Situated right on the beach, with magnificent views over the Gulf of Thailand, the property is hugely popular with locals, ex-pats and tourists alike. Staff are on duty 24 hours, rooms have separate bedrooms and living rooms and are fully furnished. The Kantary Bay is by far my favourite hotel in Rayong, right on the beach with spectacular views up and down Rayong's wonderfully shaped beach. The hotel is getting on a bit now but still offers charm by the bucket full. The staff cannot do enough to help you. The rooms are well appointed and very spacious, I usually go for a suite which gives you a kitchen, lounge and large Bedroom with en-suite. There is an excellent restaurant, fitness room and pools, a sauna is also available. Straight across the road you are at the beach which at night opens up many great seafood restaurants. Highly recommend a visit here if you like the beach and seafood.

I have been here with my friends twenty years ago, sending my friends to their rooms and looked around but did not spent the night here. However, when I came back to Rayong, I wanted to enjoy the local market and cook my own meals from fresh seafood, so l looked for rooms equipped with kitchen, so I ended here, knowing they have a good kitchen with a complete set of utensils.
I also prefer a room with sea view, so I called the place for more information. A staff (Khun Mimi) kindly explain to me that studio room has been newly renovated but does not face the beach directly so I book a one bedroom suite. Even though I anticipated the room to be pretty old, I was impressed by how well they maintenance the place, not much older than what I have seen twenty years ago.
Essentially, this place is a service apartment that aims to serve long term customers, that maybe the reason why the facilities when beyond my expectation. Gym, swimming pool, snooker, ping pong are for free, while bowing, tennis court and pools table are available with some extra charges. If you are not the type of young energetic travelers with lots pf plan in mind, just have some rough plan that I want to spend a week by the sea, this place is ideal. Also thank to Khun Mimi again for helping me with car rental. Rayong is not that convenient in terms of public transportation. I planned to survive by calling cars from an application but gave up and rented a car instead.

The staff were extremely polite, helpful and friendly. The location is great and the room (1 b/r) was big, comfortable and clean. There are many facilities with a sauna, 2 pools, a hot jacuzzi, a 3-lane automated 10-pin bowling alley and a well equipped gym. Plus, the bath towels, sheets and pillowcases were washed with fabric conditioner so they were soft and smelled great. One nice touch was the maids opened the doors to all the empty rooms daily so as to air them out. Good to see. The restaurant staff were great, and they had a good eye for detail. Reception staff were helpful and efficient. We were so pleased we extended our visit and have booked another one for October.

Hotel is very well located on the beach road and provides excellent views of the sea. Each evening you have food shacks on the beach for value but quality dining. The rooms are quite okay, Unfortunately, the room given to be on day of arrival developed a serious AC issue and had a rather uncomfortable night. The Front Office Manager was kind enough to upgrade me to a single bedroom suite for the rest of the stay. Breakfast which was included in the room price was quite okay. They have a snooker table and a game center which offers pool, bowling and karaoke. Overall staff and courtesy was very good.

We booked a suite with a separate bedroom. A very warm welcome from front office manager Mimi at reception. She gave us a beautiful suite with a balcony and a direct sea view. The generous facilities with kitchen and washing machine were very extensive and practical, the bathroom with bathtub and walk-in rain shower was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extremely large, varied and very good. The coffee was the best ever and was constantly refilled by the very friendly staff. This is our second time staying here and we will so so again. It’s directly across the street from the beach where there is a very good restaurant situated on the beach itself. Back at the hotel there is also a very good restaurant serving both Thai as well as Western fare. This is where the breakfast buffet is situated which has all the usual plus an egg station. The cafe out front serves lighter fare but is also very good.
There is a well kept large swimming pool, a tennis court, and an entertainment facility with bowling, air hockey, ping pong and a pool table.
The room we had was a suite with a kitchen and sitting area ,an outdoor balcony overlooking the beach , and two TVs
There is daily housekeeping and overall the entire hotel is well maintained and clean.
Finally the price is right with a reasonable charge for all you gat.

Spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms in a hotel with two swimming pools and other facilities; right opposite the beach. The standards of service in the restaurant and at the reception desk are very high - nothing is too much trouble and they respond quickly. The breakfast options are extensive and very good.
Rayong is popular with visitors from Bangkok and the local beach facilities are aimed mainly at them, rather than international visitors. It is about a half hour (350 THB) taxi ride to Ban Phe where you can catch a ferry to Ko Samet.

This was our first time staying here but wont be our last. The hotel has recently been refurbished and there is new carpeting in the hallways and greasy paint throughout. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. When i checked in there was a slight language barrier but one of the bellhops arrived and, being fluent in English, got the process done smoothly. He then gave me directions for parking and waited at the room for my arrival. The breakfast is typical and good but not great. Adequate including an omelette station.
The hotel is directly across the street from the beach and there is an excellent restaurant on the sand where excellent Thai food is available.
There are two very nice pools long enough for lap swimming .
We hope to return for another relaxing stay.

The rooms are clean, very spacious, not expensive at all, sea view but not chaotic. There is a pool for children to play in. We came as a family. The children liked it very much. The breakfast was very diverse. The taste was good. The service staff was very good. I liked it. Will come again next trip. When making a reservation, it is recommended to make a reservation.
