Ts Gold Hotel is just 10 minutes walk to the center and 7 minutes to drive to Trabzon Airport. The staff was kind and helpful. Some rooms don't have windows. So ask for a sea view. The breakfast is under expectation. So this hotel is just ok for an overnight to catch the early plane.

I stayed 3 nights at the hotel. Yes, the hotel is not the cleanliest I've ever been to. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast is nice (except there's no coffee, just instant nescafé) but at least they should either clean the carpets or change them to wood floor. It really disappoints you that the lobby is very nice...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed. The walls were marked and dirty, the carpet was filthy and stained, the shower had mould in each corner and the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The area where you have breakfast is also very dirty. The only place that looks presentable...

This is to confirm. Dirty rooms and noise. No need for this. It would not take much to clean up. The staff Re good and I have to disagree an out the people of Trabzon. We are two older Canadian women. It was safe and the Turkish people were kind and wonderful. However the Russian immigrants were not friendly at...

To be fair all of Trabzon is one big tourist trap and my advice to anyone visiting the region is not to stay in Trabzon itself since there is very little to see or do in the city. The locals are very unfriendly to tourists and prices change significantly if you are not Turkish. It really reminded me of traveling...

Noisy even on the fourth floor as it is on a very busy street, which made for a rough night's sleep. Room smelled of stale smoke. Clean room & bath with good shower. Decent breakfast. Short walk to city center for dinner. This place is OK for a one night stay on your way somewhere special like Ayder.

First of all, remember you are not in a high tourism area of Turkey. To find an affordable, yet clean and acceptable hotel can be challenging. The rooms where all right, but smelled of stale smoke. Shower worked great and bathroom was clean - that's always a plus. Be sure to get a room further to the top, because it...

My wife and I have been travelling quite a bit lately on a combination of business and vacation travel. I have written a number of reviews recently as a result. This review is about the TS Gold Hotel in Trabzon, Turkey. We understood we were booking a 3 star hotel and I would say this is what we received. The...

“Stayed in room 103. It had no windows and unfortunately the people on the rooms next to this one were fond of having very loud conversations in the night and you could hear it.”
Olimon_G, 11 Nov 2014 | Read review
“The higher floors give a good few of the water if you are in the front. In our room, however, the noise of the traffic would be an issue if you are sensitive to noise. The views on the back of the hotel were pretty bleak and I would avoid being there. As well, since unoccupied rooms were left open for some reason we noticed that at least one room on our floor had no windows. You may want to specify a room with a window on check-in. While not strictly related to the room review, I would also recommend a visit to the Sumela Monastery which will require going with a tour group (about 25 Turkish Lira + 8 TL entrance fee) but truly an amazing site with a good hike up the mountain as an added bonus. As well, check out the local hamam in Trabzon. Just off the main square, next to the Efes pub and up a street from the Macdonald's & Burger King. Don't go to the city, unless you have transportation, with the idea that you can do lots of hiking in Trabzon's green spaces. While you can do lots of walking you should be aware there is very little in the city itself. Many of the references to the beauty of Trabzon that one reads about relates to areas within the Trabzon province and not the city itself. An EXCEPTION: There is a stretch of walking/running/cycling of about 5 or 6 kilometres along the seashore which is excellent. The surface is modern and easy on the legs and there are outdoor exercise stations throughout the area. Finally, there are many historic properties and locations to check out in Trabzon city. Enjoy!”
