We all arrived unexpectedly by Boda Boda, all 6 of us! The staff, the owners and the chef were all very accommodating and we had a wonderful lunch. A great location in Entebbe, lovely views of the lake and very tranquil.

Just spent two weeks in this excellent guest house. With their warmth, service mindedness, sense of humour and flexibility, Leslie (from Corsica) and Kevin (from New Zealand) and everyone in their staff created a unique atmosphere where we really felt at home. The rooms are beautiful and the beds large and comfortable (with mosquito nets). They have a wonderful garden... More

One of the better places I have stayed at in Uganda. Their staff are welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The food is spectacular and their rooms are awesome. Comfortable beds, mosquito nets that fit the entire bed, hot showers and plenty of space to put my luggage. I really am impressed most with the service I received from EVERYONE here. Close... More

This place has the most lovely rooms and service. A small, cosy place, run by a young enthusiastic couple and a staff, which is outstanding friendly. The rooms have large and very good beds and mosquitonets, which actually keep out the mosquitos. The bath is beautifully designed with rockstones and we never lacked hot water. The rooms are very clean... More

We usually arrive around 10PM and the Karibu arranges a driver to greet us and take us to the hotel. The main building, where we are greeted and have breakfast the next morning, has a very African feel to it, as do the rooms. The rooms are in separate buildings with verandas and direct access to the grounds. They are comfortable... More

'Karibu' is the Swahili word for welcome and although Swahili is not the lingua franca of Uganda, the welcome of the Guest House makes this a very suitable eponym. It was friendly, welcoming, organized, clean, cheerful, flexible, well priced and well located. The Principals, Kevin and Lesley, are well experienced and manage in a very personal way reflecting their experience... More

We stayed at the Karibu at the beginning and end of our tour around Uganda. There is so much to like - we were met at the airport, served by friendly and efficient staff, stayed in a lovely garden room, ate excellent food. This is a lovely charming guest house, within walking distance to the main attractions of Entebbe and... More

I stayed at Karibu Guest House for about 3 nights and I found the place perfect for relaxing, for a pleasant stop on your way in/out of Uganda or as a hide-out to work (the latter was in fact my situation). the staff and management are all very welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is homey and the food is simply... This is a hidden gem in Entebbe. Tired of the big noisy hotel locations? Try Karibu! Friendly staff, lovely garden and great food from the restaurant. What I loved about the guesthouse - No TVs in the rooms! Total relaxation after long days of field work and an opportunity to catch up on reports. The guesthouse offer a shuttle/taxi service...
