The staff were extremely helpful. A jungly experience as there were lizards and such in the room, but the mosquito net worked well enough once I tied a hole up and I had a decent stay here. Electricity from 6pm to 6am only, as with most places on the island. There are cheaper options up the hill, but they are... More

I have never written a bad review... Ever. I'm fully understanding of what home stays and budget hotels are like and I am no ninny when it comes to the reality of being a backpacker. The room had black mold on the ceiling and walls, and the smell of mildew was very intense. The shower faucet was broken and the... More

The room was very basic and does feel like a concrete cell but you get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly and there was a social area to meet other travellers and use wifi which was fast and available all day. Like most other places on tonsai there was no power until 6pm and the room got... More

Stayed for two nights with my boyfriend, but ended up moving to a different place up the road. This place is really basic, as are many of the others in Ton Sai; picture it like rough summer camp cabins. We paid 1,000 Bhat per night for the private bungalow with bathroom. There are much better value places in Ton Sai;... More

I stayed here for 3 nights while in Railay but ended up having to move locations. The good: Friendly staff, quiet rooms, good location on Ton Sai, clean sheets. The bad: The room was a cinder block cell which allowed no air-flow (like a bungalow would), the bug net (and whole room) was musty and moldy smelling. The bathroom though... More

We spent one night in this hotel and regretted it immediately. First let me say that this resort is in Railay which is a very expensive area. It is on Tonsai beach which is next to Railay West. To get there you can take a boat from Railay West, walk a beach side trail if the tide is low enough... More

Tonsai is very much about enjoying the basic side of life. Your in the jungle with amazing views so expect to come across the wildlife that comes with that. We have had bugs, frogs, geckos etc all coming to say hi before moving onto their next destination. The room itself is very basic. It is a concrete room, fairly spacious... More

We are writing in order to make people aware about what s happening behind the bungalow of this Guest house. If someone wants to stay here should know that everyday on the back side, they make big fires with plastic. We tell you they lit the last one yesterday evening and now itis still burning ( so almost 20 hours... More

We stayed in an fan bungalow for 3 nights in May 2013. The Good: Good value. Fan worked when power was on. Right under the cliffs and in the jungle. Attached bath for cold showers for hot days. Porch to relax. The Bad: Like everywhere else, power shuts down half the time in shoulder season. A bit of a walk... More

You're in the jungle baby - stick to Koh Tao and similar if you don't like bugs. Stayed here for one night after staying in Countryside Resort for three weeks - the 5pm boat we arranged did not leave when the other passengers bailed last minute, and this place was much closer to the boats than Countryside. Was pretty good... More
