Apprehensive as ive never been to Turkey before but i neednt have any qualms as Jiva beach resort was fantastic. We went at the beginning of november for 2 weeks , the weather was fantastic, not overbearing heat but great for shorts and t-shirt and didn't come close to raining . The hotel was spotless, staff were polite and really worked hard to make our stay something special. Food was unbelievably good with a huge array of fresh food for breakfast ,lunch and dinner served at the main restaurant.Plus the two 'snack bars' which also offered some really tasty burgers, salads and wraps. Not forgetting the 24hour bar offering soup, sandwiches and a dazzling array of desserts. There are 3 al a carte restaurants also which you need to book on arrival, these were top notch too. The drinks were free flowing and all to easy to indulge at the 6 different bars offering 2 lagers ,a superb cocktail list as well as wines and spirits. The room (attic room facing the pool) was air conditioned, bed very comfy, shower was great, terrace to sit and chill (or not as it was a sun trap 😎) a small fridge which was restocked daily . The room was cleaned daily and special decorations left for when we arrived and for the wife's birthday which were lovely and really appreciated. The beach was right there with lots of sunbeds, a bar and a 'snack bar'. The sea was clean and lovely to swim in. There was an independent firm offering different water sports although these were quite pricey in my mind. There is a gym, sauna, steam room and relaxation pool with spa and massage on offer. As well as the main pool there is a pool with water slides and a smaller pool. There are fun activities through the day from water aerobics class to darts, fun for all adults and kids to join in. On a night there is entertainment either live acts such as a gymnastics team ,bands and solo vocalists. All the staff from the cleaners to the manager were super friendly and very accommodating. If you fancy going out a 15minute walk up the coast is calis and from there a water taxi to fethiye. Regular buses and taxis are also available. Without doubt this was one of our best ever holidays and will return. Thank you Jiva beach.

Just back from an enjoyable week at The Jiva with my wife. First time in the Calis area as well. Arrived late at night and first impressions were positive, straight forward check in and helped with cases up to our room. Soup and filled rolls available in the all night bar for us. Rooms - really good standard, cleaned and fresh towels provided each day. Water, soft drinks and beer in the mini bar. Toiletries and hairdryer in the bathroom. Small balcony but really nice view from it. No issues with the rooms at all. Food - We ate mainly in the main restaurant and I have to say the food was among the best I've tasted in 20 years of visiting Turkey, All fresh, great choice and various themes as well. We did however find the restaurant very noisy, the continual dragging of heavy wooden chairs over the marble floor was overwhelming. Slight issue with the coffee machines in that the temperature was set to low, we found it difficult finding a warm coffee. The staff were excellent and very helpful and plenty of them. The pool snack bar is also worth a visit for lunch with an excellent and varied menu as was the beach bar. Entertainment - this was excellent, full activity programme during the day and a mixture of shows and live music each evening between 2130 - 2300. Pools - 3 pools in total. The 2 smaller ones are cold and the main pool is heated. We found this hotel extremely busy with the main pool being almost overused (not much space at all). It was school holidays so may be better out with that. The pool with he slides was just above freezing point but very refreshing once you were in. Sunbeds are a premium. The 2 small pools have padded beds which were all gone by 0730 and the beds around the main pool were away by about 0700 so be prepared to get up early. Lots of beds at the beach and towels are provided with a towel card. Calis is close by around a 15 minute walk with a lovely promenade with lots of bars and shops. Sports bars available there for football. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel, it is spotless throughout and very well maintained however it was busy and there is a constant noise, lots of loud guests making their way back to rooms in the early hours.

My friend and I are just at the airport returning home after 4 nights at Jiva Beach Resort. Check in was relatively quick as there was only one other couple who arrived at the same time. I did feel that we weren’t provided with much information about the hotel at this point, The bellboy kindly helped us with our bags to the room. We stayed in room 730, an attic room. First impressions of the room weren’t great to be honest and my immediate thought was that it was the worst Turkish hotel I have visited. The room was extremely dark and SO HOT! I would strongly recommend to the hotel that they ensure the air con is switched on ready for guests arrival so their rooms are cool when they enter. It took a good few hours to get the temperature down and it was very uncomfortable. I appreciate they are controlled through the room key but suggest a key is left in until the guests arrive and this can be removed by the bell boy and replaced with the guests own key. When guests are staying as part of a package holiday you know roughly when to expect them so this suggestion should be manageable.
The minibar in the room was restocked every day with still and sparkling water, beer, Fanta, coke and Coke Zero and the room was always cleaned well.
The general lighting in the room is poor. Spotlights are definitely needed in the ceiling and more sockets are needed next to the bed. We had to unplug the bedside lamps to be able to plug in our phone chargers. These are just really simple things that should be standard in a 5 star hotel and make all the difference to your guests.
I would highly recommend hiring a cabana on the beach. The price varies depending on the time of year but is currently €90. It included a lovely platter of fresh fruit, nuts, a bottle of prosecco, or wine if preferred, lunch, and a private waiter who was on hand to provide drinks. I believe the waiter was Orsen (so sorry if that is wrong). He was wonderful. Great company, and looked after us so well. We decided to hire it for a 2nd day as a result. The breeze from the sea makes so much difference too!
The beach is stone and shingle and the sea was choppy but with a lifeguard present. The beach bar is nice and the female singers on Friday evening were exceptional.
The whole hotel, pool, restaurant, bars etc were very clean.
I would note, whilst there are a number of bars available, none of the outside bars have their own toilets so often need to go on a wild goose chase to find a loo in the evening with the staff not seemingly knowing where the nearest toilets are either.
On the whole, a really lovely few days. I’m not sure I would revisit but I also don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you book it. If those few improvements are made it would make so much difference to the overall experience.

Well, what can you say about this place - heaven! Climate, sea close, staff at the top. The chef is God. Especially in terms of confectionery (many here can take it as a downside, because in weight there gained, as the first time there last year, in two weeks more than in six months training dropped. Cleaning staff should really leave a tip - then, among other things, they overwhelm you with pleasant surprises in the form of origami made of towels (it must be admitted, it is true that last year not every day changed linen without tips). Preferably, it was a good knowledge of English - what I felt when I went to the restaurant - there and the waiters did not understand each other and we ended up leaving without eating there. The reason was no longer the language barrier, but that, given their free kitchen, going to the restaurant was not entirely advisable (especially considering the restaurant's cheap wine card and the availability of free alcohol in regular bars). The contingent, compared to the Russians, is up to scratch. There are few Russians, most foreigners - as a result, there are benevolent, smiling faces around you who don't care about your views, moods, clothes, etc. The exceptions are the "brotherly" Iranians, who go everywhere in all weathers with their wives wrapped head to toe and hating everyone around them (not just Jews, as one would think) - especially bad when you have a room next to them. Thank you to Russian-speaking Samira - helped me check in early (albeit for thanking you), given that I had a wishful mother. Special thanks to the entertainer (the one with the long hair - he, like the chef, is the god of his business, as opposed to his occasional substitute). In short, I'd like to be there for the third time.

If you have booked this hotel you will not be disappointed, it is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location. We booked the attic room and it was beautiful and big enough for two people however I like to sit on the balcony in the morning with a nice cup of tea and take in the surroundings but with the attic room you can only see the magnificent view if you stand as the wall is quite high. However for the amount of time you are in the room it didn't matter to us. The maid we had was fantastic and everyday we came back to a clean room with a fantastic design of towels with fresh flowers. The sun beds are so comfortable next to the quieter pools. We are early birds so we would get up around 7.30 to take our towels down and there was already at this time quite a few towels down but plenty of availability for sun beds at the activity pool. We paid for the Jiva package at the spa and although it was beautiful the massage was quite hard and not very relaxing but some people like massages like that but I wish now I had of said beforehand that I wanted a gentle massage. The entertainment was the best entertainment we have ever had at any hotels absolutely top quality. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing always freely available and never had to queue long for drinks. The branded drinks are very strong and I did feel a little delicate some mornings 😄. Chalis is a stunning place and the promenade is great for you to break the day up and have a nice walk out of the hotel. We also walked to fethiye a couple of times (around 4 miles each way) which was lovely. There is a lot of homeless dogs and if you are nervous of dogs it may put you off as they are everywhere along the promenade but they are well looked after by the various restaurant owners. The hotel beach party is a must! It is such a great atmosphere. We used Mehmets taxi to take us to babadag cable cars. We would highly recommend this taxi service the lady drove so sensible (which is a rarity in Turkey 😀) and got us there safe she then picked us up from Hisaranu as we went there after Babadag to do some shopping and eat out. We messaged her when we were ready to be picked up and told her the location we were at. The staff at Jiva are so friendly and welcoming and would go out of there way to ensure you were well looked after. We joined the Facebook page unofficial Jiva beach and got some great ideas and recommendations which is how we found out about the taxi service. Overall a fantastic family holiday with some amazing treasured memories.

Where to start if your looking for a 5 star holiday then this isn't it... We arrived at 10am and were told we couldn't check in till after 2 so had to hang around in lobby area for over 4 hours in 37 degrees heat, your allowed to use all facilies but no one tells you what they are or where and not even allowed to use wifi till after you have a room allocation !! Room was OK but like others have stated in the family room you have to walk through the kids room to get to the door out and no door to the bathroom on the main bedroom which is very strange .room was cleaned daily but poor attention to detail made , we had a cobweb on the ceiling for the entire 10 days not cleaned ,the shower was faulty on arrival and had to tell reception to get fixed mini bar not restocked twice and tea making items not replaced either . Surly 5 star staff check and report these things. Beach/pools were nice but having to get up at before 7 every day to reserve a sunbed is not really a holiday especially when some are reserved but not used for 5-6 hours in the day, generally an issue at most hotels I've been too ,easy fix to employ a pool guy that doesn't take tips and adear to notices posted 🤔 Only ate in the main restaurant, stopped having breakfast day 3 as was poor quality unless u love just fruit, lunch/dinner was the same everyday so you end up eating the same thing all week again most 5 star places do themes each night for variation but not here. Also 3 of 4 of us was ill and had to stay in our room 24 hrs over the 2 week stay. Shows at night we're average the best was the Kenyan acrobatics show on our last night a worthy watch Thought the staging area used around round the pool area is too small and seating an issue at peak season Then to checkout , we had to pay 150 euros for 6 hours extra in our room or risk sweating to death on the last day with only the Luka lounge really bearable to site fully clothed which isn't the best finish to our trip away Overall nice hotel but not a 5 star at all and I won't be going back

Dear Stefan, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We would like to inform you that our check-in time is 2pm and we strive to assist our guests for early check-in in accordance with our availability. We provide room cleaning and mini bar renewal daily and check our rooms before our guests check in. We collect towels left on sunbeds before 7:30am and our team members constantly check sunbeds during the day. We make an effort to change our cuisine themes and mottos daily in our main restaurant. Also, we would like to inform you that our extra services are subject to a fee. However, your suggestions are unvaluable for us to improve our services and we will certainly convey them to the relevant departments. We hope to welcome you back here. Pros Beach bar and beach area for the hotel guests. The main buffet restaurant offers lots of choice (salad bar, dessert bar, plenty of hot dishes, fresh fruit) Several pools (one for activities, one for relaxing and one for children) Evening entertainment of a great standard- live bands/singers Free to use hammam in basement Fabulous massages in the spa (pay for these but discounted if between 9-11am) There are 3 a la carte restaurants (you can choose one if you’re staying 7 nights). We went to the Turkish option (if they seem to push you to buy bottles of wine off the menu, you don’t have to - they do have the all inclusive wine available by the glass)
Cons The evening entertainment can be very loud in the room depending where your room is located (our balcony faced the stage and even with the door closed it was still really loud in the room which I guess could be a problem if you’ve got children as it’s until 11pm). [Some nights seem to be special party nights and they are at the beach bar which we could hardly hear from the room]
Other thoughts: We seem to have been upgraded on arrival as we expected an attic room and were given a larger room lower in the building. The hotel seems to be designed and decorated to a good standard throughout. The layout around the pools and ponds is unusual and very attractive. You can see fish and turtles in the ponds.
We’ve had great weather - just one overcast day- but apparently this is lucky for November.
The main bit of Calis Beach is about fifteen minutes walk. The local bus service stops at the end of the road and is really cheap and easy (just hop on and tap your credit card on the scanner). You can get to Calis in 5 mins or Fethiye is a slightly further ride (maybe 20 minutes).
If any of your group are scared of dogs then this resort as a whole may not be for you. This area of Turkey has a lot of dogs roaming free. They all seem gentle and happy to be around people, most are neutered and vaccinated by the local govt so nothing to worry about but something to be aware of as they will be on the beach and paths etc

This was our third visit to Jiva on my partner's request as his mobility isn't very good and we wanted a familiar hotel. Overall it's still a fabulous hotel. The food is very plentiful and varied for even the fussiest of eaters. Loved the new edition of the beach bar with sunset vibes on certain evenings. Entertainment was again quite varied and good quality. The room was cleaned every day and some towel art was displayed which was a nice touch, plus balloons and cake for my birthday. We preferred to stay by the relax pool most days, but sadly once again with most hotels I was forced to get up earlier than I wanted (8am) in order to obtain a comfy sunbed near to all amenities as my partner can't walk great distances. We had a cabana on the beach for my birthday which was very peaceful and it was nice to have waiter service. The staff were all very helpful and attentive, especially the lovely girl by the relax pool and another in the main restaurant. We really want to return next year and enquired if we could specify a room to accommodate my partner with his mobility issues but it seems this isn't really possible, which makes me realize that Jiva Beach resort isn't very sympathetic towards disabled people which is very surprising as it's a 5 star establishment.

The facility was easy to reach due to its location. Due to the sea location, it was calm in the morning and wavy in the afternoon, but since we love the sea very much, it did not cause us any problems. Because the waves were not exaggeratedly large. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on this since we never went to the pool. Sun loungers were sufficient. It was a tidy hotel with food and beverage areas very close to each other. All the staff were very polite and friendly. Especially those working in food and beverage venues. This makes you even more comfortable. The service standard was high. One of the things I liked the most was that there was no towel card concept when going to the beach. You take as many towels as you want at the entrance of the beach and throw them in the dirty basket when you exit. The food was very good and there were many food options. The atmosphere and products of the patisserie were very good. The drinks were of good quality. The cleanliness of the room and general area was good. It was a hotel whose general areas were aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The customer base consisted mainly of British people. The night shows were nice. Me, my wife and my 10-year-old son were very satisfied with this holiday. We are thinking of coming to this hotel again. If you want to have a nice and quiet holiday without any problems, this hotel should be your choice.

We stayed at this hotel in April this year and was so well looked after by Yunus Karataria we decided to book another holiday. We arrived on the 12th September just as the buffet restaurant was closing for the night but Yunus greeted us so warmly and ensured we got something to eat very quickly before everything was cleared away. My husband is not great on his feet and at every breakfast Yunus got the 4 of us our orange juice and tea's & coffees and always made sure to look out for my husband to make sure he got down the stairs alright and carried his plate for him. At every meal time he always looked after us except one morning we walked in and he was not there to greet us. We were so disappointed and asked all the staff where he was. We found him he had been moved to another area for the morning. Yunus is not the only fantastic staff member here as all the staff are so nice polite and helpful and always laughing but he is the special one for us and the one that we came back to see. The first night we arrived we went to our rooms and were really disappointed with the rooms. We did go to reception to complain as we where on the ground floor in a triple room that was so narrow it was hard for my husband to walk about in it as he couldn't easily get past the end of the bed. We were told we could not be moved that night but to go back the next morning. The next day they moved us to great rooms overlooking the mountains and it made us start to relax and enjoy our holiday. We loved the sunset vibes on the beach at night it was a very welcome addition. We both had a Balinese massage and it was brilliant. We spent all day around the small pool with the lovely beds with the thick mattresses and the an that cleans that area and the toilets all day does the most fantastic job and tried to joke with us most days with very limited English. I really wish I had taken his name as he deserves so much praise. I have to say that it looks like this place will become addictive as we are already looking at returning. Please pass on our thanks to Yunus as he looked after us so well and made our holiday extra special.

I found when we were last there,2023, sterling was the best currency. Everywhere we went goods were priced in sterling and TL. We bought a few things and paid in sterling after a bit of bargaining. FYI a recent news report stated that Revolut cards were the most hacked in 2024 so be careful if using them. I personally never use any card wherever I go abroad because you sometimes get hidden costs and I don’t trust shop card machines. The exchange rates are normally a lot less than they should be so you think you get a bargain but don’t.
