Decent, if a little dated, hotel at the centre of Samarkand. Near the major attraction - the Registan. Service is good, but the breakfast could be somewhat better. Generally not a bad place to meet and chat with fellow travellers too.

We love this City. The people were so very warm and welcoming and very curious about Americans visiting. We did lots of walking and were very safe with NO worries. We did have something very special happen we purchased a hat at a Bizzare, I wore it through the trip, every where we went, were were given thumbs up and...

This looks like a nice hotel from the exterior and the interior courtyard area. But is NOT a nice hotel. Here are the pros: good location--fairly clean room. Here are the cons: lousy wifi--poor AC--poorly maintained--worn dirty carpets--old tired rooms--no complimentary water--room telephone did not work--indifferent/borderline rude staff--average breakfast. I suggest that you go somewhere else.

The hotel is located close by the statue of Timor Lenk which here are known as Emir Timur, furter is it a 10 minutes walk from the marvelous Registan Square. The rooms of the hotel are quite big, the beds a little on the hard side which worked well with us. You found signs of wear and tear if you...

I stayed with a group and we all reported: dirty carpetting. It was Marriott style lobby- flashy- not wifi in rooms, only in that lobby. I prefer more authentic to the country hotels- this could have been big box shabby US

This is a large hotel...with 7-8 floors. Perhaps we went during low season but we saw the strangest things in a hotel of this size. 1. No lights. All the lights in the central lobby would be turned off in the night. Have put up the photos here. 2. Mostly even the lights on the floors would be turned off,...

The exterior of this older hotel is quite striking and all floors surround a central, open foyer. Room was clean and quite decent. Getting laundry done was quick and very inexpensive. Service was strange, when I called down to have the laundry picked up they told me to bring it down to the front desk. A second room key is...

Two nights here was three nights too long. Let's see.... No hot water for one night. Room was old and tired. Bed was harder than sleeping on the carpet. Food buffet style was barely marginal. WiFi was connected with snail-like speed to the outside world. Staff was unresponsive. In our view needs a makeover from management on down. There must...

The hotel is quite old, its location is nearby Samarkand university. The Registan Square is 10-15 mins walking. Nothing nearby the hotel. The room size is ok, but once you operate the AC you will start exercise the negative smoking which is horrible The hotel staff are friendly and supportive. The breakfast is having limited choices but enough to fuel...

The hotel is HORRIBLE. Rooms are dirty, beds unconfortable, the shower does not work. The restaurant is also HORRIBLE, there were anything to eat at the buffet. The only positive thing is the kindness of the staff
