Courtyard is an intimate exclusive boutique hotel, the first and only restoration hotel in the old town of Kalkan. Originally the site of an underground cistern providing water to passing travellers and later the home of the Yilmaz family, these buildings have been beautifully restored to provide six unique bedrooms, each with their own personality and style.

I arrived in Kalkan after a gruelling day on the Lycian Way. The Courtyard wasn't officially open, but they welcomed me anyway. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The hosts very friendly and the breakfast excellent. Wonderful place to indulge before hitting the trail again.

Back to the relaxing embrace on the courtyard. An oasis of calm in this mad world. Marion, Halil, Hassan, Hulya and her daughter doing fabulous work from breakfast through to evening drinks ALL covid safe with masks, daily temperature check... all in an unobtrusive manner. Breakfast is a treat on a plate Thank you all, see you next year (🤞🤞🤞)

So sad to leave today! We spent a too-short honeymoon with Marion, Khalil, Hasan, and the wonderful staff at Courtyard and could not have felt more welcome and comfortable. It is so rare to find small B&Bs that take the time to get to know their guests by name and take a personal interest in ensuring comfort and enjoyment. The rooms are gorgeously refurbished and the courtyard between them the most tranquil and serene place in all of Kalkan. The breakfast was top notch and drinks on the terrace, or with other guests in the courtyard, were wonderful after a long day on the beach. We will be back as soon as possible!

We were lucky enough to spend two wonderful nights here on our latest trip to Kalkan. Marion & Halil are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble & they are great company. The accommodation itself is great, spacious & luxurious. Beautifully restored Old Kalkan houses, with lots of original features, set around an oasis of a Courtyard. Breakfast was served in the Courtyard & was delicious. Location is perfect for exploring the delights of Old town Kalkan, with everything a short stroll away. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, the perfect place to stay in Kalkan & I can’t wait to return.

We hadn’t planned to stay here initially but as we were let down by another hotel we had to quickly find new accommodation for the New Year period and came across this one on Booking.com . - they came to our rescue , and weren’t we glad that they did! The location was perfect for what was open in the town over Christmas and New Year and the hotel itself is charming. The rooms are beautifully decorated and are super cosy for those chilly December/January evenings . Marion and Halil are the perfect hosts , welcoming us with open arms (and wine ! ) They are both super friendly , easy to talk to and nothing is too much trouble - they want you to be happy and enjoy your time with them. Hülya gave us a wonderful breakfast each morning of fruit, yoghurt , honey , bread olives cheese and eggs - delicious and lots of it and I felt bad for not being able to eat it all ! She also did a great job in keeping our room spotlessly clean and tidy . We really enjoyed our week here with them all , including their gorgeous doggies , and felt as though we’d arrived as strangers but left feeling like we were part of the family. We’ve been coming to Kalkan for years and never knew of this hotel - we usually stay on Kalamar Road, but the hotel wasn’t open out of season - but now that we have met Marion and Halil we will definitely be back to see them in the summer and have a drink on their beautiful terrace overlooking a fabulous view of the bay. Thank you all once again for your wonderful hospitality and see you soon xx
