Despite its poetic moniker, this property appears to be a recently renovated 80's provincial business hotel with an identity crisis. A rather imposing structure, separated from the road by a vast and desolate piece of land, that might serve as a helicopter landing area, neither the building nor the surroundings explain the rather poetic and charming name. The only attribute...

Outside appearance doesn't gaurantee best service you expect to get from the price you pay. The decoration makes you feel staying in Europe at spring or autumn. The overall service need much better improvement. Just keep it simple to vomfort your guest. That counts!!!

Bad checkin... The girl spent 15 mins on the home while I stood there and couldn't get the copy machine to work (I ended up giving her a copy of my passport), couldn't get a drink at their 'bar' at 8:30pm (RUDE bartender about it!!), then trapped in a broken elevator, then they 'checked' the room before giving me back...

We stayed in family suite for 3 nights and did enjoy our stay there. Room was spacious, clean, comfort and have a free mini bar. Hotel is not too far from center and Sunday walking street (Thanon Khon Muan), will be more convenient if you have personal car (or if you like walking exercise). Breakfast is on set menu where...

We had booked 3 rooms for Dec. 6 - 9. We physically checked the hotel on Dec. 5 to make sure our reservation was ok and were told that we had rooms on the 4th. floor. We saw a notice that the pool was under renovation but this was ok since it was winter and we had no desire to...

To be honest, I didn't quite expect such a stylish hotel at this price. The decor is sophisticated colonial style with a modern Thai take, The lobby and the yard are as magnificent as in the pictures (and the details are even better). The location is ideal for me --- quiet residential area, facing main street and within 10 minutes...

The building still looks okay. However, the air-condition in the room cannot turn up or down and it is very loud. I want to turn the temperature up because it is too cold so I eventually decided to turn it off for a while.

Ok hotel for short stay. A bit spartan but fine for this part of Thailand. Good breakfast. Convenient location for the town. Nice people, quiet, and good price. Chiang Rai is prone to earthquakes so major investment has gone to Chiang Mai which is booming...and has been spoilt. Chiang Rai still has the air of a quiet country town and...

“All rooms face the same way...toward the front. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, but some of the room colors were a bit too "loud" for my taste, so I chose the black room and have reserved it for myself again this time. My friends have chosen the pink room.”
