I really enjoyed my day here fishing for some huge fish. My largest of day was a 23kg Mekong catfish! A tough fight to bring it in. The staff were all nice and helpful! The food was good and the atmosphere chilled. I'd recommend to anyone visiting Hua Hin to try fishing here.

Came with my Dad for a full day package and for the third visit, was yet again not disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, always happy to help. The fish are always in excellent health. Excellent day at Hua Hin Fishing Lodge. Amazing fish and amazing service. Gu Nok was brilliant and helped in every way he could. Caught plenty of fish, and ate lunch next to the lake. Very reasonably priced. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Thank you

We visited the lodge 3 times on our recent trip to Hua Hin, I have been once before and my dad has been many times. This time there were a group of 6 of us. I didn’t fish, well I reeled one cat in but I was on photo duties mainly. The lodge is well maintained and Gu made sure we were all looked after. The food is lovely as is the hospitality. The group fished both lakes and caught some lovely fish. Thanks for the memories and an enjoyable 3 days

Second time back at the lodge and another great day of fishing, this time for my birthday. Started proceedings with a well cooked full English before getting down to business. Had a lovely shaded spot and managed to land 15 fish and 4 different species. A peaceful location in beautiful surroundings supported by a great team of staff. Thanks, we’ll be back!

Took my son for a great day out, the atmosphere is very well kept, relaxing and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, bringing umbrellas for when the sun got hot. My son had a great day, and was so proud of what he caught. In total he caught himself 14 fish, an incredible achievement for a 5 year old I would say.

I fished twice here within a week and caught lots of fish, in fact over 20 each day. I caught, Arapaima (35kg) Amazon Red tailed Catfish (40kg, 35kg) Giant Mekong Catfish (17kg) and Pacu (6kg) from the lower pond first day. On my second day I fished the top pond and again caught over 20 fish Giant Siamese Carp from 9-18kg (11 fish) The remainder made up of Giant Mekong catfish 8-17kg. The food was great, you can get a mix of Thai and western food. The guides were very attentive and did a great job. Top Marks

A thoroughly enjoyable day on the All Day Package. Caught a great variety of fish including Siamese Carp, Catfish and Pacu. I particularly wanted to catch a red tail catfish fish and managed two with my guide shouting how to play them in. Their initial power is awesome! I also had an alligator gar which does look like a cross between a gator and a pike. To finish the day perfectly I caught an Arapiama. Amazing. In total I had 16 fish and a fantastic fishing experience. My guide made sure every opportunity to catch was taken. Thank you.

As a commercial match angler in the uk I didn’t expect an action packed day, just a nice relaxed afternoon with a few beers. How wrong can you be. I arrived by scooter and was met by the Thai lady owner/cook around 11am she explained how the fishery operated and the priceing structure in good English. I opted for the top lake 800bht with rod (tackle is dated) 1loaf 20bht 1 bucket of ground bait 50bht. I chose a peg in the sun with a pagoda for the option of shade. For the non angler a guid will bait your rod and even cast it for you if you wish. He will also net and unhook any fish that are caught. My first cast resulted in a 18kilo carp followed by 17 other fish to 20kilo cat fish, buck and carp. Your not going to catch really big thai standard fish here but you will have bites and catch some fish. The total cost for the day was 1200bht with food and beer, I think good value ? Tight Lines.…

Treborrebwad, thank you for taking the time to review us. Our top pond holds fish to approx. 25Kg (Giant Siamese Carp, Mekong & Chao Phrya Catfish amongst others) and as you say for around THB 1200 / day you can expect a reasonable day’s fishing inclusive of food and a beer. Our bottom pond holds fish to 60+Kg (Mekong Catfish) plus Arapaima (to 50+Kg) plus Alligator Gar & Amazon Redtail Catfish to 30+Kg amongst others. A day here would be approx. THB 2,600, again inclusive of food and a beer. It’s nice to see that you may think that this is good value – we believe it is – when compared to some other fisheries that offer the same species (Some larger specimens, I agree) but at a far higher cost with surroundings no better than at Hua Hin Fishing Lodge. Your review is very much appreciated.
