Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The ladies running this place were so efficient they had everything spotlessly clean and could organise anything you wanted. We had the top floor room with bathroom and fridge which was perfect for us. No breakfast is available and only limited options in town, but now that 'coffee culture' has hit Thailand we managed!
Our visit coincided with Loy Krathong and the street right out front was the centre of the festivities so was extremely convenient! Lots of people having fun and lots of different foods to try!
A nice, friendly non-touristy town with plenty to do for a couple of days. This guest house was exceptional value and we really could not fault it!

Stayed 3 nights.

Pros = Large room. Cleanliness. Helpful staff. Quiet. Value for money.

Negatives = Room B1 at top of building. The 3 flights of stairs were no problem for me, but may be an issue for some.
No breakfast, but can make yourself tea/coffee in ground floor kitchen area.

Tips = Breakfast can be brougt locally as close to good eateries where locals queued for breakfast. Also couple of nice coffee shops (one adjacent to 7/11 in heritage building). The 7/11 is very close. Good restaurant 50m from Guest House, turn right onto road leading over bridge. Restaurant by side of bridge before you cross.

Overall = I would definately stay there again.

The Guesthouse is well located on a quiet historic Soi near the Phetchaburi River. Clean! Quiet! Fantastic staff! The balconies are a great place to relax and hang out. Close to all the sites. Bikes a little dated, but free!

Why there is a swimming pool in the hotel’s pics is beyond me. It’s a sort of dumpy place. WiFi wasn’t working at first. Lots of rules. It’s a decent location and the staff tries their best. I’m sure there are better choices in the area. Go find them.

Very peaceful and quite. Comfortable bed. Free breakfast. Friendly owner and staff. I can't say enough good things about it. Had my best sleep here in years. Close to food shops and 711 and not far from all the attractions. Has a big patio on the top floor with all sorts of quiant nooks and crannies. I was very impressed with the value and stayed an additional 2 days because I liked it so much. Will defenately return, and is my place of preference to stay now in Phetburi. They even reserved a parking spot for me right infront of the door with my name on it! These guys do bend over backwards to make you welcome. I'm very happy with my stay, I also work with the hotel industry by trade, so me being impressed is saying that they are doing it right.

My sister and I stayed at White Monkey for 2 nights. We had a twin room with air-con and a shared bathroom. The guest house is pleasant and very clean, and the street is quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free wifi is available in the room. Breakfast is simple hostel fare: toast, sausages, egg, coffee. There is an outdoor space at the front of the building where you can relax and have a drink. (You can buy drinks at the guest house). It is a good value guest house in a convenient location. I can also recommend Rabieng Rim Nam Restaurant and Pagoda Cafe on the same street.

A modern and clean guesthouse in a small typical street near the river and beside a temple, in the nice city of Phetchaburi. In this city, you can see the real Thailand far from the touristic places, because a lot of tourists don't stay here more than a quick day. As the people of this city, the owners of White Monkey Guesthouse are very very kind ! Always here to help us and guide us. Large breakfast included in the price of the room, and bikes rental (for free during 2 hours !). The room was very clean and comfy. Everything was so great in this Guesthouse ! We've really enjoyed our stay. :)

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, air conditioning, fast wifi, modern rooms and great decor. Bathrooms equivalent or better than you would find in europe! NIce deck area outside. Easy to walk to most places or they will organise transport for you. Staff were great although at times younger ones didn't care as much and I got the impression they were more interested in having fun with each other than helping guests.
