Looked like a great seperat house. but the sheets was covered in yellow stains op to 10cm. 10 one one and 3 on the other. Asked receptionist to fix it, one sheet was switched to a sheet with only 2 stains. talked to manager if it was possible to get clean sheets. but he just would not stop talking, could not get a word in. Asked for a refund and got it.

A quaint hotel with a nice quiet area surrounding us. We got one of the renovated rooms which felt comfy and very inviting. The bathroom was our favorite part, as it was spacy and it seemed like they really thought about the design to appeal to their guests. The bedroom also had an outdoor patio which was nice. The breakfast was also quite good. It was also easy to walk to other locations for shops or eating. The only downsides we had that since we were close to the pool, we could hear children playing at 6:30 hrs, which I think is too early for the pool to open. Also, the staff did not give us Wi-Fi passwords, but it was OK because we weren't in the room too often. But overall, an amazing place to stay!

A bright, clean, hotel, with pretty garden and lovely pool. Staff are friendly. breakfast was basic but fresh and good coffee machine. We did walk around the area but didn't eat there as we only had short time and we ate in the town. you would need transport and a taxi and tukTuk( more fun) were booked and arrived promptly .

All facilities are new renovated, even they have not many rooms. Clean & big rooms. Swimming pool is quite new and clean. Staffs are kind and willing to serve. The breakfast line is quite good, keep warm food, and refill all the time.

We stayed one night in a pool-access room and it was superb. The accommodation was new, bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a great relaxing time on our verandah while dipping our feet in the pool - too cold to swim otherwise. Unfortunately, we couldn't experience breakfast there because we were being picked up for a trip to Laos at 6.00am. But the staff packed us a small breakfast box to pick up at 6.00am and take with us, that was much appreciated. The location is great - walking distance to DiAngelos Italian restaurant and many other restaurants by the river. I will definitely book here again.

Amarin resort is getting increasingly popular with tourists travel in group. As mentioned, the rooms are good sized, beds are comfy, the swimming pool is a big plus. The resort is mid way between the down down and the airport. The resort is well maintained, you can see a lot of staffs are working here and there all day long. The resort is near the riverside and there are plenty restaurants, massage lounges, local stalls selling daily necessities, etc. But there is little traffic so you need your own mans of transportation. we depends on the hotel management to call taxi for us.

We spend a couple of nights in the Amarin Resort, close to the river and Hwy 1. Quick check-in, large and comfortable room in individual villa, with plenty of chairs and very comfortable bed, good quality linens and towels. Good aircon. Shower was a bit touchy with hot-water setting and overhead shower needs attention. Drinking water supplied in glass bottles. Good wifi in room. Very nice landscaping and safe covered parking. Clean swimming pool. Breakfast was excelleng with fruit, wheat bread, good brewed coffee and made-to-order breakfast. When staff learned that we don't like to eat pork, they made sure we had breakfast dishes with chicken. Very attentive staff. Only disadvantage of the Amarin Resort is the distance to down-town Chiang Rai, it sure works well having your own transportation. Several restaurants nearby on the river bank within walking distance.

I stayed in Thailand with my other half for 2 week and this resort had the best service and staff from all other hotels. Rooms are also great. It is near the river side street so it is not that noisy.

I was there for 3 nights and stayed in the individual villas. The check-in process was quick. The villa was fine, nothing special. There is a bench outside the villa to relax outside to enjoy the weather. The villa was quite large with a bench where you can relax on. The bed was comfortable. The washroom was quite small and it also included the closet in there which I thought was quite unusual. The shower was also quite small. The tv was small but there are many channels to choose from. Wifi was a bit slow at times but it is free. When I checked-in to the room, I noticed that the safe-deposit box did not work so I informed the front desk before leaving. A few hours passed and I came back and it was not fixed. I had to inform them the next day again and they then brought a key so I could use it. On my second day there, another issue was that when my towels were changed, the one I received was still a bit damp. Breakfast was very disappointing. There was not much selection to choose from and what they had was cold. The fried eggs, sausages, etc. The food was probably cooked until the kitchen in advance and took it out when needed. The only hot food was the boiled rice. I did not even go for breakfast on my last day there. Unacceptable. On the last day, I wanted to request a late check out as my flight was at 3:50 pm. I have never been ask to pay for a late check out at any of the hotels that I have stayed at in Thailand and it is quite a few. I was told that I had to pay 100 thb for every hour. I declined I would not stay at the Amarin Resort again. Try another hotel if you’re planning to stay in Chiang Rai.

Very dissappointed in our 1 night stay at Amarin resort. We were staying in Chiang Rai for one night with my husband as well as another couple who were travelling with us thus we booked 2 rooms side by side. The hotel grounds were lovely and the check in process was fine as well. The rooms themselves were decent, nothing horrible just simply outdated which came with a very strange smell from which your stuff would smell. Unfortunately one of our friends fell very ill during our stay in Thailand and had to stay in the room the entire time, the next morning my husband and I checked out while our friends requested for a late check out which they were denied as they said "All rooms were booked" however they did end up staying in the room until 1:00 pm instead of 12:00. When they came to check out the attendant informed them that apparently they had thrown a hand towel into the trash and there were to pay a fee (which they had not thrown in the trash) but regardless being in a different country and the state that our friend was in they paid. Afterwards, the gentleman (who we assumed was the manager) was not very happy that our friends wanted to wait in the lobby until their Uber arrived as there was a huge tour bus coming shortly and he practically ushered them out of there. I was absolutely appalled. Basically when taking your money they are all nice and smiley but as soon as that's done they could not care less about you. It was by far the worst experience we had in Thailand in which we had stayed in excess of 10 hotels. Also location itself is very isolated and in a sketchy area. Pay a little more and go somewhere else.
