Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Travelled as a family, myself, husband, Son his Partner 2 of my grandchildren from them aged 4 and 2, my Daughter, Son in law and grandchild from them aged 4. We arrived and it was late n dark, we were all shown our rooms which were close together, the room seemed ok and had what you needed, kettle, tea bags (take your own) Coffee (take your own) some water on arrival and from there on in you get your own water...tip hide your bottle or they will take it you need this bottle to fill up again, use the water from the breakfast area oh and...make sure you take some milk from the breakfast area as you won't have any. The bad, room was never cleaned, towels got changed but only a couple of times, bedding only a couple of time, the floor was never cleaned at all, we highlighted our issues with the lovely TUI rep and she heard the same thing from other guests over and over. Food was horrible unless you want your family eating from the snack bar crap all day. My Son and his partner pulled up the Manager as the Chicken Nuggets were still frozen in the middle and your children wouldn't know the Chef had to take them all out of the way to re cook. Drinks were crap. The hotel is vast and could be so much more they do not have enough by way of Pools, entertainment etc I understand that this is a family hotel and my god I have never seen so many Children crammed in one place, some families arguing with others because little johnny was spraying water at so and so child jeez. There is an area where they play some football (like you would want to in that heat) I think this area should be dug out and the possibility of another pool wouldn't go amiss, either for older children or adult only. Oh just one more thing we were extremely Ill when we got back...it turns out that there was a bug of some sort going round the Hotel, my Son in law lost pay and is still waiting for TUI to finalise on his complaint, my grandson was also hospitalised and put on a drip. This is just my honest review, I would have shared some of my experience on their group page but...for whatever reason they wouldn't post it. Ultimately this is your holiday and if you are not happy ask them from early on to change it.

I’ve travelled to Turkey several times and The Grand Cettia by far is the best accommodation I have stayed in. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Fresh towels and bed changes several times during the week was there. We went all inclusive and the selection of food on offer was superb, I have a very fussy teenager and he had plenty to eat that suited him. The restaurant was always very clean and the staff were on hand to help with anything. The bar has entertainment on nightly and a great selection of drinks included in the all inclusive. The hotel entertainment was without doubt the best there is. They entertained the children and adults from early morning to late night. Barney and the team were truly outstanding. When the children are happy, mummy is happy. I would highly recommend and will definitely return again soon. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for looking after us so well.

I have been to this hotel before and I will definitely be going again! All staff are really friendly but the entertainment team are what really set this hotel apart. Barney is the best at entertainment I have ever seen in my life he is amazing with everyone, from kids right up to adults he makes your whole stay better! Great shows each night and also bingo / quiz to get stuck into. If you want a good hotel with amazing entertainment team definitely book this hotel.. you will know which one Barney is when you hear him! :)

This is our 4th or 5th stay at this hotel, we absolutely love it, we have just booked again for May 2024, one year we booked a beach hotel and requested to move back to Cettia as we missed it so much, unfortunately it was fully booked and we had to stay at the other one. We have 2 children and the family rooms are perfect for us, your only in there to sleep! The entertainment is the best in Marmaris and we have been coming her for the past 15 years, magicians, acrobats, guest games, kids disco, cheese and wine nights, turkish nights. The all-inclusive drinks are great, nice wine in a wine glass! I have never had a problem with the food, i love my morning freshly made Omelette from Sedat. Also prepares eggs, pancakes etc The buffet always has something to cater for, there is an outside grill that prepares lovely fresh kebabs and fish etc. Burgers, chips, hot dogs for the kids, great salad, fish and chicken dishes. Lovely coffee out of the machines, you can also get turkish coffee and cake from the little lighthouse. My husbands has used the spa in the past and loved his turkish massage. Marta the guest relations manager is always around to help with anything. The entertainment staff are our friends after all these years, my children love them, Ediz, Barney and all the team. The kids count down to 4.30pm everyday for the football match in boiling hot weather!

My family and I had the misfortune of staying in this hotel during July 2023. Prior to booking with Jet2 I spent many hours reading the various reviews on the hotel, the vast majority of which were extremely positive. I foolishly bought into these reviews and booked the holiday all inclusive for seven nights. We have been away as a family of four several times and thankfully never to anywhere and bad as this. The hotel looks beautiful in the pictures but sadly the reality is that it's dirty and run down. On arrival at approximately 0130 we were tired and shown to our room for the stay which was about the size of a typical en suite toilet, this was the first of many disappointments. We upgraded the next morning to a larger room at additional cost which at least gave us space to move around. I do not believe our sheets were ever changed during our stay despite seeing staff in the halls each morning with trolleys, this was obviously just to make the guests believe rooms were being cleaned. The food provided is bland, grey in colour and there is little variety night after night. I tried my best to remain positive for the sake of my family but this wore me down to the point where I was forced to admit the obvious, the experience was reminiscent of school dinners. The dining area was filthy and the majority of guests were quite obviously treating each meal as their last due to their apparent lack of manners. The staff appeared hard working but there were simply not enough to cope with the demand during the frenzy. The pool area was crowded and generally when you spent anytime in the pool you had to be content with having physical contact with all of the other guests. Coffee was available during the day in plastic cups from a disgusting machine located in the lobby, not what you would expect from a resort advertised as five star. The "Sherlock Holmes Bar" is a disgusting and smelly bar with dirty carpet and a horrible smell, it might be appealing if you're used to being in a uk prison. The good points: We had a massage during our nightmare stay, thankfully this was very pleasant, very reasonably priced and if I ever had the misfortune of staying here again id book one. The hotel has a lift. The local people are incredibly friendly and easy to speak with. To summarise, avoid at all costs.

On our return to the UK my daughter and partner have been diagnosed with salmonella and I'm covered in bed bug bites- do not book this hotel. Evidence sent to Jet2 including GP records. The rooms are tiny unless you upgrade. The mattresses are very hard , almost like sleeping on the floor. The room was barely cleaned and the pool area was also very dirty. There were layers of dust everywhere in the room. I ended up covered in insect bites and this happened either by the pool or in the bedroom, I did not sleep for the last 3 nights there as the bites are extremely itchy - will be getting these checked out the moment we land. My partner has barely left the room during the last two days , as gone down with something that I can only describe as gastroenteritis, could not eat or drink anything other than bread and water. No DR on site so had to look for pharmacy The balcony was so tiny it could only fit 2 chairs even though the room is supposed to sleep 4, it wasn't cleaned once during our stay . The food was average , with better options available on the grill . Breakfast were the best meal with omelettes made to your taste. The bar and drinks were ok. A member of staff would not leave my sun bed until I submit a 5 star review. I've amended it after she left but she's returned the following day claiming her money will be reduced if I don't give this place 5*!!! Shocking. The hotel cleanliness is a let down to their effort. Jet2 and TUI both should be looking at the star rating there and reconsider sending customers until cleanliness standards improve. The hairdresser Jack was great , the other two staff members, however, always looked miserable and the lady was very pushy and borderline rude making comments about personal appearances - not a great marketing strategy.
