Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After an incredible holiday in Uganda (with two lots of gorilla trekking, river trips and safari) the Karibu was our location for a visit to the Mabamba Wetlands to see the famed Shoebill Stork and our final night in Uganda before flying home. Our rooms were very nice, the food is very good and the staff provide an extremely high level of service (a special mention to Rose). One member of our party was not well upon arrival and was unable to join the rest of us on our trip to hopefully find the Shoebill Stork. The wonderful team looked after our friend during our trip and made sure she had everything she needed. This considerate care was greatly appreciated. PS We were lucky enough to see the Shoebill!

In every respect Karibu guesthouse exceeded our expectations; from incredibly friendly staff, to wonderful ambiance, to the best food, what can I say but that we were so lucky to stay here, not once but three times during our visit to Uganda.

My wife and I stayed here for the last night of our African Vacation. It was an excellent place to end and excellent trip. The food was incredible and the staff were amazing. The rooms/beds are comfortable, the shower was hot with good pressure. We really loved the dinner we had and the breakfast the next morning was exceptional. We also had a private driver to takes us to the airport who was kind and helpful to walk us all the way inside the airport showing us where to go. Would obsoletely stay here again

We had an amazing stay at Karibu Guest House. The staff was amazing, the pool is relaxing, and the room was perfect for our short stay. Also plenty of different colorful birds which were beautiful, and the food was delicious.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Uganda exploration. It is a cozy, quiet oasis tucked away from the craziness of Kampala and Entebbe with the best food we had in our six weeks in Africa. The ladies staffing the hotel are on it: efficient, friendly, and constantly smiling. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with limitless hot water for showers. If you're looking for a place that feels almost like home, this is it.

Really the cleanest place we stayed in Uganda (we were here for three weeks). It really is a place that has attention to detail at every step of the way and although classed as a guest house, it’s more like a boutique hotel in many respects. The rooms are spacious with either a garden or lake outlook and very quiet. There is everything you need except perhaps hair conditioner for the ladies but that’s not unusual in Uganda. The setting is lovely and there is a small pool in the lush gardens. Staff here are very accomodating and looked after us three ladies very well. Meals are also good standard and fresh. You can easily use this place as your jumping off place to explore Entebbe and don’t miss the Mbamba swamp and the shoe bill bird. Definitely a good place to stay

We started and ended our Uganda safari amd gorilla trekking at Karibu Entebbe. It is 10 minutes from the airport, located on a hillside overlooking Lake Victoria. British East Africa was governed from Entebbe, and Karibu Entebbe is on the edge of the governor’s grounds, now occupied by the President of Uganda. The rooms are spacious, with nice bathrooms, and great grounds, including a beautiful little plunge pool. We were resting after 30 hours of travel, and Karibu entebbe was perfect. We got a massage, ate a few excellent meals, and walked into town. I highly recommend walking to the Botanical Gardens, which are on the shore of Lake Victoria. They are beautiful, filled with locals, and several species of monkeys! On the way home, we had an 11:30 PM flight out to Brussels, so we got a day room here as well. I highly recommend this place to start and end your trip.

One night stay with friends in this quiet and friendly neighborhood. The staff are very friendly and interactive. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The guest house has a swimming pool in the garden but didn’t get the chance to use it. The garden rooms have garden facing patios for relaxing.

Dinners are absolutely amazing here. Whenever I have friends staying here, it is such a treat to be invited for a meal. It is like having fine dining in a cozy atmosphere, attended to by warm and welcoming staff. The rooms are also very homey and comfy. The ambiance is like a cocoon - restful, rejuvenating and when you are ready to emerge, you are reborn and refreshed.
