We went for a family holiday , 2 adults and 2 children, between the 18th and the 28th of august .
The hotel is well located nearby shops and restaurant and entertainment for the kids ; it’s also a reasonable distance from the beach , 1.5 km which we did every day by walk . The room was big enough for the 4 of us and very comfortable . I have the sing high praise for all the members of staff whom were working tirelessly long hours while wearing face masks and gloves at all time . Every single one of them was wearing PPE , from the hotel staff to the entertainment staff and the cleaners . Food was lovely and the buffet was well
Organised , because of the situation the buffet was served by the staff , but they were very efficient , there ware queues But it’s understandable considering the pandemic . Food , drinks and snacks available all day , kids had an amazing time .
2 reasons why I am giving a 4 starts rather than a 5 , 1st ) WiFi is not free , you have to pay for it , and although you pay for it then you can connect only 1 device at time , if you want to connect multiple devices you have to pay more ; 2nd) situation with sun beds poolside was awful , guests were putting their towels on the sun beds the night before to reserved them for the morning and by 5am ( my husband was going to the mosque at that time ) they were all taken . I think the hotel staff should find a way to regulate this as I saw families with young kids not being able to find space .
A part of this , it was a great holiday , great staff , great food and great beaches .

Having read some of the reviews before travelling, I was a little apprehensive but as a last minute very cheap holiday I thought let's make the most of it. And I'm so glad I did. Arrived at Julian Club early hours and although many people had also arrived we were dealt with efficiently. Temperature taken upon entering and masks worn. Although the room was basic it was ample for my family of 3. And at the end of the day it's a place to get your head down and wash. I wasnt planning on spending my holiday in the room. Air con a must and although classed as no view our front of hotel room overlooked the town area mountains harbour and had a beautiful sunrise. The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.
As for sunbeds being an issue, after our 1st day they announced they would be clearing towels and boy they did. They stuck to their word and binned them. Cleaning the pool areas every night and ensuring a safe place to use. We had no trouble getting a seat/sunbed. Pool snack bar was great, queues lasted minutes and staff really do try their best to keep the area tidy. Entertainment staff was great with all guests and worked hard especially in the heat.
Restaurant staff also worked hard and were pleasant and attentive. Food was served as best they could and every night we had a variety. In 5 nights apart from chips etc we had a selection of different meals. Their beef choices were beautifully cooked tender and delicious. Desserts were plentiful and very tasty. A good selection of drinks included in the all inclusive also and my son was chuffed he could have a 'mocktail'
Taxi rank outside the door and I definitely recommend a cheap trip to the beautiful beach at Icmeler. Crystal clear warm waters are a must to visit. Cheap food in the bars and plenty of water sport choices. Haggle and you can get them really cheap. Also a bonus is the free wifi which sadly Julian Club did fail in this area. The harbour was a lovely place to visit with lots of shopping g for bargains.
If I have to write some negatives then I do suggest the time limitations on the ice cream service being removed especially with the amount of children on holiday and wanting ice creams, reception staff could take a leaf out of the restaurant staffs books and smile a bit more, beds slightly uncomfortable but that could be personal choice and also the addition of some free wifi being advantageous is something Julian Club could look into.
All in all I would recommend this hotel. I did not witness any arguing, fighting, or I certainly would have complained. Thank you for a great holiday and I cant wait to return to Turkey.
For a cheap all inclusive holiday especially during the current Covid situation I was pleasantly surprised and glad I went I felt safe looked after and enjoyed a well deserved break.

Just got back from 11 nights, this us an honest review of a family with 2 kids age 5 and 10. Hotel is lovely, very clean, pools lovely, rooms very small for a family of 4 but we only needed somewhere to sleep and shower. Food variety OK got a little boring, had to queue to get in with new rules and wear a mask. Think if we were not under strict rules and they ran their weekly show buffets it would be better. At busy times you were waiting in the restaurant to get a drink and food was going cold. Staff lovely, and work so hard (honestly wearing a mask on that heat so day would not be easy) . We didn't think we would get a holiday this year and booked for the canaries, when that was cancelled we changed to this and so glad we did, felt very safe in the hotel and surrounding area. Temperature check to get in the hotel every time, temp checked to get in the restaurant. Sanitiser stations everywhere and constant cleaning being undertaken. One thing I would like to mention and give a big high five to is the entrainment team, YOLO they are called, they made our holiday. They work from 10am to nearly midnight each day and keep everyone enterained. When we rearranged to this hotel I saw reviews that there was no entertainment and poor, but believe me under the current situation these guys work so hard and honestly our holiday didn't feel much different to previous ones. Poppy, Jay, Alex and Ahmet were just great as entertainment staff, they did pool dances, ran some kids club activities and mini disco with social distancing every day. They hosted 2 different adult games of darts and pool each day and zumba and pool aerobics. Bingo, karaoke and some shows each night. Having two young children their ideal holiday is a pool, slides, kids club, activities to keep them busy, whilst mine is making sure they have the best time and get a little time to relax and sunbathe, this place made sure this happened. Pool dances each morning, lunch and afternoon, kids loved joining in with the crazy frog dance and wearing their entertainment team tshirts. Staff are wonderful with the children, bar staff remembered names and what drinks they liked, sibel the ice cream lady was just lovely and again the 4 guys running the entrainment team were brilliant. A big thank you for making 2020 seem not to bad and giving us a great family holiday. Turkey is a lovely place and we will definitely return to julian club hotel again.

My family and I have just returned home from a lovely stay at the Julian Club Hotel. Unsure of what kind of break it would be with COVID-19 restrictions in place, we were pleasantly surprised.
Accommodation: We booked a standard family room for our stay which was exactly what it said on the tin. A basic en suite room with a double, a sofa bed and a portable camp bed. As we only really used the room for sleeping, it was more than sufficient for the four of us.
Dining: Considering that we are still in the throws of a global pandemic, dining facilities and food was of a good standard. There was plenty of choices at all meal times and the staff did the best they could. Yes, there were occasionally queues as all food and drinks are served by staff, but meal times are sufficiently long to ensure that everyone gets to enjoy decent food. The snack bar was also good. A good selection for food for both kids and adults. Again, there can be queues, but that goes without saying as all food is served by staff.
Entertainment: The YOLO entertainment team made the holiday for my family. Jay, Poppy, Aleks and Ahmet were very good at making sure that everyone was happy and included in all activities. There was rarely a dull moment throughout the day. A very proactive team, they were very good at reading the crowd. If the atmosphere was a little flat, they'd start a dance, a little show or generally mess about to lift everyone. Considering there was only 4 of them, they worked very hard to ensure we all had a good time.

Negatives
Capacity: When we arrived, we were told that the hotel was operating at approximately 50% due to COVID-19. This did appear to be the case initially, but as days passed, the frequency and quantity of new arrivals appeared to be more frequent. We were told that the amount of residents actually rose to over 90% Although the hotel did get pretty busy, the number of staff did not appear to rise. This caused much longer queues for meals and drinks and the levels of rubbish appeared to increase significantly, which was a shame as the hotel was kept very clean.
Sunbeds: Having to get up at 4:30am to reserve a sunbed really doesn't make for a relaxing holiday! I genuinely hate it when people do it, but if you don't join the routine that is in place, you will miss out and as we have children, we prefer to be near the pool where they spend the day. Several complaints were made to reception about this by residents of the hotel, but they fell on deaf ears.

We recently stayed at club Julian as a family of 3 in room 3202. We got the regular bus transfer from the airport to hotel with no issues at all. On arrival at the hotel the check in was rather slow which was not ideal as it was 2am, but the staff were very friendly and were going as quick as possible.
We had upgraded our room prior to arriving to give us 2 seperate rooms. Although the rooms were small they had more than enough space for the 3 of us and also would of been fine for 4. They were spotlessly clean. The room was kept clean daily from the lovely cleaner who was very friendly and we had no issues getting fresh towels when we put them on the bathroom floor as instructed. We had a large balcony looking over the main pool and mosque which was a nice view, although we were only in our room to shower and sleep.
The food was very good. There was always something for everyone. The snack bar had lots of choice and I was very impressed with the variety on the ice cream stall. The alcohol was nice, we sampled wine, lager, whisky and gin and had no complaints at all. I do feel more bar staff would make a big difference as the bar queues can be long at times. The entertainment team were fantastic, my little girls favourite was Omar. The nightly shows were really good, we did however prefer it when it was the Yolo entertainers themselves as we were not impressed with the magic show or the turkish night. The hotels location is ideal. I think it is the first hotel I have stayed in that I have not heard noise from other rooms. The only let down is the sun bed situation. It really is a struggle to get sunbeds. I refused to get up at ridiculous o'clock as I was on holiday. The terrace does not seem to be as busy and there is definitely space for more beds. Also I felt the £60 to check out at 7pm was quite expensive. Overall a brilliant holiday and we would definitely go back 😁

Just spent two weeks here with 5 children, the hotel is nice and clean and the entertainment staff are good and made time to come and encourage us to play darts and Pool every day. The rooms are small and when you book there is no option to upgrade room, the balcony’s are small as well. Can’t really comment on food as we ate out most days purely cos That’s what we do on holidays. Although ice creams where very good, location is good and a taxi to the harbour cost between 25-30tl which is about £2.50. As previous reviews say its full of kids running around but this is a family hotel so you have to expect that.
Turkish Bath here was really good and cost about £30. If u have not been to turkey before I would suggest taking ££ as well at lira as every shop and bar seemed to prefer the £. Overall was a good holiday and was made to feel welcome by all. There are a few cats around the hotel but I loved this

Visited club Julian as 3 friends for 10 days. We were moved here last minute as our hotel was closed for the season and so happy we were! Our room was the standard room which was slightly small but for the amount of time we spent in it it Was adequate. The AC was great room was cool and the balcony was slightly small. We got extra bedding and pillows on request. The cleaners came in everyday and we had fresh towels everyday. The sun bed situation wasn’t ideal but nothing that wasn’t expected. We arrived at midnight and were told by another guest to put our towels down straight away and we did this every night about 1am. However the hotel has now stopped this and towels can’t be put down before 8am. The food is ok. Breakfast is fine but the same everyday. Lunch is really good. Snack bar is great but the restaurant on a lunch time is fantastic so much selection. Dinner was hit and miss but it is so cheap to ate out we did alternate nights in hotel and eating out! Children’s entertainers were fab however evening entertainment aaa not great! Drink selection was really good though! Loads of places near by Jacobs bar is amazing as is emre’s steakhouse! We used “just Marmaris” beach club and they picked us up and dropped us off-amazing! We didn’t use the Turkish bath through the hotel we booked it through Ago down the road from hotel and it was amazing also got out WiFi box from them! We had the best holiday felt so safe- hotel is what you make of it. We would definitely stay again and assume it would be better without the COVID restrictions!

We booked this hotel last minute and had a great time. The room was a bit on the small size and were offered to upgrade on the price of £35 a day which I thought was a bit steep!!
The people complaining on the rooms being dirty and never cleaned must have went to a different hotel, as our rom was cleaned EVERY DAY. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Working hard to keep all the kitchen tables cleaned and ready for the next guests to sit down.
The only people I found rude were some of the holiday makers! I was always brought up to say please and thank you! Some holiday makers were like animals with no manners! And expect to be treated back kindly!
I do agree that extra staff behind the bar at busy times would be a massive advantage to keep the queue down.
We managed to get 3 sunbeds everyday, but if you have kids and want to be near the pool you need to be up early. Saying that we were told you couldn't put a towel down before 8am, even at 7:45 all the beds were taken near the pool. I did see the management take a few towels off beds before 8am some days.
The food was a lot better than expected for a 3 star plus, ( better than the last 4 star hotel I stayed in)
Fresh chicken shawarmas every day was my favourite. But always something to choose from. Didn't expect to be getting Michelin star style food every day so wasn't disappointed.
Now the best bit...Jay and his entertainment team, always something to do if you fancy Darts, pool, archery, water polo the list goes on!! Best entertainment team in all the hotels/Holidays I've ever been on!
Plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance, but it's a canny walk down to the beach ( 20mins ish) but only a few quid in a taxi to get down to the lively part of Marmaris. We drank and ate out a few times and found it very reasonable to do so.... Will definitely be returning to Marmaris 😎🍺🍺🍺🌞

I have left it a few days since getting home before writing a review. We went for a week with our 10 year old who really enjoyed his week. For him it was 4 stars and for ourselves it's 2 stars so settled in between. During day 1 I regretted booking the hotel and wished we had gone elsewhere.no sun bed, harrased all day to book a spa, buy football cards and deal or no deal. At this point I had told my wife we would have to move hotels. She persuaded me that she was OK getting up at 5.30 to reserve a sunbed, she was also happy to wait till gone 8 before she could leave it otherwise the towels would be removed.
At this point I accepted the hotel for its bad points and got on with trying to enjoy the holiday.
The rooms are dated but clean, we had the air con pointing directly at the bed which isn't ideal having cold air in your face while sleeping. However I found the bed very comfortable. The music in the pool area is very noisy during games times but fine outside of this.
Outside lunch time food was very good, restaurant food in the evening was average and spoilt by parents allowing their kids to run wild, sticking their fingers into the food.
Air con was not turned on in the dining room or in the lobby area apart from our last day.
Whilst there were only ever one member of staff on the bars I found the queue lasted a couple of minutes so not a big deal.
As we went during peak season and in the middle of the summer holidays I expected a busy hotel but felt the pools and sunbed areas were nowhere near big enough for the amount of guests staying.
WiFi is OK in the public areas. Its £25 per device per week in the room, I wouldn't mind if if actually worked, it hardly worked at all and when I complained about this at the reception the knew it was poor but stated there was nothing they could do about it.
Overall its probably a decent hotel outside of school holidays with fewer guests. The guest relations team are competent (they needed to be with the volume of complaints I could see)

I am really confused over the high review score this hotel gets. This hotel is advertised as a 4 star but it’s more like a poor 3, i can only describe it as a Jaywick caravan park feel.

Rooms - filthy and dirty, mattresses hard and stained as with the pillows. No sheet to cover yourself just a old thick tea towel material sheet that is so itchy you cannot use it. Bathrooms outdated dirty and poor plumbing you are cleaner before you use the shower.

Food - one restaurant and over packed hotel flies all over crawling over the food. Poor choice and quality. Can’t get a drink when you eat have to go to the bar yourself. No tea or coffee offered at breakfast have to help yourself and it’s in a paper cup and wooden stirrer. Food is on plastic plates can’t get basics like butter or oil for salads. Seen chefs using hands to pick up food and arrange desserts it is not clean.

Alcohol is cheap local spirits no bottled water.

No sunbeds we watched women placing towels down at 2am to get a sunbed as it’s so poor there are not enough. No pool towels provided so had to buy them never been to a supposedly 4 star and had to bring own towels.

Wifi doesn’t work, hotel is rude when asked and try charge you extra to get a better wifi that also does not work.

Avoid its half hour from the beach.
