Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I checked in without reservation. Fern the owner of the hostel is so helpful kind and sociable. She speaks VERY good English and is just such a cool person to talk to. The hostel is spacious and has a living room area on the first floor.
Dorm and bathroom on the second floor were clean. Nothing to complain about.
Definitely would stay here again and I wish Fern good luck.

The hostel is a very nice and comfortable place to stay, a breakfast is included (which is rare in Thailand) and it's really good. Fern, the host, is super nice and welcoming, and makes it feel like home.

All honesty, we did not enjoy the city of Phetchaburi that much. But Ferngulley hostel was absolutely fantastic. The owner, Fern went above and beyond for us. She drove us to hidden sights, arranged for all our transportation, made sure there was always a fan nearby and even chased away monkeys for us. The hostel itself is clean and cozy with plenty of hangout areas, incredibly nice dorm rooms and a rooftop area. The rooms really are beautifully designed and the ac is so nice and cold. If you decide to stop in Phetchaburi, cannot recommend fergulley highly enough.

The owner -Fern- created such a beautiful place with an incredible warm-hearted atmosphere. You feel like home from the first minute on. She loves telling you about all the lovely places on this really nice town, showing you the sunset at a stunning place, drinking a beer with you in the evening and talking about everything what comes in your mind.
The hostel ist really cute and clean, the dorms are very nice, too. And don't forget about the monkeys,
Which are everywhere around because of the location of the hostel - it is directly in front of the historical park.
It was amazing to stay in ferngully hostel :)

If you want to feel home in Phetchaburi straight away, you should stay at Ferngully! A warm welcome, good advice and a wonderful sunset-trip: Fern is an excellent host and knows great (hidden) places in this authentic Thai city :) The dorms are nice and there are multiple places to relax and hang out with other guests.
