Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

A lovely oases of greenery in an urban setting. On your way to your room you enter a corridor of green foliage and enter a haven of peace and calm beauty. Your room is a bungalow and has all you need. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom spacious. There is a gorgeous pool with plenty of sun beds. If you want to tan, it’s best to go before 3 pm, after which the trees shade the pool. The complimentary breakfast is ample. We had a lovely stay and will be back.

Beautiful property booked as part of a group tour. The room was large and updated. Our only complaint was there are no luggage racks. The grounds are lovely, and the restaurant was delicious for both dinner and breakfast. We arrived late which was unfortunate as the pool and grounds were immaculate, but we had no time in which to enjoy them.

Spent 5 happy nights in the hotel. Accommodation is individual lodges set in extensive tropical gardens with beautiful swimming pool. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant are on site in a detached building and food was good. Ideal hotel for chilling out or exploring Northern Thailand

Individual bungalows set in tropical gardens with large swimming pool. Buffet dinner was excellent as was the breakfast. Very comfortable bed with 6 pillows! Great location for all the sights on The Golden Triangle area.

Was not real excited about this place as we were looking for something on the fly, which I rarely do. We pulled in after dark so when we went to see a room I couldn't see very well but could tell that the property extended a lot further back that I would've thought. The other thing that I noticed was that as busy as it was out on the street it was quiet in the back and all the foliage. Next morning we woke up and I went for a stroll. WOW, It was like a jungle paradise along the pathway to the pool. Flowers, trees all making for a single canopy of relaxing and tranquil atmospheres. It was beautiful. You could tell if you looked close that it was kept well, but the way they did it looked as if it was growing wild. The pool was large and refreshing. The bell staff was great and always helpful and smiling. Breakfast was OK, not great but OK. Room was clean and comfortable My only criticism is the advance pay. Thailand in some hotels seem to have gone to this. We extended a could days and they demanded payment in advance even though I had given my credit card for the stay. Well things change I guess. I can't wait to go back to Chiang Rai to be able to go back to Laluna.

Beautiful, modern, clean, excellent, inexpensive hotel in Chaing Rai. Each room is a villa, with a separate exterior entrance. The pool is excellent (although the water is cold), and buffet breakfast is exceptional. The only issue is that it is a little removed from the central market/restaurant/temple area, but tuk tuks are cheap and it is certainly worth staying at such a beautiful facility. Do NOT attempt to take public transit to the airport (or anywhere else). The information on-line is misleading, and you will waste your day. Grab a tuk tuk - the 23 km trip to the airport costs 200 Baht.

The pool is huge but cold. The gardens are lush and green. The rooms are big, clean and devoid of any charm or character. The restaurant is closed and there is no bar. Breakfast is average. This is the only place in Thailand where there is no comfort or service for guests, so it was disappointing. There is nothing around the hotel in terms of decent restaurants or bars but there are tuktuks waiting to take you to the night market for 100 baht.

We were at Laluna for 3 nights with 4 other friends and at the time unfortunately the restaurant was closed. There is also no room service while my husband was unwell. It was well situated with east access to a good massage place and restaurants. The grounds were immaculate and lush and the pool was clean although cold. The rooms were large and spacious but lacked small details like hooks in the bathroom and a safe placed high, at a level where I needed a chair to reach up. Breakfast was the same all three days with minor changes. For the price paid, it was reasonable and acceptable but lacked the friendliness that we got in other hotels in Thailand.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. The enormous rooms are so clean and comfortable they give the impression of being brand new! The bed was the biggest we have ever seen. All this set in beautiful lush surroundings plus a super large swimming pool. For breakfast we enjoyed an excellent selection. The staff were super friendly and helpful, a big thank you to the staff who arranged for a "take-away" breakfast on the morning we had to depart at 6.00 am. It was a feast in a box!
