SERIN HOTELOn to the beach has had a lot of TLC for season 2014. Serin Hotel is in an excellent location. The staff will greet you with a warm welcome and will always go out of their way to make you feel right at home, this is probably why Serin has so many return guests over the many years. We do however recommend early bookings as we are very popular and our all-inclusive system works well with couples and families. Serin has large pool and a smaller children's pool surrounded by a lovely terrace with sun beds and umbrella's it's a small modern complex of two buildings that will suit all types of guests of all types of ages.

This hotel was very good for what we paid. We had a decent sized room which was 4 floors up with 2 balconies and beautiful views out to sea. Yes the decor wasn't great and it was very basic but we got what we paid for. We would stop again definitely. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast which was included in the price wasn't up to much but again that was reflected in the low price. The hotel served its purpose of being somewhere to sleep and shower. If we go back to Marmaris we would stop there again definitely. Only bit of advise is try to get on a higher floor with a sea view because this definitely made up for what was lacking in other areas. Overall we were happy with what we had.

Nice hotel in a nice location. However no fridge in the room. The breakfast was pretty poor. Upper floor room have a great sea view. Some of the senior staff were very helpful, however my son had his shorts taken, whilst we can not prove this, we do suspect a younger staff member was responsible, as they were an expensive brand. Would I go back, probably not.

Hotel itself isn’t the best though I’ve stayed in worse places. Air con was ice cold and was only £3 a day to hire. Can’t fault the staff they were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. Location wise it’s perfect for the beach and the strip along the promenade. It was clean though it just needs a bit updating which Saleem is doing over the shut down period. It’s cheap and cheerful and you get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for, a decent budget hotel with a swimming pool and access to the beach, 50 meters away. Covid-19 rules followed STRICTLY, which is very good.

Plenty of local eateries nearby, McDonald's, an indian restaurant, a Chinese restaurant and a mall. There are money exchange offices as well. Tons of bar on the beach within walking distance, jetski, paragliding, wind surfing, boat tours etc available. Public bus to the main bus station stops 100 meters away from the hotel. Breakfast which was included was decent. You can pay and have lunch and dinner buffer which is also good and the price is very good compared to the beach restaurants.

No wifi in the rooms though, only in the lounge area and the swimming pool area. We had data so it didn't bother us that much.

Rooms are decent, clean, bathroom is okay, hot water, hair dryer, a/c, heater, balcony (if you get a room higher, you will have a good view).

Recommended for budget hotel seekers, not 5 star luxury seekers.

We checked in and the room was filthy and dropping to bits door handle came off in our hands. Mattresess were all stained and squashed and the fridge was filthy with mouldy cheese in the door and unfit for use.
We changed rooms and second room wasnt much better. We actually bought cleaning stuff to try make it bearable. We were covered in flea bites off our room and visited by cockroaches.
We were 2 disabled women trapped in this nightmare. Terrified of manager as we heard yelling at another guest for complaining.

Arrived here, no help to room with luggage. Room was disgusting. It was filthy, curtains hanging off windows. Fridge was supplied for medication and was a disgrace. Scruffy dirty and mouldy cheese in door. Mattresses and pillows were stained. Springs were coming through. We moved rooms eventually and next one wasn't much better. We couldn't have breakfast as we are both disabled and there are steep stairs to reach breakfast. Manager did say we could get help but it never materialised. We were afraid to raise our complaints with manager as we heard him shouting at another guest who complained. He called him a British troublemaker. No cushions on sunbeds by pool and a few of them were damaged. We were bitten by what we believe were fleas or bed bugs. Also had a cockroach in our room. Do not go to this hotel.

I spent two weeks at the Serin in june. I was with my father and we had a wonderful time. i agree that the rooms were basic, but for the price you can't expect four poster beds!!!
Beside that, i also agree that the maid service needs stepping up, we had problems with the bed sheets not being changed aswell, their trick is to turn them over!!

On to the staff. All the lads were helpful and polite. anyone who thinks they are ignorant needs to remember that they probably don't really understand you, and that you might need to use simpler words rather than the longest word you can find in your head. they will always try their best to learn a new word but do be patient, we are just as ignorant when they talk to us in turkish!!

The hotel is in a brilliant location, just behind Bar X, and within easy reach of the local dolmus and taxi rank!!

The only downfall of being so close to the front is that if you want an early night you will have to be knocked out first as the music does go on until 4am. well reccommended for party people and late night dancers!!

A very good location, very basic but again, price reflects that, pool is clean and well maintained, night security aswell.

for the money it was a cracking holiday we went as four friends in two twin rooms which were always clean and the air conditioning which was free was amazing esp for late lunch heat. one of my friends is the pickyist eater in the world and although there was little choice you could go back up for 2nds 3rds. we especially enjoyed the bland soup. looked different every day but tasted the same. breakfast was always the same and limited which we got bored of as we was here for 2 weeks. but there is so much choice of outside eating we went outside for about 4 breakfasts which cost about £1.50 - 2 each with tea and or coffee. we went out to eat for the last night for a change and that cost us £10 with 2 rounds of drinks and 3 course meal. the pool is slightly cold but it is so refreshing you cant complain. as for drinks..... limited choice of BEER WINE VODKA BRANDY AND WHISKY. soft drinks included a great positive water and squash and iced tea were all self service and i never got told not to keep getting drinks through the night.
staff were ever so friendly. the views in both rooms were to die for. we had one sea view and one partly pool and partly sea view. night views could be better. not as loud as reviews claimed that we read before booking. the second week was not as good because we had noisy neighbours rude german young boys. (i was probably the same age but still) that would bang about comming in at 5 in the morning they soon stopped when we started waking them up at 8.
cleaners had to clean the room so dont go to sleep til after they clean your room. they will disturb you even with the sign if yours is the only one left.

ichemel was a bus or boat ride away which was a quieter change. and check out the trips done by outside people rather than the rep we went on a wonderful boat trip for £6 rep price-£18 both included lunch. we were chasing a swordfish for a while which was a funny experience but we would of never done that on the regiorusly stuck to routine on the rep trips. we also went scuba diving which cost about 12 pound overall a great holiday and experience 1st time in turkey not the last.

summing up wonderfully friendly staff

spick and span

free sauna we never did bother to check out.

food and drink basic but unlimited but what do you expect for the price

slightly cold pool

views amazing. location wonderful.

rep wasn't helpful at all.holidays 4u

quite basic but for the money a wonderful wonderful holiday

rooms
basic, beds comfortable but holey sheets, floors cleaned everyday and beds made, clean towels every other day.
food
what food? limited choice which was awful, was cooked else where and brought to the hotel in a van which was delivered at 11:30 and reheated at 12:30 for diner and again at 19:30 for lunch.
drinks
again limited drinks, local beer, watered down vodka, gin, raki or rum and brandy, soft drinks included rola cola and orangeade. cocktails you had to pay for even though it was all inclusive.
no where near a 3 star hotel 1 star at best and that is pushing it all in all awful!!!!

Response from summerdayzandnightz, replier to reviews at Serin Hotel
Responded 7 Nov 2014
our food is bought from the markets everyday. we buy for 2 hotels at the same time so what you see being delivered to the hotel is shopping.. our drinks are not watered down.. ok they are not top make imported brands but what do you expect for £12 per person per night.??? yes cocktails are not part of the all inclusive but they cost 8tl which is about £2???? we could include all these things you request in the all inclusive but then the price of the all inclusive would go up.. this is a business at the end of the day and the money must come from somewhere. we would suggest for your next holiday you pay a lot more £££ and hopefully then you may get the fine dining and luxury import drinks that you so love. many thanks for taking the time to review and hope our advice helps for your next holiday xx
