Ada Julian Marmaris is frequently commended for its prime location near the beach and local attractions, with guests enjoying the easy access to dining and shopping options. While the rooms are generally celebrated for their cleanliness and space, some guests have raised concerns about comfort and noise. Despite the staff's friendliness, service inconsistencies have been noted. The hotel's atmosphere and value for money receive mixed reviews, with criticism aimed at the lack of entertainment and additional costs. Cleanliness across the hotel, however, is consistently acknowledged.

This hotel was great, came here for 8days, the staff were very friendly and would wait on you hand and foot if you asked them, the hotel was altogether very clean and the maids respected a do not disturb sign as we had this on most of the visit and the maids never even came near the room but the minute we changed it they cleaned it amazingly, the hotels entertainment was a man by the name of ‘funky’ who tried his very best to make sure people was having a good time and started games in the pool along with bingo and other activities. The pool is decently sized how ever there are not many sun beds so waking up early and getting a towel down is a must if you are not one for waiting for a bed to become free, the all inclusive bars have a good variety of alcoholic and none alcoholic drinks, the hotel is in an excellent location, being right across from a supermarket a bar and the beach, the centre is a 20 min walk up the beach where there is a bazaar and many other shops. One thing we did however find was that there is a free Wi-Fi that can only connect to one device from your group unless you pay for extra which cost us £30 which we didn’t mind paying, the use of the safe was also around the same price where you could set your own pin code. The food did not have the biggest variety in the world how ever you could most definitely always at least get enough the you liked no matter how picky of an eater you are. Altogether I would extremely recommend this hotel and would 100% stay again.

Vedat, Poppy, Gokhan, Serkhat and the young smiley girl in the restaurant were all amazing, so helpful and friendly and would go above and beyond to help those staying in the hotel.
Had the full package spa treatment with 11ish treatments thanks to the polite and lovely Vedat who was very informative.
Great Location literally walk out reception turn right and about 60metres to the main sea front, harbour walk (left to Marmaris town and Marina and right from seafront to icmeler)
Hotel clean and tidy we had an issues with bathroom and as a result was upgraded to a bigger room (which made our stay a bit comfortable.
Plenty of staff around the hotel
Adult only hotel which was great only suggestion is to have sone kind of evening entertainment (ie a bit of music) as lounge area was relatively quite as people didn't know what to do.

Stayed here for the first time after many visits to Marmaris, the hotel itself is lovely and the waiting/bar staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you, the food was ok but for someone who cannot eat spicy food choice was sometimes limited and the food was only ever lukewarm needs to be hotter and the plates although in the warmers were always cold.

Our cleaner only ever did the bare minimum and a couple of times we had to ask for toilet rolls, towels etc which was disappointing.

We paid to upgrade to a deluxe room for our anniversary but were not advised that they overlook the noisy Irish Bar so getting to sleep before midnight was impossible could of moved room but with no refund for the upgrade.

The biggest issue at this hotel is the sunbeds, by 7am every sunbed is taken so to stand any chance of getting one you have to be down there by 6.30am which in itself is not a problem but you have to stay with them until at least 8am as staff come round and remove any unattended towels, the hotel has 110 rooms with 2 people per room and only 60 sunbeds no where enough staff said it was a COVID issue but our friends had stayed there in 2019 and 2020 and the sunbed issue was exactly the same.

Overall a nice hotel but would not stay again because of the sunbed situation.

We would normally use TUI for our holidays and had previously stayed in Marmaris at another hotel but this was fully booked so we booked The Julian with Jet2. The hotel is presented very well, however it’s presentation is the only thing positive.

Let’s start with reception, SMILE would be good. There was a young lady with an Irish accent that needs to learn how to smile when welcoming people.

Then on to the pool, it’s lovely and clean but they close it at 19:00 (7pm!!!) and the outside bar closes at 18:00 yes, 6pm!!! where you then need to move to the inside bar and small front area, for an all exclusive hotel this is not what you’d expect. They have signs up stating the guests cannot leave towels reserving sun beds before 8am but yet each morning people were down at 6am onwards doing this which by 8am you’d have no chance of getting anything.

The food, we ended up eating out, the food times are ridiculous, the dinner starts at 7pm? It was repetitive same food which was bland, uninspiring and quite frankly disgusting. A few of us were chatting and we all said it was like it was done deliberately to make you want to go out.

Rooms are ok, however be careful that when you’re not around you may find you’ve been checked out! This didn’t happen to us personally but another couple that were on the same floor as us had this happen to them whilst they had been out for the day. Literally had been locked out and their key card switched off etc.

Wi-Fi — When we booked this holiday through Jet2 we were told it came with free Wi-Fi however it does not and you have to pay £30 PER person. The safe also costs £30

Entertainment - There is none, not a single thing, not even a simple pool table. Perfect if you’re looking for a hotel with nothing going on. This is NOT what we were looking for.

We certainly would not recommend this hotel will not return to this one.

We arrived at the hotel early hours in the morning, the young man that checked us in was great and the process was simple and no stress for that time in the morning after a long day of travelling.

As soon as we got to our room I noticed in the bedside table, were the previous guests medication, wrappers and other bits of food that had been left, and missed by the housekeeper. Not a great start!
The floor was extremely dirty, not been cleaned at all. It was a major struggle to get the room cleaned thereafter, we had it cleaned once the whole week we were there, even after asking on numerous occasions.

The dining area had no air con which made it quite difficult to eat in there as it was so hot. The food was ok, pretty much the same thing every day and we ended up eating out most of the time.

The sun bed situation, we never managed to get a sun bed while we were there. By the looks of things you had to get up very early to get one, and once people had one they obviously just stayed there all day and did not move. Quite a shame when you pay for all inclusive and can’t even sit by the pool once while your there. Invest in more!!

Seating area - there is plenty of space for more seating outside of an evening, there was a few people wanting to sit outside for a couple of drinks and they couldn’t as lack of seating.

Cannot fault the staff they were all lovely and very helpful! Especially the security woman who always made an effort to say hello.

Our 10 days at Julian Marmaris has sadly come to an end. The hotel is lovely inside and out, the rooms, pool area and restaurants are kept to a high level of cleanliness and all of the staff from the reception, bar staff, restaurant staff and cleaning staff will go above and beyond to make your experience one to remember. There is a range of food served in the restaurant at meal times and also at the pool bar just after lunch. We opted for the room upgrade which is offered upon check in and it was 100% worth it, the room was lovely and very spacious and the air con was really good. The hotel is a stones throw from the beach and less than a 5 minute walk to some amazing bars and restaurants (one being Tiger’s Tavern for evening entertainment). We would like to say a special thank you to Funky for everything he has done for us, Funky is a lovely person and made the atmosphere in the hotel phenomenal, he made sure we had the best time both in the day and at night. He is a genuine, happy person who never fails to put a smile on everyone’s face and he made our stay one to remember. It was my partner’s birthday whilst we was away and the hotel staff came to our room with fruit, wine and a card which was also a lovely touch. We would have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again and we are already looking forward to coming back next year.

Overall the hotel was ok.
It was very clean and modern and communal areas were spacious but unfortunately lacked air conditioning so you did become very hot, very quickly!

The pool area was clean but there were no where near enough sunbeds. We had to be up and out at 7am each day, staying with our towels until 8am as management moved towels before this time. Not ideal when you come on holiday to relax. Some sunbeds also lost the sun very quickly due to the high rise building. The pool bar staff were amazing. They always made sure you had what you needed and also served you with a smile.

The hotel rooms were lovely, had everything you needed and came with air con, phew! Housekeeping could have been more frequent for some guests but we were happy with our service.

The WIFI at this hotel is very hit and miss and you have to pay extra to have it in your room. Not ideal really but we got by.

The food was ok at Breakfast time, not a lot of choice, the snack bar was better than main lunch as it offered more snack foods which was more appropriate as it was so hot. It did offer lots of choice though, just not our taste in foods. Again at dinner time, the choices were limited and a little tasteless for my partner but I did manage to find a few choices to my taste. The kitchen and restaurant staff were nice and friendly.

The Turkish Bath/Sauna that is available in the hotel (Additional charge, but not much) that was gorgeous. They offer different packages but the last day packages was ideal for us as we had a late night flight and this set us up nicely for our journey home. The staff were lovely and made you feel very special.

The best part of this hotel was the entertainer, Funky. He was amazing. He was always so smiley and made you feel so welcome to the hotel. He gave you advice on where to go and where not to go, played pool games with guests, chatted to each and every guest around the hotel, and giving them his time when they had any issues. Absolute legend!

We arrived here after a delay in the early hours of the morning and this after a delay at the airport waiting for the driver to set off. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by staff and offered a room upgrade for £200, which I am glad we took. We were given 1410 with a side sea view, the room was spacious, clean and tidy, bathroom was immaculate and there was plenty of furniture to lounge around on as well as a fridge. Bed was very comfortable and the aircon is great, it most definitely is needed in the hot weather. If I am to find fault here goes, our room wasnt cleaned that often, just the once in a week when we changed the towels however the floor wasnt swept or mopped. The pool area is limited, small and clean however people just dont respect the pool rules and get their towels at before 7am! You cannot and wont get a sunbed if your not up by 7am ands the hotel dont help things by not enforcing the rules. Beer and alcohol is fine however there is no air con int he bar which is a shame because its spacious and comfy. Foodwise, breakfast is more than adequate. We were all inc however we only ate one evening meal throughout the week and that was a delicious chicken vindaloo curry, again superbly presented, hot and tasty. Its adult only, it can be loud or quiet but its comfy, well placed and the staff are great. Well worth the money we paid including the upgrade - beware they charge you for the internet and safe so get the upgrade, you get internet access for 2, a later check out and if your lucky you get your safe included which overall makes £200 look a good deal as a late check out costs £95, wifi £5 per day and your safe is £30 and the roomsare more much comfier.

Positive stuff first. The staff are fantastic. Everyone around the dining room, the pool bar & food service (great food & ice cream available at the pool in the afternoon) the inside bar in the evening & reception were great. It’s important to them so special mentions to Sam & Sami at the bars, Gokhan everywhere, Yakup & Mehmet Sizkin at breakfast, Philip cleaning, Arif on reception.

Lots of choice at breakfast, traditional British & more European food. A later, smaller choice available for late risers. Lunch also comprehensive & an afternoon tea type thing which really was not much visited. Not surprisingly given the options by the pool. Dinner was very good. Drinks from the pool bar, with meals & the evening bar we’re all good.

We paid £140 extra for a bigger room the size of a suite, having viewed it and the standard room, and felt it was worth every penny. It included late checkout at 4pm. The aircon was great.

The beach was 200 metres away & 4 days out of 7 we went to use a beach club from around 10/3. Free sun beds, shades, wifi on the understanding that you buy your drinks/get your food there.

The big issue with the Julian is the sunbed issue. There are not enough for the size of the hotel (a hangover from the pandemic apparently). This results in some people up at 6am to sit on sun beds till 8am when hotel staff remove towels from unattended beds & a lot of people up by 7am to get their sun beds. Not relaxing! Hence we didn’t bother most days & went to the beach. You could usually get sun beds between 3 & 4 pm, sun still on the pool till 7pm.

There was little or no atmosphere in the evening bar & absolutely no attempt to provide any entertainment, no pool table, nothing. If you have done an all inclusive in the Caribbean this is not remotely comparable. How satisfied you will be may depend on whether you read TP before you booked & how much you paid given the sunbed/poor evening atmosphere issues.

I have given the score I have for the staff & the food, not being big drinkers & not bothered about going elsewhere (beach) for sun lounging & atmosphere.

Just returned from a week stay at Julian Marmaris. It was our first holiday together as a couple and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The hotel is beautiful and wonderfully presented. Rooms are a good size and finished to a high standard. We had a sea view from our balcony which was lovely. Air con is included which made our stay even more pleasant!
The hotel is located literally one minute away from the beach, the location is superb! However the rooms can be noisy as the road outside can be busy.
The staff at the hotel are brilliant, they cannot do enough for you. We were well looked after and anything we needed we were provided with - even down to recommendations for a local kebab restaurant from the lady on reception!
The food is really tasty and there’s lots of it, just a little repetitive as the week went on. If you don’t fancy the similar lunch, the afternoon snack menu is excellent and provides a real variety such as burgers and pizzas.
We both had massages in the spa downstairs and they were superb. We both walked out feeling like new people!
Sadly, the sun beds are an issue but we were prepared for this from reviews we had read. For the first few days, we were able to go and sit on a bed at 7:30am and stay there until 8. As the week went on, we found minimal beds at this same time and people were just leaving towels on beds. The hotel states that they can’t be reserved before 8am and if people aren’t sat on beds then towels will be removed. This didn’t happen and was frustrating for those of us who went down and sat on beds every day to find that people were putting towels down the night before and then appearing by the pool at 10/11am. The hotel did comply by this rule but this was on the last day and should really have happened at all times as people soon clicked that their towels weren’t being removed. We can’t complain though, we did get a sunbed every day!
Thanks for a fantastic first holiday, we can’t wait to book again for next year!

The AirCon is free. No English breakfast, but there's a little café almost next door that does a cheap & cheerful Spanish breakfast. We stayed last month and found the hotel to be really good for our quick stopover - see my review
