Detailed Reviews
Four of us spent 7 days in Lakeside Villa - Coconut Paradise and chose it based on the reviews in T/A.
We weren’t disappointed and found everything to be exactly as described. Booking and payment were handled by email without problem.
The villa/s are situated in beautiful tropical gardens (we had two pool-boys tidy our grounds and pool each day) … and the owners Sue and Phil are most hospitable people who have made sure that everything in their Villa/s is just right.
Our 2 bedroom villa had a full kitchen with all necessary appliances, crockery, a hairdryer, washing machine, iron and ironing board, TV plus a selection of DVD’s and books, etc.
A complete “starter-pack” was supplied, including: bread, milk, eggs, mini muffins, soft drink, beer, soda water, tea, coffee, wine, butter, jam, cereal, fruit, dish detergent, washing detergent, etc ... but do remember, this is self-catering accommodation and top-up supplies are your responsibility.
On check-in, Phil spent around half an hour indoctrinating us into the surroundings and facilities available … and we were happy to follow-up on a number of his recommendations (all of which were A1).
The villas are about 10 minutes walk from the restaurant/bar strip (in either direction) and we found it very convenient to have our own rental car (particularly as the weather was hot and very steamy).
For anyone requiring supplies, there are a number of 7-11’s within 10 minutes walk, however we found the widest variety of supplies to be in the (non 7-11) store in the side street immediately opposite Nikita’s restaurant.
During our stay we visited the following eateries:
Coconut Paradise Restaurant Rawai beachfront – Great
Nikita’s Rawai – Great (but read my review on it) :-)
Banana Corner Rawai (twice) Great
Baan Rimlay Rawai (next to Nikita’s) Good
Bon Island (for a feed, a Pina Colada, and a great day out) Fantastic
Freedom Beach Restaurant Rawai (for Breakfast and Dinner) Magic
Small Viewpoint Restaurant above Kata (Breakfast 10am) Great views
Cape Promthep Restaurant (great sunset – ordinary food) Disappointing
Kata Mama Seafood (great beachside location) Good
Black Canyon (many locations) Good coffee and OK breakfast
Tung Ka Restaurant - Rang Hill (fantastic views over Phuket Town) Great
Nai Harn Beach (breakfast in one of the small restaurants facing the beach) Good
Pacific Club Dining Room Karon - (lunch by the pool twice) – Great
Anne Restaurant Karon – (food was good, cutlery was dirty) – Give it a miss
In conclusion – a great place to stay, in a quiet location with hosts that care – We are in our 50’s/60’s and loved it, but it would also be a great place to take the kids (you can sit inside and see them in the pool – and vice versa). We thoroughly enjoyed it!

My family of 5 stays here every year. There are different sized villas to suit couples through to large families. We rent the 4 bedroom villa with plenty of room to spare. The washing machine gets a work out with 3 children. You’ll need transport, which can be organised by management.

8th year in a row staying here. Family of 5. Great option with children as washing machine gets a workout. Staff eager to help with any issue. You will need transport. I get this arranged for me each year. Plenty of restaurant options nearby. Thoroughly recommended.

I'm just back from a great break that included a weeks stay at Coconut Paradise (CP). After attending the Singapore Grand Prix with friends, I wanted to go on a short break and CP seemed the perfect place to chill out. My job is intense and as I was on my own at this point I wanted somewhere that I could really chill out but when I wanted - could go out and eat drink and get merry.
From arrival to departure there were no issues at all. I was met by Chris when I arrived by taxi (organised by CP) and I think it took about 30 mins but only cost £15-20. You get a vibe for a place and once the taxi passed through the electric gates in to the villa's, you knew you were in for a chilled out break.
The villa was very clean and had everything you needed. They have a superb welcome pack in the room that explains where everything is and what restaurants are good. The pack gives you all the info you need.
I hired a car (again through CP) and managed to visit most of the beaches and tourist areas on the island. Patong and Phuket Town are much busier, Rawai on the other hand was very quiet and that suited me just fine.
The night before I left Chris popped by to wish me well and check I was all OK for the journey home.
All together a superb break and very relaxing. Sadly I am back in Scotland now and it is currently 3 degrees and I've just got back from the office after a 12 hour shift (back to reality!).
Thanks again!

Wow, we would like to thank Phil for the outstanding Villa provided to us at such short notice, and the welcome pack was fantastic after driving 2 hours from Khao Lak and with 2 kids it was good to not have to find a store till morning. The tour around Rawai was great. The staff are fantastic. The pool was amazing, and so pretty at night with the lighting. We hired scooters as it's to far to walk to the beaches. Has some amazing restaurants close by. Can't wait to come back to coconut paradise we recommend this place in paradise for families or couples who want to rejuvenate in tranquility.

Wow this place and its owners are the best I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I used the taxi service offered by them for the airport pickup and was met by Phiip and Chris and shown around my two bedroomed Villa which was Bon Island Villa . The villa was just so beautiful in a quiet location and had everything you could possibly need microwave, cooker, washing machine, large fridge and freezer, tv and dvd, outside terrace and patio, 2 bedrooms plus sofa beds in lounge, garden area and pool , sunbeds and internet connection. I had only due to weight restrictions fetched a small laptop so could not connect by cable in the villa as it did not have a port Philip and Chris went out of their way to buy and set up a wifi transmitter for me. That is customer service going more than the extra mile. I can not thank them enough. There was also a welcome pack in the villa with enough to get you started and the complimentary tour of the Rawai area showing you the beaches, restaurants, shops and best places to go is again great service. I also reccommend their very own Coconut Paradise Bistro Bar Restaurant on Rawai seafront for superb food which they will also deliver to your villa. The Coconut Paradise team Philip , Sue, Chris, Ken and Tip offer friendly and personal service and go the extra mile and much more. I did not want my time to end here so I will have to make plans to return as Paradise it is.

So late in my review!
A group of 3 of us rented both the hotel/ motel rooms of “Coconut Paradise Holiday Villas" on Rawai beach in January 2016.
The process of booking, having transportation set up to/ from the Phuket airport, check in/out was super easy. Dealkng with the whole team (primarily Jittra) via email was always with prompt and pleasant professional communication.
We always felt safe staying here, and the rooms were clean and a more than adequate place to rest and recover after our daytime adventures about the island. This is NOT a resort, but a quaint few rooms set behind the bar and grille. (Convenient for a refreshing drink or some food just about any time!)
Way more affordable than many other places in Phuket, and a way less overrun area.
Rawai itself was not overrun with tourists, but still had access to good food, beautiful views, and of course refreshing drinks at this bar. We had no issues taking the bus/truck system to other local beaches and Phuket town, as well as some of our booked excursions picked us up right in front of the restaurant. A very relaxing and affordable stay.
Plus several good Thai massage parlors nearby, and several good breakfasts had at a cute little French bakery located about next door.
Maybe the beds were a little hard, but overall no complaints and I would certainly recommend staying here as a very affordable and adequate option in Phuket.

What a truly amazing complex of villas in the most amazing place , nothing is to much trouble for Ken & Tip and they go out of there way to ensure you have the most memorable holiday experience possible. The villa had everything you could possibly need. The private pool was a dream and everything is kept spotlessly clean by the coconut paradise team .. 100% 10/10 the best place to stay in Rawai.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home...
The whole lot have made me and my girls a special family holiday...
Going to miss living in this small little village in Rawia away from the hustle and bustle of the seafront and main strip...
All the best for the future to you all.

Hi There,
Big Buddha is approx 10 minutes drive from the villas.
Regards
Chris
The village is relatively small, so we hired motorbikes to get around. Beaches 5 minutes away, with long boats, restaurants and markets. Great massage place called Ni massage. Hired a open mini bus another day to bring us around to different places of interest as Phuket only half an hour away.
