Cave Konak's central location, just one minute from the main square, is so handy for shops, restaurants, cafes and ATMs. Tours, balloon flights and airport transfers pick up at our door. Our terrace with its spectacular views of Cappadocia's main rock castle and ancient cave dwellings is a cool place to start the day with our open buffet breakfast and relax in the evening with your family/friends. Our historical cave, arched and stone rooms with modern facilities maintain a traditional feel. Urgup with its excellent transportation links is a small friendly town that is comfortable with tourism but not dominated by it; authentic rather than touristic. Cappadocia is not a single place but a collection of small villages and towns, and with the many sights and activities we suggest you need a minimum of 2 full days to see the region.

Cave Konak Hotel is a gem among accommodations, a truly unique Cave Hotel that transports you to another era. As soon as you step in, you'll notice that the property is exceptionally well-maintained, preserving the historical essence with care. The moment you arrive, you can't help but be captivated by the atmosphere that exudes a wonderful historical feeling, like stepping into a time machine. The hotel's setting is perfect for those seeking relaxation and tranquility. With the stunning sunset as your backdrop, you can't help but feel at ease. The hotel seems custom-made for unwinding, and it's the ideal spot to just chill and let your worries melt away.

Don't go if your knees hurt. There is a steep climb to the entrance. But the staff is helpful. You need to navigate a lot of stairs if you are staying here. The rooms are massive. However the lighting is poor. They should use a dimmer so one can see what's in their luggage at least! Funny thing is they don't provide anything to stir your tea or coffee. The breakfast is just too good. Wifi is good. Very nice restaurants around for having your dinner. The town center is also very close.

Cave Konak Hotel is a very clean, well maintained hotel, steps away from lovely restaurants and souvenier shops. After a tiring journey with delayed flights at every stage, we arrived in Cappadocia at 3.00 am. It was a pleasant surprise to come out of the airport and find Adnan, the co-owner of the hotel, personally waiting for us. We did not have the cave room and had the suite instead which was quite lovely. The care and attention that Adnan, his co-owner, Colleen, and their staff (especially Hashim) put into the hotel clearly shows through. The personal attention to detail, the homemade jams for breakfast, the recommendations for local restaurants and the suggestions for what activities to do; it was all much appreciated. There's only one reason why I gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 and that is Colleen. I'm hoping that Colleen is open to some constructive criticism. She's the classic example of someone who is penny wise and pound foolish. The fact that she asked for payment for a bottle of water we'd used from the minibar left a sour taste at the end of our stay at Cave Konak Hotel. When we could buy a pack of 6 two liter bottles of water at less than $2 at the local convenience store, it seemed petty for Colleen to ask us to pay for a bottle of water! Especially given that in all our travels, we've never come across a hotel where a complimentary bottle of water is not provided in the rooms. All the good vibes Colleen had built with us in the previous 3 days went down the drain at that point. To be brutally honest, if it wasn't for Adnan, I'd have rated Cave Konak 3 stars just because of that one incident. People will forget what you said or did but will never forget how you made them feel! And the feeling Colleen left us with as we were driving off to the airport was not a nice one. The hot-air balloon ride is a definite must. I'd do that again in a heartbeat. We thoroughly enjoyed the Green Tour in Cappadocia. I wouldn't recommend the Red Tour though as it just involved being bussed from one valley to another to see rock formations, with marketing stops in between at a leather showroom and a ceramic/pottery store (maybe it was just our luck with the tour guide we had for the day as he seemed rather uninterested and sounded like he was just regurgitating information that we'd already read online). The sunset ATV Tour was great fun and I would recommend it. However, we had an extremely scary experience when the brakes failed on the quad bike my wife was riding and the only way she could bring it to a stop was by ramming into another quad bike. It was either that or going over the cliff! The equipment was obviously not well maintained and we had the added difficulty of the operator/guide not being conversant in English. Maybe we should have done our own research and booked the tours ourselves rather than rely on Cave Konak Hotel to do it for us. To summarize, Cave Konak is an wonderful hotel. Just don't drink the water from the minibar (LOL). For the activities, I'd recommend doing your own research and booking these yourself rather than going with the ones booked by the hotel. Adnan - our very best wishes to you and your family. Hope to see you again soon.

This hotel is wonderful, it is situated a hop skip and a jump from all the bars restaurants and shops It's very clean and very very comfortable my room has two balconies and a large bed where I can sleep like a starfish. Breakfast is included and it consists of among other things delicious homemade jams and a lovely homemade cake. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The owner arranged a fantastic guide and driver who took us for the day to see all the major sites and some hidden gems which I will review separately Before I forget there's a laundry and ironing service which comes in very handy if you're not looking forward to doing that when you get home

A quaint and comfortable hotel. We chose a cave hotel to experience this unusual and unique accommodation. It was indeed a lovely experience. Our host Adnan and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Adnan advised us on tours and the best places to visit in Cappadocia. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was traditional Turkish fare, and afforded us the opportunity to sample local dishes.Views from the hotel balcony were spectacular. Enjoyed our two night stay at Cave Konak hotel.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for three days in August. If you are looking for a hotel that will make you feel more at home and has a reasonable price, this is a good option, you can definitely make better choices in Gorme with a higher cost. The hotel is clean, the employees and the owner of the hotel are friendly, the breakfast has little variety, but in general it is suitable, and in terms of location, it is close to the city center, restaurants and travel tour companies.

Dear friend Thank you so much for your beautiful comments. we would of course appriciate a 5 star comment because 3 star really is a factor in lowering our reputation. We would definitely take any criticism into consideration. We would love to welcome you at our hotel again. Wonderful meeting you and we wish you the best.

Incredible hotel, you are either in a 12th century room or one of the pre-Christian cave rooms which are the most unique place and other worldly. On top of that you have great personalised hospitality from the owner Colleen. Excellent and hugely knowledgeable tours provided by the Adnan, I highly recommend.
