A quaint hotel with a nice quiet area surrounding us. We got one of the renovated rooms which felt comfy and very inviting. The bathroom was our favorite part, as it was spacy and it seemed like they really thought about the design to appeal to their guests. The bedroom also had an outdoor patio which was nice. The breakfast was also quite good. It was also easy to walk to other locations for shops or eating. The only downsides we had that since we were close to the pool, we could hear children playing at 6:30 hrs, which I think is too early for the pool to open. Also, the staff did not give us Wi-Fi passwords, but it was OK because we weren't in the room too often. But overall, an amazing place to stay!

A bright, clean, hotel, with pretty garden and lovely pool. Staff are friendly.
breakfast was basic but fresh and good coffee machine. We did walk around the area but didn't eat there as we only had short time and we ate in the town. you would need transport and a taxi and tukTuk( more fun) were booked and arrived promptly .

our room was generally nice and clean well above standard judging by its value (30 USD a night). The area of this resort is rather small but well organized. no matter which room you choose, your room will be faced up nice garden and beautiful flowers in the middle of the compound. A major drawback is that the hotel itself is situated a bit far of the city center so for those who don't travel with their own car might get stuck there waiting for a TukTuk in the city to pick them up. as for a Tuk Tuk (motocycle Taxi), you can arrange one in advance at the front desk.

Looked like a great seperat house. but the sheets was covered in yellow stains op to 10cm. 10 one one and 3 on the other. Asked receptionist to fix it, one sheet was switched to a sheet with only 2 stains. talked to manager if it was possible to get clean sheets. but he just would not stop talking, could not get a word in. Asked for a refund and got it.

This hotel consists of lovely single bungalow type buildings. The bedroom is extremely large with 4 windows letting in lots of light. The bedding was great, air conditioning worked perfectly and the bathroom was nicely appointed with a wall separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom - very appreciated in southeast Asia! Lovely garden on the property. Only drawback is the slightly remote location of the property but a short tuk tuk ride into town. Good value.

Staff was very helpful calling tuk tuk when we requested one. Internet service was intermittant - it worked better in the dining area.

We have spent a couple of weekends here. We have enjoyed each stay. The staff are kind and helpful. They speak English a bit, too. We had no difficulty with our rooms. The rooms are quite large with adequate space to sit other than on the bed. They have a nice bench outside which enables one to enjoy the ambiance of their park like setting. All rooms are bungalow type. Possibility of a small party room - a group of up to about 15. The pictures they display of their property are accurate. The stay is quiet which is quite relaxing. The location is a five minute drive from the night markets.

The breakfast provided with the stay is a choice from 3 options, all quite adequate. I only wish the coffee were brewed instead of instant. They also have a nice lobby room in which to relax. For evening meals there is a busy Chinese restaurant within walking distance (less than 1/2 km). Evening meals are not offered at the resort.

We stayed at the Amarin Resort for 7 nights and had a very positive experience!

It has been a long time since we have discovered a hotel, b&b, service apartment or resort that is such good value for money.

The grounds are spacious and well kept.

Rooms are large, clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed the king-size bed, linen and towels.

Breakfast consists of fruits, and a choice of 6 mains such as eggs done to your specification, fried rice and Thai congee that is cooked when ordered.
No wastage this way.
Toasts and jam.
There is usually a Thai dessert or soya bean with fried dough.
Not pretentious but an enjoyable way to start the day!

Apart from the manager Mr Athiwat Yathong, the rest of the staff speak little English.
We got by with patience and gestures.

What you see from the photographs is what you actually get!

Our family really enjoyed the lovely, spacious rooms, all new and very clean. It is located very near a fabulous Chinese restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay. The bright, white room style and modern bathroom was very simple but enjoyable. We would definitely stay here another time.

Indeed, the room was big but not completely clean. Besides, the bathroom was damaged because the sink drops and it was impossible to fix the right temperature shower.
Despite Thailand has lot of wonderful fruits, Amarin resort just have 2 types for the breakfast and are totally tasteless.
The staff seems to try to trick you insisting on buying trips or increasing the prices of external services as taxis.
Definitely, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Amarin resort is situated on opposite of the expressway from the old Chiang rai city. It is more serene and less crowded. Amarin is also situated within walking distance of LuLum restaurant which offers authentic northern Thai food at reasonable prices and also LeelaWadee which is a more upscale restaurant. It is suitable if you drove. There is sufficient parking.

Rooms are spacious and clean. I rented a twin room in the new building. The individual bungalows are the older part of the resort. There is free wifi and speeds are acceptable.
Breakfast is simple and served between 6am and 10am
