, then you not have exact following our map. When you coming back, you do not mention to us of our staff about an accident, and you placed the motor-scooter in a corner so my wife can not see the damage of the scooter! When I check the scooter I see the damage and told this to you. I ask you why you not report the damage to me or my wife, you still mention to me there wasn't any accident! When we show you the damage you agreed. We are very kindly to you, there the scooter has damage on 3 places for about 1,500 THB, and you have to pay only one part 500 THB! You dropped 300 THB on my feet, and left our resort! My wife organised a taxi for you in advance to the bus-terminal for only 150 THB, this taxi we paid our-self for his service becorse you left already. We never mentioned a late check out ? In every room is mentioned on the room rules, check out time is 12.00 noon, so we can clean the room for the next guests, how can check in at 14.00 pm. You booked with Booking.com, On your booking you find also the check in and check out time. You have to check out of the room, and put your suitcase in our storage before you leave for the scooter trip, or asking us for a late check-out. Food overpriced ? We offer Thai dishes for 145 THB and this are big portions with meat from the fridge, not from the street! You booked only one night trough Booking.com and arrived on saturday evening, and on saturday evening our kitchen is closed after 18.00 pm (its the only evening free for our staff). My wife preferred you a large portion spring-rolls. The family from Italy has ordered their diner in advance, they was on a excursion the hole day and back around 18.00 pm. Yes you spent almost for 2.200 THB with two person. We thank you to use our Hospitality
