On the positive side, the hotel is very central, and not expensive. The staff were polite and as helpful as they could be given my non-existent Turkish and their limited English On the negative side, the hotel must have had a modernisation a few years ago, clearly done on the cheap, because it is cracking up. It calls itself "boutique hotel" but this is not justified.. For example the plate on the push flush in the toilet was coming loose and the shower stall had about ten different electronic settings but only the normal one seemed to work. Our room smelt of cigarette smoke, but maybe I could have requested a non-smoking room. The room safe was not fixed to anything so could have just been removed by a strong thief and broken into elsewhere (anyway there were no instructions in Turkish or English about how to use it!). ..
