We had a room overlooking the car park (an amazing experience on its own). The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom though was a bit of a challenge. Shower was very small. The staff were exceptional. They went out of their way to help us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. We will always remember their kindness.

Look this place is great if you know what you are getting. It is clean, the location could not be better (right in centre, near everything), the view is lovely, the staff are REALLY lovely, it does a decent Turkish breakfast, and is good for a stopover. For those for whom these things matter - there is a bar right... More

As far as I heard, Ayvalik Palas is the first "contemporary hotel" opened many years ago. We stayed only one night on last January after a short trip to Mytilene. In fact there are lots of luxury hotels in the area those newly constructed or transformed from historical Ayvalik houses but most of them were closed in winter. What we... More

Stayed two nights here. The room was a decent size. We had a room fronting the otopark and looking out onto the sea, the beds were comfortable. However the room is in need of a refurb. Carpets are not clean and quite dirty. Bathroom is small and really needed a good clean and renovation. Our sheets, garbage bin was not... More

Location is great. BUT, carpets and curtains are old and not clean. Bathroom is also poor and things are old. There is not even shampoo. Sheets are OK. In general the hotel gives an impression of dirtiness and bad quality. If I visit Ayvalik again, I would not stay.

You'd pay a LOT more to have this terrific breakfast-terrace view most places; we spent a while sitting out there just because it was so nice. The room could certainly, almost desperately, use some updating- and repair-attention. . . but it was functional and clean. The staff was very helpful and nice.

If you go to Ayvalik stay away from this terrible hotel. Everything is old and dirty. The room smells, the carpet looks like hundereds of years old and you don't have hot water in the bathroom. Most of the mounts in the bathroom are in the cupboard and not at the wall. However, the bedsheets looks clean. At least one... More

I like the Ayvalik Palas. I have stayed there a few times and found it good value for the money. The breakfast was a typical Turkish one and fine. It is served on the top floor so you can have a good sea view with your breakfast. The rooms are clean and modern but I didn't spend much time in... More

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, some rooms with seawiew and there is also a car park in front of it as parking is a big problem in the tiny streets of Ayvalik. Room amenities and breakfast is average, nothing more or less. One more important advice: if you ever stay in this hotel just keep... More
