We loved every single thing about this place. When our original fight got cancelled and we were scrambling to figure out pickup from a completely different airport, Kelebek was so helpful and made sure someone was ready to pick us up with almost no notice. When we arrived, Ali upgraded us from a standard room to the most gorgeous fairy chimney room free of charge - just because it was available. They had every amenity you could think of and more, including the most extensive and delicious breakfast buffet we had ever seen with a gorgeous view from the terrace and that’s already included in the price. They also offered laundry services for hostal prices and supplied free, unlimited apple tea and postcards for us to write our families and even offered to mail them for us for just the price of the postage. They had a perfect view of the valley for the balloons and were in just a 7ish minute walk to the center of town. We absolutely could not recommend this place more — I can’t imagine there is a single better hotel in Göreme, it’s purely magical.

I have nothing but good things to say about this places. In fact i didn’t even look it up before showing up to check in. I booked my balloon flight with Turquaz balloons and they arranged for me to stay Kelebek for a night. I had such a great time, i ended up extending my stay another 2 days. I stayed in 2 different rooms on my 3 nights there, the first one was room 204, had a balcony with the bedroom on the first floor and the bathroom at the ground. The second room was right across from the hammam, all on one floor and included a fireplace (which was needed cause the temperature was consistently below freezing throughout my stay.) The hotel area was great, with a bunch of different terraces showcasing almost a panoramic view of the area. There’s a bunch of 4 legged guests that live on the grounds that’ll keep you company while you explore. The restaurant kitchen for the hotel was closed due to COVID-19 but was open for breakfast. The dining area was open 24/7, including the bar and they’d happily order food in for you from the neighboring hotel restaurant. The hammam experience was phenomenal, get package # 2 while you’re there, slightly pricey but you get the whole place to yourself so it’s worth it. The staff at this hotel are absolutely fantastic, kudos to all of them for making my stay here a great one.

Some things to note:
COVID-19 :- temperature taken at check in, health form, mask + sanitizer provided in room and masks available at the front desk.
To access the WiFi at the hotel you need to enter in your passport number, im not sure how secure that is. But that was the way to do it. The WiFi at the hotel was deplorable, so if you’re trying to work here remotely or take classes, i wouldn’t recommend it. My local turkcell sim was providing me reasonable LTE speeds off 97 mbps down whereas the WiFi was around 5 mbps.
The hotel arranged for my (private) transport to and from Kayseri airport, it costs way way too much (for a solo traveler) and it’s billed in euros so I’d recommend getting a shared transport to the airport.
Fly with Turquaz balloons.
Sister hotel to Sultan Cave Suites and they’re connected, so you can easily walk on over (multiple steps) for your sunrise photoshoot with the balloons in the back.

Honestly terrible, thought it was going to be amazing based on all the recent reviews. The staff are either amazing or just don’t care and you can really tell in the service. The tours were not clearly explained to us and they didn’t mention they offer a free tour until our last day. Breakfast was as expected but nothing to brag about especially if you don’t like eggs as the only hot breakfast they offer is eggs cooked differently. Our room closets floor was dirty and covered in tiny rocks and the shower soaks the bathroom floor every time because of how powerful it was (which we appreciate however not functional).
We mainly booked this hotel as it has a pool however the pool temperature is absolutely freezing! Super super cold we was surprised no one mentioned it in any of the reviews, we thought it must have been a bad day but we stayed here a couple days and it was the same every day. Also there is about 10-12 sun loungers by the pool side. As we were by the pool one day we had a do not disturb sign on our door (as our room was a tip and didn’t really want anyone seeing it) when we got back we noticed the bed and the bathroom had been cleaned with the sign still on the door. Do not disturb means do not disturb, we could have been showering with the bathroom door wide open or even sleeping. Don’t get me wrong the cleaning service was great, it just made me feel uncomfortable and a bit worried as I didn’t want people coming in while I was taking a nap. The mini fridge is empty and will stay empty your entire visit, you only receive 2 warm bottles of water and a bottle of dry red wine, you also receive some nuts. There is no room service as they say they find it hard to get rid of the smell (Which is fair enough however all the other hotels in the area manage to clean their cave rooms to a much higher standard.)
The wifi is ok, very hard to connect to most of the time but it does well when you take into account the rock walls are very thick.

Overall very disappointed with our trip, there are much better hotels in this area with excellent views from your rooms and staff service for the same price. I would not come back here again and would not recommend to anyone

We stayed 3 nights here during our leg in Cappadocia and was very well taken care of by the staff here. We were upgraded to a fairy chimney room which was very clean and spacious. I guess regardless which cave room you are in, you will get a very unique accommodation experience here. When we arrived, we were brought around the area to orientate us the breakfast area, lookout spots for sunrise and sunset, best look out point at the nearby Sultan Cave hotel (which is their sister hotel) that you go through the hotel grounds. There's much to explore here and get different views of cappadocia at different corners of the hotel grounds. Wifi is not that strong the some part of the hotel but who cares when you have such an amazing environment here.

The hospitality of the hotel is impeccable by serving free chay, coffee and light snacks free of charge 24/7 at their restaurant so you could enjoy the view at any time of the day. And their 2 dogs running around with friendly greetings to every guests. We are also very grateful for the efficient arrangements of our activities by the staff that allowed us to enjoy cappadocia so much. This is especially so when our hot air balloon flights were cancelled day after day due to bad weather. They kept assuring us that they will keep on trying to book for us as long as we here. Finally, we could fly on our last day at cappadocia and have assured us with smooth arrangements to catch our flight out. I can safely say that you are in good hands if you have not planned anything at cappadocia, just reach out to the reception and i believe they will help you arrange the most optimal options according to your request. Furthermore, the location is just minutes walk away to the city centre if you wanna check out more restaurants and shopping.

Highly recommend for anybody coming to cappadocia and will stay again if i come back here.

Me and my boyfriend visited Capadoccia from 22-24 of February 2021. We were a bit anxious about traveling with all the restrictions that were in place, but we ended up having a lovely time! We received a very warm welcome from Seda, as it was my birthday she arranged for a complimentary bottle of wine upon our arrival. We were also granted an early check in, all of our requests were promptly attended to. Due to government restrictions all the restaurants in city are closed for dine-in and only accepting take away which was fine because the hotel restaurant is excellent, we had the best meals we had in turkey in that restaurant, make sure you try the tahine souffle, it's to die for! The restaurant staff is exceptional, we couldn't be more satisfied. With that said I'd have to mention that the breakfast was not that great (maybe for covid related reasons) it's a settled selection of cold cuts, bread and spreads. We would much rather have a menu to choose from, they offer filtered coffee which we were not quite happy about it, since we are paying an extra for the breakfast a good cup of coffee should definitely be included. Our room was exceptional, the fireplace made it really cozy, and we were offered an extra heater. Bed was extremely comfortable and we had a few really good baths. Nevertheless i must say we chose the room with the Jacuzzi for the chance of using it, so we were quite disappointed when we were informed upon arrival that it was not working, I mean, that's something you must let us know beforehand, or mention it at the moment we book the room, it's a bit poor that we have to pay for something we can't use. Overall it was a lovely stay, and we would definitely recommend Kekebek for anyone visiting the beautiful Capadoccia!

Highly recommended hotel, perfectly located on a top of a hill in cappadocia offering a magnificent view. Original plan was to stay for 2 nights but we ended by staying 4 nights. Despite the lockdown the area still amazing to visit. The hotel takes very good health & safety measures.

We booked a suite and we had a beautiful terrace overlooking the mountains and the village, it is really worth it to upgrade and experience the dawn and sunset from the room.

Breakfast was excellent, authentic cuisine village style with wide verity, a set menu service style but they will replinsh whatever you like. Hotel & rooms are clean and very stylish. All personnel are very friendly and professional offering quick service whenever we asked for something.

Due to the lockdown all restaurants do delivery and take away only so the hotel offers you free plates & cuteleries if you order food from outside, this is a very appreciated gesture.

We stayed 2nights at the Kelebek.
We arrived early in the morning about 9.30am. The room was not ready so they offered us complimentary breakfast while waiting for the room to be cleaned. How nice!
Shortly after, we were informed that our junior cave suite has been upgraded to a bigger cave suite with aircon and a terrace overlooking the fairy chimneys. Wow!!
We didn't want to leave the Kelebek.

The bed was comfy. Bedroom slippers were provided. Shower was good. There was even a heated rack in the bathroom which we could put our clothes or towels to warm it up. It was fantastic to have that esp in the cold weather.

Breakfast was very good. There was a variety of olives, cheeses, jams, breads and salads. There was also freshly cooked eggs which you can order.
The breakfast staff are very kind and welcoming. It's great to feel the positive energy early in the morning. They also treat the animals, the resident dogs and cats, with so much love.

The reception staff was also very kind and gave us directions to the nearby shops and restaurants. Getting around the hotel is a mini exploration in itself as there are walkways and staircases to navigate.

The hotel location is good, about 5-10mins to many restaurants and shops.

We booked through Turkish Heritage Travel, which I understand from reading the reviews on TA, is related to the Kelebek and Butterfly Balloons. It's a pity we didn't get to do the balloon ride in the end due to adverse weather. However, we left with fond memories of our stay at the Kelebek.

We stayed here for three nights, as we explored the Cappadoyka valley. Kelebeck and Sultan Cave Suites are sister hotels, and the property size gives a lot of options to spread out or get a corner to yourself. I am not sure which one is better, as both are amazing. However, Kelebeck seemed to have less people, which was great. We stayed in Room 17, which is a cave room with a sizeable balcony. There is an on-site Hammam which can be booked privately, and you can go in as a couple. It's 100 Euro's a person, which is expensive compared to traditional hammams in Turkey, but worth it if you want to be in there with your wife for 90 minutes. Breakfast quality was good, but some of the items were cold that shouldn't have been served cold (french fries, pancakes, sauteed veg, etc). The service from the reception was some of the best we had in Turkey, and we were routinely addressed by our first names in a very friendly manner. We also booked the ballon ride through these guys with Turquaz for 100 Euro/person, and it was excellent.

Overall, this hotel was pace setting for the luxury hotels we visted in Turkey. The only downside was that room 17 is above the Hammam, and it never really cools down (like a pizza oven a bit). Even with with the window open in November, we struggled to get it below 20C.

Highly recommended, and was totally worth the money.

My husband and I stayed at Kelebek for 3 nights in March 2020 and I left wishing we had booked a few additional evenings! Kelebek is located at a higher altitude relative to the main part of town, which makes it a great spot for admiring the valleys and fairy chimneys sprinkled around the area. The staff was attentive and kind and always took time to welcome us back when we got back from our tours each day. We stayed in a cave room and it was an unreal experience - highly recommend booking one of these rooms if you can!
