I decided to try this hotel for 4 nights whilst working at the nearby airport - 3km. The previous week I had spent at the Neptunia Beach which I found to be good. They are closed now until the spring of 2017, so I took a chance on their near neighbour, The Liberty. Initially, I was in a front-facing room...

When I were there with my family, we were advised by the only man in the lobby. He gave us a room where the smell was really very very bad. Otherwise we were obliged to be in the first floor face to the road (so many insects and bad smells). What was unexpected from the that man is that he...

Had to cut short my stay because of mean service quality in the hotel: catering service, animation, room status.. all depends on nbr of residents. By chance we came when less then 20 rooms were ocvupief do you can imagine how poor was our stay. Never going back there.

one of only two English guests but I am sure they would have had a great time like the two of us, totally independent of each other. The staff worked hard to show their appreciation of all the guests that had come to support not only the hotel but also the people of Tunisia. New years eve was superb with...

Where do I start............

There are many reviews for the Ramada Liberty Resort Hotel, Skanes, Tunisia that are fraudulent and written by the staff of the hotel. These reviews are very misleading and are not reflective of the standards held by this resort. Families, couples and individuals are effectively being fraudulently misled into paying hard earned money and wasting their holiday time here. The management of the hotel need to address this and Trip Advisor need to do more to control it. Trip Advisor must be aware that this is happening as many of the reviews clearly state that the staff are influencing these reviews. Many reviews clearly question the standard of the hotel and food. This is not an isolated case.

I spent two weeks at the hotel - 16th to 30th July 2014 and personally witnessed members of the animation team coercing guests into writing reviews in exchange for free Wi-Fi. I specifically witnessed one animation team member, Nino, pestering a 15 year old girl into writing a review via mobile phone whilst she was sat next to the pool. That review is posted here under ‘Chloe C’ and gives a glowing but very misleading review. We spent those two weeks with Chloe on a daily basis sat around the pool and know full well that the written review is not the view she held whatsoever.

I have attempted to post a lengthy review on two separate occasions highlighting the fraud that is going on with these reviews and highlighting the attempts of the staff to influence reviews and both attempts of submitting those reviews have been banned by Trip Advisor. Trip Advisor emailed me to advise me that they banned those reviews because they are unable to post my comments accusing the hotel of fraud? This contradicts Trip Advisors own policy.

I have reported this fraud directly to Trip Advisor and identified reviews that are fraudulent and indicated how they have been written yet Trip Advisor have done absolutely nothing. I have also suggested to Trip Advisor that they prevent any review being written from the Tunisian IP address of the Hotel.

In my opinion, Trip Advisor are actively permitting fraudulent reviews and banning honest and helpful reviews written by real and honest guests.

I no longer have any confidence in the ratings for hotels on Trip Advisor.

Trip Advisor……..what are you doing about these specific incidents and reports of fraud?

Hotel management……..What are you doing about this fraud and the real standards at your hotel?

My next move is to write directly to the national press and trading standards to get this addressed.
