We visited the restaurant twice and we had great meals. The vibe is informal and the food is superb. The staff are friendly and they assist with a smile. If you like unpretentious good Thai food this gem is the right place.

I found out about this hotel through Lonely Planet, but unfortunately, the descriptions are quite short and don't include everything you need to know.
First of all, Cha-am is not as nice of a beach as I expected, but this is not the hotel's fault. The hotel is located directly across the street from a moderately used section of beach, which is something I liked. The restaurant has a nice environment and the food I've ordered has been good, though it's a little more expensive than I think it should be. On the second floor, there is a nice balcony area with a couch and a few chairs and small tables -- this area allows you to be outside, but out of the sun, and it's quite a pleasant area. There's also a computer (with internet) available for free guest use on this floor. Upstairs (it's important to note that the stairs are not enclosed in any way) is the first floor of rooms.
The first thing I noticed when I came into my room is that the floors are concrete (and not pretty concrete, just concrete). There's a mat in the floor, which helps, but really, the concrete is not so bad. The beds are quite close to the floor and aren't very comfortable -- all I can feel are the springs (this is the worst thing about this hotel). The pillows are also quite hard. There's a TV, a small fridge with free daily drinking water, a phone, a small sort of window seat and small air conditioning unit. There is free wifi in the rooms and it is much faster than the free wifi I get at my apartment in Bangkok.
The weird thing about this hotel is the "open" bathrooms -- what I mean by this is that where a wall might be (between my bathroom and the open stairwell), there are slatted wooden panels. There are glass "doors" that cover these panels, but 1) this means that I can hear what's going on downstairs when I am using the restroom, and 2) using the restroom doesn't feel as private as it should. When the TV is on downstairs or there is music playing, I have to close the bathroom door in order to help eliminate the noise (this doesn't completely block it out though and you may struggle a bit to get to sleep). I'm not sure if all of the rooms' bathrooms are like this -- it may be just half of them -- but this is quite strange to me. I should also mention that the hotel doesn't have any kind of door downstairs, so in some sense, I am outside when I am in the bathroom.
The bathroom is quite basic -- the hotel provides small packets of shampoo and conditioner and small bars of soap. There is no hand towel or washcloth, though I'm sure they would provide some if asked. The shower curtain is plastic and there is no electric water heater in the shower, but the water is not cold -- it's between hot and cold, not warm but not too cold -- a perfect temperature, really.
The free breakfast includes toast, croissants, tea, coffee and juice.
The staff is quite nice -- their English isn't perfect, but we all get by.
All in all, I enjoyed this hotel. It's somewhat new -- which is important to me in Thailand -- and the restaurant and balcony are nice places to pass the time.

Excellent service. Great room. Real value for money.
The hotel is located at the Boulevard in Phetchaburi Cha Am. A simple tourist hotel.
Staff was extremely well service-minded, special requests were done with a smile. Breakfast was good, dinners were great, room spacy and clean. For people who don't want to spent too much money but want to have a great experience in Cha Am : this is the place to be!
In front of hotel beach (just at other side of the road); great beach for swimming and sunbathing. Shops and restaurants besides hotel.

Hi, we travelled from BKK to Cha-Am and took us around 2.5hours.. we stayed here for 1 night because of Santorini's park and some other attraction.. Location was okay, opposite of beach and there were food stalls, 7-Eleven and etc.. Hotel were clean and receptionists were friendly and helpful..

Advise :

1) IF you are about to book this hotel, let me advise you not to take breakfast, as their breakfast was not worth it..
2) IF you travel from BKK to this town, go with mini van which only cost you around 200baht per person, if taxi they will charge you 2000baht..

Lovely place opposite the beach. Little restaurant at the front providing great food from their big clean kitchen. No lift but I was on the 3rd floor 'penthouse ' which meant balcony and view of the beach. Considered the wooden stair climbing as my holiday exercise! Big clean rooms. Wifi good. Staff very lovely. Air con quiet and v effective. Cool decor. Second floor is additional restaurant tables and general lounge and hang out areas. Street noise very minimal. 7 eleven 1 min away. Asia hotel next door has a gorgeous pool looking over the ocean. You can rent a poolside deck chair for 150bht ☺️😎
Win win!!

This hotel has nice decor, well kept and cared for by the owners.
We stayed in the Penthouse room on the top floor. I think the only difference between this and the other sea view rooms are that it is slightly bigger and get some more complementary items including 2 cans of diet coke, 3 cartons of orange juice, some potato chips.
The room was nice, simple, clean. The bed was good. the bathroom was good and had a rain effect shower.
The room included a large fridge, LCD HD TV, DVD player, bedside tables with lamps, bean bag.
The air conditions was good, often in hotels the A/C is directed directly towards the bed which I don't like. The A/C in this room is not like that so we were able to get a very comfortable room temperature.
The location was very good, there is a 7/11 shop within a minutes walk, and the beach is across the road.
The food in the hotel is very good if you stick to Thai dishes. The American breakfast was poor by my (British) standards.
The free breakfast was a croissant and 2 slices of toast and a cup of coffee or tea. The coffee was very good.
We will stay here again on our next trip to Cha Am but would probably stay in one of the cheaper sea view balcony rooms instead of the penthouse. The Penthouse room is on the fourth floor so it's a fair walk up the stairs, not ideal if you lack some fitness. But good if you want exercise.

For the hotel to get 5 stars from me they would need to install double glazing because of the noise from the road and the beach. The noise isn't to bad though, not enough to put me off staying again.

The beach is good, not crowded and safe for swimming.

For fresh sea food, turn left out of the hotel and follow the beach road for as far as you can go, there you will find sea food restaurants right next to where the fishing boats come in with there daily catch. The prices are much cheaper than Hua Hin.

Cha Am is more for Thai tourists so there aren't so many good western restaurants, but more Thai restaurants and things are generally cheaper here (souvenirs, clothing etc).

The hotel rents motorbikes for 300baht a day. There may be cheaper options available from other operators but often a passport or large deposit is required. So if you want a motorbike get it from the hotel.

This really is a lovely little hotel and excellent value for money
It is nicely furnished and I particularly liked the real teak floors .. it is extremely clean too
But what really makes this place is the quality of the service
.. the staff are excellent .. so helpful, friendly and polite which for us made a huge change from a recent experience in Koh Samet and makes for an overall excellent experience
We stayed two nights in a room with a view of the sea .. the restaurant also is very good .. top quality food served well and quickly .. we also enjoyed the cocktails they had on offer of two for price of one
So all in all we highly recommend this lovely little place !!!

We stopped by on the off chance (there isn’t much in Cha-am) and we had the best food! We plan on coming back tomorrow for more before we leave :)

Give the European places a miss and come here.

If you’re like me and love spicy food make sure you ask them when ordering otherwise they’ll presume you won’t like it hot.

I drove from Bangkok to stayed here for my weekend for 1 night with my friend.
I booked 2 days before arrived about 900 baht. This is good price for me on weekend.
Parking : On the stree in front of hotel, I think it is not safe especially accident by other cars. They had quota to park at Asia Hotel (next to) but limited quota you must booked with staffs.

Wifi : free and strong

Area : Next to the beach (cross the road).

Room : My room no view. Wide room and bathroom. Shower room was separated. Free 2 bottles of drinking water.

Breakfast : 2 choices of bread with coffee or boiled rice.

Staff : Freindy.

Nice hotel and love cha-am without the usual western tourists. Rooms are simple with comfortable beds and LCD tv. Unfortunately the bathroom (which in itself is great with nice modern set-up) has no proper walls and therefore you can hear everything from the common areas. Lovely staff who do anything you ask of them and the food is quite good too. No pool but directly opposite the beach (that is, 50 metres). At about a 1000 baht per night recommended but don't expect 5 star
