I was lucky enough to wake up at this charming boutique cave hotel on the first morning of 2022. Set in the picturesque unspoiled village of Ortahisar, Elaa Cave hotel is tiny, immaculate and exquisitely decorated, with a special focus on local antiques and authentic Turkish rugs. I can’t speak highly enough about the delightful, friendly and kind staff. The calm and cosy cave arch room was the perfect counterpoint to the evening’s celebrations. After a sound sleep in the very comfortable bed, and a delicious made-to -order breakfast, 2022 looked very positive indeed.
This hotel is absolutely lovely. The owners, Ruth and Cemal are very hospitable, and together with their team will ensure you have a lovely stay in their beautiful cave hotel. Each room individually decorated with trukish antiques. The beds are comfy and you have a coffee and tea making facility for when you want to have your cuppa tea. The breakfast is lush and typically Turkish, which in my opinion is one of the best breakfasts in the world. You have an amazing view from the roof terrace over ortahisar. If you are looking for a quiet get-away in Cappadocia, then Ella cave is the best place to go.
Amazing hotel for a short stay. The room is clean and tidy. Generous and presentable breakfast. The hotel is walking distance to the centre. The Turkish lady at the reception was so friendly and supportive. Highly recommended.
I have to say this was a hidden gem in Ortahisar within Cappadocia. The rooms were very rustic and authentic for a true Cappadocia experience. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about what we should explore in the area. I truly appreciated their dedication in being a concierge and arranging for activities while ensuring that we enjoyed ourselves. The views from the rooftop are stunning in the daylight and evening. The breakfast was very Turkish and yummylicious.
The hotel and rooms are so beautifully decorated. The breakfast is big and the biggest highlight is the warm and welcoming host. She was always there when we needed something and always with a smile. :)
We stayed there for 10 days and can only talk positively about it. Well located, very sympathetic owners, very clean. I recommend it! Owners also own a horse farm which was our best experience on our entire trip
This is a lovely little hotel, and run by delightful, friendly and very helpful people. Our room was clean warm and very cosy in the cave (which is what I really wanted). There were lovely calm places to sit outside and we were looked after so well by Najila (?) Our breakfasts were terrific and the gozleme were delicious. Najila was so helpful in arranging transport for us to be able to go further to see sights, and Cemal's horse ranch was a walk away, and he welcomed us when we arrived late and helped with the Wifi.
We stay 1 night Here is my review for the hotel Location: around Ortahisar Town and close to Ortahisar Kalesi. We go by car to this hotel, so I can not give information on how to reach the hotel from bus station or other public transportation You may walk around the hotel to Ortahisartown. Nice small village. The hotel surround is quite, especially in the night which I like that. We can go early in the morning by car to Goreme area like Red Valley, to take beatiful photograph of the ballon raised are go back to the hotel for a warm breakfast and a cup or two cups of tea / coffee Our first impression when we stepped inside the cave hotel and room , we found that this is a stylish hotel. I love it. Room We had - 1 double bed room with size approx 3x3m2. Sufficient to put 1 large and 1 cabin size lugages - Inside bathroom and it was clean. - Clean linen, white towel - There are refreshement provided in the room - The hotel does not have lift, however, luckyli we had the room at groudfloor area The breakfast are awesome. Turkish typical breakfast. Freshly made. Delish. Meet my taste. The breakfast area have beautiful scenery. Hotel services - the hotel receptionist was not stand by for 24 hours (it says that due the hotel running by family business). However they provide a contact number in receptionist desk if you happen to come at the time of no receptionist stand by. - The hotel staff very helpful and warm, eventough they speak limited english. …
Our stay at Elaa, a delightful, little boutique hotel in the tiny village of Ortahisar, was wonderful. We had stayed previously and loved it so much, we didn't need to look elsewhere when we returned to the Cappadocia region of Turkey. This little hotel is like a home away from home. It is family owned and operated and you are welcomed as though you too, are family. The cave rooms at Elaa are all different, with comfortable king size beds and ensuites. I love the antiques, carpets and other decorative items that make this hotel so unique. Breakfast is provided and quite lavishly Turkish, with the addition of delicious omelettes or gozleme if you wish. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you'd like to stay in an authentic cave hotel in a village still untouched by tourism, this is the place.…
This boutique cave hotel is a gem, each room is unique, equipped with all the mod cons you would want, a real 5* experience. The breakfast is amazing. Ruth and her team really look after you. Thank you
