Travellers' Choice
In the centre of Marmaris, newly-refurbished Blue Bay Platinum goes the extra mile for guests. Its new sleek exterior, with violet lighting and curvy lines, makes an instant impression. This lively and very popular hotel is well suited for families and all ages alike. Tranquil sea-themed rooms feel like oases despite being in the center of the city. A great collection of facilities at the hotel, 4 outdoor pools, one of which comes with water slides, and it continues with a spa, where you can take your pick from a range of treatments and therapies. The main restaurant brings buffet dining into the 21st century. You can sit in comfy settees to eat, and food choices are presented artistically, think amuse bouche in shot glasses and prawn cocktails in highball glasses. Only 70 m to the main beach and 1.9 km to the cosmopolitan centre, with Marmaris famous shopping bazaar, amazing nightlight and multi-million dollar marinas. Travel only 2.5 kilometers or 10 minutes by local transport to the idyllic neighboring resort of Icmeler boasting magnificent scenery and beach.

Nice rooms, spotlessly clean - as was the hotel generally. Food was excellent, with a varied choice each mealtime. The 'adult only' area is a must, if you have older/no children 😉 5 mins from a small beach and a bustling promenade - watersports and many bars available.

Nice enough hotel staff great, not enough daytime activities.my husband and I contracted Nora virus and no one cared basically. The TUI rep suggested it was sunstroke ha in 24 degrees c. One really bad thing is in the restaurant they have all this lovely bread but everyone touches and cuts it without a napkin to protect from their possibly unwashed hands. I told restaurant manager a few times and still no cloth for bread. Please get a cloth for bread cutting

This was brilliant, food was yummy and everyone was having a good time, beware of the Marmaris strip & people trying to scam you into buying things but the hotel and the staff were brilliant and I can say by far it is very good, clean and food and drink was given basically 24/7 I would mention that WiFi is not the best here, so find an alternative if your going out for excursions and need WiFi/ Data there’s a shuttle bus that takes you in the shopping centres through Marmaris and any phone shop, a legit shop does reasonable prices on sims & can get you started and activated asap. But that’s just a note the hotel itself was wonderful.

First of all, This was originally a trip for my 15 yr old daughter, 23 yr old son and his girlfriend. My son was refused at check in due to damage (a ripped back page) of his passport. Tui told us Turkey are very fussy and would allow him into the country so we had to leave him behind. I am mentioning this for people to be aware of. His photo page was fully intact, his passport number clear, the rip did not affect these but he was still refused.   OK, so, Blue Bay Platinum. I’ve read mixed reviews and believe I am very balanced with mine. Firstly, I wouldn’t rate the hotel no higher than 3 star British standard. The rooms were fairly small, clean and nicely decorated, but, compact. The bathroom was a let down, the grouting needed scrubbed or replaced, the shower head had no power and I struggled to wash my hair. The walk-in shower was so slippy I am surprised I didn’t fall over. No USB sockets in the room at all, which for a 4/5 I’d expect. No where decent to do your makeup, dim lighting throughout the room, unimportant to some, but no full length mirror lol Air con worked fine. The corridors look impressive, as does the rest of the hotel. It felt almost like a lot of attention to detail went on everything except the rooms. We had the same cleaner every day for our floor, lovely lady. I was told that if you tip cleaners they’ll look after you well while you’re there. So, on day 2 I tipped her 200 lira (around £5) but our room cleaning was hit and miss, only twice did she leave us a floor towel/mat, sheets were not changed throughout the stay, shower was not washed out once, this grossed me out as it had a build up of our hair, sand etc. but the shower head was attached to the ceiling and did not reach so I had no way to rinse it myself which I would have happily done. In hindsight, I should have reported this at the time. There was just something grimy about the bathroom, poor lighting too. Sunbeds: There are an abundance, however, in October, there were only certain parts around the pools at certain times you got sun, so you would find people putting towels down in the early hours to secure those parts that got better sun. There were always plenty of beds in the shade. The towel they give you is small and thin; I’ll bring my own next time. The main pool is quite a distance from any bar which I found annoying, I may be lazy, but never have I had to walk very far to get an alcoholic drink. If, again, you tip one of the staff 50lira, they will take drinks orders which worked for me a few times, but I know some will resent paying this on top of the holiday. I struggled with the all-inclusive drinks selection, all local spirits, none nice. Cocktails overly sweet, I settled for the Rose wine which wasn’t nice at first, but after 3 glasses you just got used to it lol The food, now I make this very clear, I do not like all inclusive food, anywhere, so this would be a poor rating anyway due to my fussiness. But this was very low on the scale. I literally couldn’t bear it. I marked it 2 or 3 out of 10 every visit. Although we had it on a Sunday, and I must say, this was decent. I found the staff in the restaurant quite off most of the time, the bar staff too, perhaps due to it been end of season, but I definitely didn’t feel welcome. Entertainment when it was on was decent, the entertainers very friendly with lots of banter. The pools, were all small in my opinion. I did not see the adult only or indoor one. The beach is a short walk away. No all inclusive but there are guys providing a drinks service.   Now, here’s some savvy advice. Turkey flights all seem to be bad times meaning you check out at 12noon and without a room for a long time. It was £50 to keep our room on until 4pm, just 4 hours. There is a basic hotel next door, I went and had a chat with the owner. She gave us one of their rooms for £45 until we were ready for our transfer flight at 11pm. So, we still got our all-inclusive and use of pools, but used her room to get showered and ready for the flight home – and her bathrooms were freshly renovated with a beautiful powerful shower! If you stay here give Ledbury’s a few doors along a try, lovely food and staff, a bit further down, Always Bar, fantastic night out! Just be aware drinking out in Turkey is as expensive as drinking in UK city centres! I will definitely be returning to Marmaris, but not this hotel unfortunately.

This was my first time in Turkey and as a recent widow I travel alone. It all worked out really well, and I need not have been apprehensive at all. I quite like to walk, and I didn’t tire of walking up and down the pleasant clean beach side road, in both directions from the Hotel. It fully lined with a huge array of bars with sun beds on the beach. They have river taxis which I loved and went to Ichmeler (market Wednesday and Tuntuç Market Monday. It is a cheap and pleasant fast boat trip to lovely places and a change of scenery, Then walking out the front of the hotel again in both directions lots and lots of shops and pleasant hotels etc to browse around. I had some amazing treatments in the Hotel Spa a full 2 hrs pampering session with an amazing Balinese young lady, who certainly knew her craft. The staff where all exceptionally lovely, kind, cheerful and helpful to. Security even helped me out when one trip didn’t arrive for me. And again when my transfer went without me. The male and female waiters where so lovely and with being on my own, they always made sure I got a table 🌹🥰 it felt like I had my own little team. Michelle the Tui rep was great and VERY helpful with a suitcase issue I had. Also a big shout out to the Hotel Hairdresser complete staff. They where so nice. I had a wash and blo a couple of time, even had my eyebrows done ALL very friendly and professional I must say and great prices too. I think the boss was called Chris. I’ll see if I can add some photos later.

Excellent location, hotel clean and modern. Food can be a bit the same, but some themed nights. We visited Marina and nice meal out there. We stayed at the relaxed adult pool all the time and had amazing service from the bar man Alex, so friendly and could not do enough for us. Although the toilet facilities need updating!

We arrived early hours and put in rundown stinky room, went down that morning and got moved to room we should have been put in at start. Food was great plenty to choose from always something to like..bottled water only available in ROOM. couldnt get from bars etc very strange you had to get yr own drinks from machines.. Rooms kept clean and tidy lovely housekeeper we had 5* to her floor 4 rooms 24 onwards. Entertainment was non existent apart from 1 evening!!!. Main pools very busy and noisy and people putting towels on sunbeds very early it was a joke!!! Very built up so you have to move around to catch sun we went to relax pool nice and relaxing sun at one end in afternoon only. Tui rep Michelle was lovely and chatted with everyone making sure all was ok. Most staff were friendly and helpful odd few very rude!!!. Beach was shingle and no bar unless you wanted to pay. Make sure you get towel card from reception for beach towels dont understand why they're not handed out when you check in?. £80 they charge to keep room which is ridiculous. Also l think you should be handed a bottle of water when departing for coach but oh no that was an issue just when we asked ridiculous..
