David, Durham, UK Had an amazing holiday at the Grand Cettia with the Family. The Hotel itself was lovely and tidy and the pool was spot on for the kids. Lots of activities throughout the day around the pool like darts, water polo ECT. The Hotel staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a great holiday. Big shout to Marta, Barney, Eddie and Stompa! Thanks for a fantastic holiday see you next time! David, Steph, Reece, Ethan
Booked 2 days in advance due to good price and was very pleased in our choice of hotel. All the staff were very friendly. Hotel definitely more suited to families as it had a great animation team, but we still enjoyed as a couple. Good COVID procedures in place. Booked a couples package treatment in the spa and absolutely loved it, it changed my partners opinion on massage. Massive thanks to Marco for persuading him to give it a go, would highly recommend to anyone staying at this hotel :)
Our room was dated and filthy. Dirty worn carpet never hoovered in the 11 nights we were there. Bathroom never cleaned. Scum marks on bath and stains on shower screen. Mattress on beds were stained and lumpy, definately needing replaced. Only one bed had a mattress protector. Food was always cold and repetative. First time I have ever heard of soup made from cornflour and milk, tasteless. Ran out of bread one day, cheese the next and butter the next. Peaches and fruit salad served that were off. Fresh fruit was past its best. Food was definately not fresh. Bread and pastries were hard. Ice cream served for an hour, once every other day. When they ran out of the 3 tubs there was no more.Cochroaches seen around seating area. Staff did not follow covid 19 rules. Did not wash or sanitize their hands when moving between stations or going outside to collect dirty crockery. I asked numerous times for staff to use tongs when handling bread for toasting. Closed restaurant at 9pm even although it was advised as 9.30pm. Speciality restaurants, kids play park and games room were closed. Entertainment was when and if they could be bothered as the hotel was not full. Guest Relations manager was in denial and did nothing. TUI rep was useless and did follow up on our complaints. Along with many other guests. Don't waste your money.…
I met Simon the hairdresser and he gave me 2 haircuts during my holiday both were excellent haircuts, and the hairdressers was very professional and very clean. Can’t wait to come next year excellent.
Firstly I am not sure if the problems we had were due to covid if that is the case the tui should not have sent us on holiday but there were a lot of negatives All amenities were not open like sherlock and pool bar and lighthouse restaurant also food choice wasn't great meaning we ate out quite a lot the rooms were nice shower was useless reminded me of a cheap B&B and the room wasn't cleaned until we complained the staff had limited English which meant ordering drinks got a bit tiresome by the end of the holiday also we don't have kids but were told certain things for kids weren't open hence pool was full of kids all day other than that it was not a bad hotel apart from being rather small and a bit of a trek to get to the beach front it's not a hotel I will be returning to and the star rating should be a 3 at best hopefully when covid is beaten the hotel will get better but until then I would have reservations before you book…
