Great Hotel / Resort in Hoi Ann. Room, pool, breakfast and location was great. Only 3 minutes by motorbike to the Old Quarter. Many restaurants close by and also quiet of a nighttime. Staff were all extremely helpful and what I like the most they always greeted you !!!!!!!

This is a hidden gem, very friendly, very clean, not too busy and feels authentic, you know that feeling like wow we are on holiday now and it’s not the same as home. You can walk to the old town easily, the area is very safe , you can book tours here to all the major attractions, do that when you get here it’s cheaper than a lot of online sights, the breakfast buffet is really good.

It is a nice hotel, well located (not too close , not too far from the Old City) but notoriously needs maintenance in some areas, specially gardens, breakfast space, fishing pond, lobby and exterior. Surely suffered a lot the impact of the pandemic and lack of resources. The room was clean, very good bed and excellent bathroom. The staff was very kind and servicial attending immediately an issue with the AC (key to cope with the heat and high humidity of the city). The breakfast was very good. The pool was a big asset: very clean and nice. There are very good restaurant options for dinner very close. We hope this hotel can move forward.

Very honest review here. The grounds are quite run down as such, however it is very obvious that they are suffering immensely from the effects of COVID and are running on a very tight budget/staffing resources. Firstly, the reception desk staff and doorman that we were greated by very nice on arrival. Although the property on the outside is in need of a little love, it was very clean and all staff we encountered in the grounds and the breakfast area were lovely. On walking in to our room, were incredibly surprised by how lovely the room was, how comfortable the beds were and how spacious the bathroom area was. Also, the TV was incredibly clear, and the internet was fast speed. We had a lovely balcony room that looked out over the pool area, and had lovely chairs and a table to sit at. Air conditioning worked really well in the room and the breakfast was very adequate for what we wanted. We could ask for eggs to be cooked fresh as we wanted them, there was a large selection of fruit and breads/pastries and anything was asked for that wasnt there was provided with a smile. It is in a lovely area of Hoi An as it is a good 15 min walk in to the main area of Hoi An, or they also offer a courtesy bus to get in there free of charge. We chose to do this, then caught a taxi back (very cheap) given the time of night it was and how tired we were. There are heaps of eateries, pubs, bars, massage places, mini marts etc all outside the door of the resort, and everything we needed was within close distance. The massage spa area was not operational, however again I feel that this is due to COVID, and as things pick up, I'm sure they will resume this, along with other services. I would 100% happily stay here again and support this resort, as it is clear to see that with more guests supporting them and helping them, they will be able to get back to being a luxury resort once again.

We stayed at the Phu Thinh Resort for 3 days as part of a tour booked by Legend Travel. We had several problems—we couldn’t operate our safe, our phone was broken at first— the front desk refused to fix it. They eventually did. There was nothing in our mini bar/ fridge. No one answered the phone for room service or maintenance. The spa was closed and the lantern making class advertised in the in room book wasn’t happening. I suspect this hotel is suffering from COVID and aren’t fully operational yet. I feel bad for them for this. Still—our room was not sealed and mosquitoes came in and I was bitten several times. There was also a large beetle that entered our room. The breakfast buffet was terrible. The only cheese they offered was American cheese slices. There was rat or mouse poop on a surface near the fruit in the restaurant. It did not seem clean. The pool is the best part of this hotel. It is very nice. The worst part was the hotel staff who held our taxi when we were leaving until a staff member ran back to our room to check for? I’m not sure—to make sure we didn’t steal the towels or something? It was very strange. We felt like we were treated like criminals. This hotel is also a long walk or a taxi ride from the main part of Hoi An. There are many better options in Hoi An and I would never want to stay here again.

Now this review and critique is aimed at the owners. This is our second stay here our first was in September 2019 and we loved it, so naturally we decided to stay here again on our return to Hoi An in march 2023. Firstly I’ll cover the positives and that is still the staff. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful as always. They made check in and out so easy and helped us with our laundry and got us free taxis into Hoi an as well as arranging bikes for us to hire. The rooms, We had adjoining suites same as our last visit. Our rooms were clean and very spacious. Good air conditioning and quiet and dark so sleep quality is good. Now the not so good experiences we had. Mainly this resort is very run down now. There is no hotel transportation anymore but they did hire taxis for us. There is no bar anymore for the pool or hotel guests. The bar is still there but looks like it’s been closed for years. The main honeymoon suite is closed and run down and looks disgraceful. The hotel has advertising for a wellness spa in the elevator however when my wife and daughter went to book they found the wellness spa is also closed. The grounds are run down and in area dangerous. There is loose and broken pavers everywhere and even on the main walkway into the resort. The breakfast bar is a shadow of what it used to be. A tiny variety of not that great options just isn’t good enough. There used to also be a musical water feature at breakfast that now looks like a tsunami has destroyed it and just left as a pile of rubbish to look at while you eat. The grounds were once pristine and now rundown and not maintained. The once beautiful pool area is now run down and not up to scratch. There is signs of neglect everywhere and even some fire escape stairwells are filled with clutter. This is purely on the owners clearly trying to save some money and run the resort into the ground. I will add photos of the main opportunities this resort had to repair to at least try and be presentable. Overall we don’t recommend anyone stay here who is looking for a relaxing resort because this is just a run down disappointment.

We spent 3 nights here and were very happy with our spacious room and the attentive staff and management. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was fine (although the shelf above the basin has a forward tilt and needs a sort out), everything was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was very good. It's a good place to stay with a selection of eating and drinking places just down the road. There is a shuttle service to the old town if needed but it is also a pleasant walk, or a taxi costs about US$2. Recommended.

Nice resort between old town & beach. A complimentary bus service to town is available but a t a taxi isn't expensive. Nice pool & gardens. Room modern & clean and tastefully decorated. Decent size fridge to keep drinks cool. Staff were helpful & friendly.

We stayed here as we were traveling through Vietnam. The resort is lovely and is only about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town. We stayed in a ground floor deluxe suite and it was quite large. The bathroom was huge. The room was clean and comfortable. Great spread for breakfast with both Asian and western options.

We stayed here on our honeymoon and the photos looked good. When we arrived, everything was a bit weathered on the property, probably from the monsoon season. The pond out back looked like it had gone through hell and the area that we had breakfast in was nothing special. The breakfast was basic, but the flies were all over the fruit and the bread was stale. Our room was very nice and large but there were dead bugs all over the room. On the floors, walls, and windows; just everywhere. The shelves were dusty and it also smelled musty. When we laid down at night, there were small blood stains on the comforter. Not mine, but in a couple spots. On the second night, when we returned from our adventure, we turned on the AC and about an hour later the unit started pouring water. They moved us to another room. Our stay was fine but it wasn’t the experience we hoped for on our honeymoon.
