This is by no means a luxury hotel but for £20 per person per night with breakfast it really was great value for money and a significantly better standard than similar priced hotels in Marmaris.

Reception:
On check in receptionist had very little English so was hard to ask questions/get answers. Air Con is £5 per day and it really is a must as the rooms heat up so much. Safe box can be hired for £10/week also. Reception print out your bus collection times and leave them out for you the night before departure.

Bedroom:
The bedrooms are small and modern with a more dated bathroom but they are cleaned to a good standard daily with fresh bedding and towels left. During our stay the water went off 4 or 5 times but it did come back on within the hour. There is a mini fridge in the room which is really great. However the beds are quite stiff and not that comfortable. Music from the bar can be very loud of
You’re trying to sleep anytime before midnight so maybe bear this in mind if you have small children.

Communal areas:
Annoyingly no lift and four flights of stairs to your room is tiring in that heat. The lights in the stairs only come on when your right below them and turn off after a few seconds, it’s actually quite dangerous and more lights with longer sensor time would really be needed so be careful you don’t trip. The pool area was clean and all the grates were repaired, annoyingly people left their towels theirs the entire week but I just moved them.

Breakfast:
Served between 8 - 10am. There is scrambled egg, toast, mushroom, beans, frankfurter type sausages, bacon (not pork), fried egg, watermelon, cheeses and olives. Also some cereal and milk. A juice machine and coffee machine is also self service. Everything I tasted was nice and quality was good.

Location:
Absolutely brilliant, bus at end of the street takes you up and down for less than 50p per person. The beach is so close and about a 20 minute walk to the marina and 25 mins to bar street. The bar in the hotel is great but I wasn’t keen on their cocktails, we went to the Hotel Begonville and used their pool and had cocktails that were made with premium spirits in large glasses the staff there were really nice and it was a great vibe.

Just git back from a 10 night stay. Didn't know what to expect after reading mixed reviews but here's my honest opinion! The location of this hotel is ideal, 5 mins walk to the seafront & 10 mins walk to the harbour/marina. We arrived 2am & after booking in, a guy took our cases up the 5 flights of stairs, no lift! We're both in our 60's with back problems & I wish we'd asked for a lower floor because by the end of the holiday it was painful! The room was modern, it was furnished with a double bed, tv, long dressing table & stool, open unit as a wardrobe. No drawers so we had to keep underwear etc in the 2 holdalls. Aircon was above the headboard & was blowing direct on our upper bodies, so we ended up sleeping with feet at the headboard end as we only had a thin blanket & found it too cold, even on 25 deg! the balcony was tiny, the aircon unit was standing on a slant in one corner, 2 white plastic chairs & a small plastic side table took the rest of the balcony space up, I don't think a sun lounger would have fitted on the balcony! The bathroom had a large shower unit, sink & toilet but no shelf to put toiletries on.
The hotel itself looked clean enough although sparse & bare in the reception area. In my opinion, the housekeeping let's the hotel down. We had to ask for fresh towels 3 days in, best day they left us, I bath towel & one hand towel between the two of us. Again we asked for more towels, they didn't arrive! By day 6, we spoke to the owner who was on reception, from then on, 4 fresh towels left every day, bed was changed on day 7. The floor wasn't swept or mopped the full time we were there! The floor was gritty under foot.
The breakfast was good, I really don't know why people were complaining around the hotel. There was a lovely guy making omelettes, fried eggs, fried bread etc. The buffet had scrambled & boiled eggs, beans, tomato, fried mushrooms, salad, chips, sausages, cereals & toast. The coffee was lovely out of the machine & there were several fruit juices to choose from.

Finally, the bar area had a great atmosphere, the bar staff Alex, Jason, lucas & the team were always cheerful & friendly & the drinks were no more expensive than in the town itself!

We didn't use the pool area as we're beach people. The hotel is cheap & cheerful, ideally located & somewhere to sleep & get changed. It's not 5* priced so don't expect a 5* hotel.

This hotel has recently reopened after a closure and renovations. The previous reviews are not reflective of the current service. Warm welcome from all staff and the cleaners always made sure we had fresh bedding, towels shampoo, soap, toilet paper etc. Our room was originally located on 1st floor but with a pram it was difficult with no lift. We asked for another room and they immediately relocated us overlooking the bar and pool area on ground floor. We went second week of May and the hotel was still extremely quiet but I imagine it will get busier as the season usually does. They are still completing some renovations. Some areas still require work and need fixing but reflective of 3 stars. The bar had new signage and play areas fitted whilst we were there and it looked like they were adding more to seating and play areas as we left. This shouldn't put you off as it's didn't disrupt the service and facilities. It's basic hotel but served its purpose when it comes to expectations of 3 star hotel. The slide wasn't open and pool cold but didn't stop us going in. Closely located to all bars and restaurants smack bang in the centre between marmaris marina one side and icmeler the other. If we come back I would stay again and love to see what they continue to do to the place as it has great potential to be amazing. Big thank you to Beyram (front of house), Mustafa (owner/boss), Tony & Fatih and each cleaner we had. We also went on all inclusive pirate boat trip with kids which we would highly recommend. Prices are between £20-£30pp and normally kids go free.

Stayed there for second time, this time we spend there 1 months, and it was our best decision. Very welcoming and cozy, felt there super safe and like back home. Grand bazar and city town 15 min walk, beach 10 min, Blue water shopping centre 5 min . Very welcoming staff, bar inside a hotel is absolute bargain- nice and very cheap drinks. In general great hotel, already booked for next year.

We came for a week this may we were the first customers since the refurbishment couldn’t fault this hotel at all anything you needed doing the staff will go above and beyond for you the rooms are very modern and cleaned daily. Tony and his staff are excellent, also every morning you will get a full English breakfast served that you would be paying 7 pound a day elsewhere, would recommend this place to anyone and will most definitely be back in the future perfect location central to the beach and all bars and restaurants do not miss out and let past reviews decide your holiday this is a refurbished hotel under new management! See all soon

My partner and I were staying in a different hotel for 10 nights and wanted to extend our holiday. We were not happy in the hotel that we were staying in so we chose to extend our holiday in the Mehtap family hotel instead. The staff were so welcoming and gave us a really good price to extend our holiday for 3 nights. After one day at this hotel we wished we'd have done the whole holiday there instead. The vibe around the pool was great, the staff service is brilliant and there's always good music playing, location is brilliant. The hotel comes with breakfast included which we enjoyed every morning and then the food and drink prices throughout the day and night are cheap. The room we stayed in was a standard double room which was very clean and had really good air con which was only £5 per day, towels and bedding were changed every day. The bar of a night time is always lively with a good vibe and great music playing. On our last night they had a Turkish night arranged which came with a lovely Turkish BBQ buffet and great entertainment such as belly dancers and break dancers, the staff also did dancing too which was good fun, the atmosphere was great. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! Thank you all at Mehtap family hotel for a great stay, we will most definitely be booking to come back for a full holiday next year!

Fantastic small budget hotel. We arrived at 1am and were greeted by staff off the bus who took our cases to reception and then onto our rooms. Rooms are basic and had a kettle, cups, fridge and air con at £5 a day. Breakfast buffet was included, tea, coffee machine and a man making fresh omelettes.

Room was cleaned and beds made every day, towels and bedding changed once when we were there in 7 days but this is standard now in all countries at this kind of hotel (eco friendly etc).

Pool was fab and clean, no sunbed wars, plenty to go round, most people started coming to the pool at 10am onwards. Bar staff will serve you by the pool. Slide was fab. We played darts and water polo during the day. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Bar staff were amazing, friendly and all spoke very good English. There is a snack and dinner menu. Drinks were reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Turkish bbq evening with a belly dancer and breakdancers, kareoke, we missed the bingo night and circus acts just due to being out for dinner. The bar staff on other evenings had people up dancing of all age groups. Remember this is not an all inclusive holiday with the entertainment you expect of such a resort it’s a family small hotel and they do an amazing job. The staff work really hard.

It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and main bar street of marmaris which is a lot busier and so was lovely to come back to our hotel at night for a nightcap on the nights we ventured down there.

We were 2 women and 3 teens and they loved it. Would definitely visit again.

We arrived late 5am got seen and straight to our room we had a family room so a bedroom and a living room with balcony. Overlooking the main entrance and bar although a little noisy as you can imagine we still managed to sleep through it . We woke up the next morning to find our door wouldn’t open but that was immediately fixed and was given a free safety deposit box in case it happened again . Then my partner lost his phone which the staff looked through cctv straight away and was handed in because he left it in the swimming pool ( yes it still worked ) . Rooms are spacious balcony is lovely . Walking distance from absolutely everything the location is spot on the pool area was clean and service by the pool was great the entertainment they lads always up for a laugh . We made great friends . Breakfast in morning was a selection of goodies but I picked a omelette every morning was cooked right in front of my eyes juice and coffee machine . We had a absolute ball of a time .
