Perfect little escape away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. Pros of the hotel - massive junior suites with exceedingly comfortable beds, great views of the ocean from the balcony, friendly staff, fantastic food (sushi, steak and Arabic), secluded beach and the bathrobes

We really enjoyed our time at the Waldorf Astoria RAK. The hotel itself was stunning and the rooms were spacious and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and soft. The view from the balcony was perfect. The staff were attentive and kind, especially Andrew at the front desk.

Hi do I book a round of golf and do they supply all the equipment
Hello! Am sure they provide golf as their golf course is right accross the street. As I don’t play golf, the conceirge at the hotel will be more than happy to assist.

Would you recommend half board or full. Board and which type of room.
We took Half Board as we do whenever we visit the Middle East. We'd then share a main at lunchtime around the pool or walk to the Mall or the Golf Club for lunch. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member we were upgraded to a sea facing junior suite which was fantastic. As long as I had a balcony I wouldn't mind facing the sea or the golf course

There are restaurants in the hotel and in the Hilton just 5 minutes walk away, all are excellent and around £15 - £20 a head with a drink depending which you use. There’s also a pub before the golf course (you can’t miss it - I think it’s called Belgium Bar - and their food is excellent and very reasonably priced. If you go just past the golf club you can get a free river taxi to Al Hamra village where there’s another great pub with great food and great prices and a lovely coffee shop too. Of course there’s also the Mall with some local and chain restaurants - the mall is 15 mins walk. The quality of the food at the Waldorf however is great with a huge choice - half board is a great option if you don’t mind always eating in the same place - the choice of food changes daily but not the surroundings of course. If you do decide in half board you can also choose to eat at one of the other on site restaurants for a discounted rate which will cover most of the meal price there. Lots of options! I think either HB or BB and eat out are both great choices. I wouldn’t recommend FB as you won’t want that much food!

"We chose sea facing this time which was lovely but next time would be quite happy with the other side of hotel facing golf course."
"Both land facing , and sea-view rooms are amazing. Both have breathtaking views!"
"A room overlooking the sea will not get sun in December. If you want sun in the morning go for a room overlooking the golf course."
"Obviously sea view rooms...."
"request top floors for better views."
