Since we traveled with my mold mother, a break day was essential for her.

We are so delighted when we met the cheerful girl who guided us to our pool villa.

Clean, comfy, with a good view overlooking the golf club. A private pool for kids and my mom to chill in. Watching the stars at night and visiting the beach was also very nice.

Quiet yet you can call a grab car any time.

the villa is spic and shiny with all amenities including large tv and an excellent sound system. the garden is cute and the small plunge pool suffices. the service and breakfast is excellent. the gated community boasts of a good tennis court, a very nice spa(book in advance), and 2 large pools and also a restaurant and bar

The apartments and complex is well maintained.
They do try their best to do whatever they can. However, I did feel a little pressured to make sure I checked out exactly when asked, which was implied from day one.

There are a lot of actual residents on the complex which makes an interesting mix.

Location is a bit hit and miss, half way between Da Nang and Hoi An…so you’re taking a Grab everywhere

My suite was G2. It was around 350~400 per night.

The Pleasantries:
The Outdoors:
The public pool was a sight to behold, and the proximity to the beach was most convenient. One could spend a rather enjoyable afternoon by the pool, sipping a fine beverage and overlooking the ocean.

Privacy and Convenience:
The villa provided a good level of privacy, and its location offered convenient access to both the Da Nang city centre and the charming town of Hoi An.

Staff Deportment:
Though understaffed, the personnel conducted themselves in a professional manner, and their handling of complaints was quite civilized, I must say.

The Unpleasantries:
Absence of Amenities:
It was most disconcerting to find that the rooms were bereft of televisions and that the air conditioning system was inoperative. For the rate of 400 USD per night, one would reasonably expect these basic amenities to be in good order.

Inefficient Procedures:
The necessity of waiting for staff to check in and out was an irksome inconvenience that could have easily been avoided with proper staffing or organisation.

Disrepair:
The villa exhibited a rather rundown appearance, with appliances in various states of disrepair. The fan, the hair dryer – all seemed to have seen better days.

Design Inconsistencies:
The logic of the design was puzzling indeed. Providing but one cup, yet two sets of toothbrushes, left us quite perplexed. The safe was curiously placed atop the closet, and the water pressure was disappointingly weak.

Furniture:
I would be remiss not to mention the furniture, which appeared rather worn and past its prime.

In Conclusion:
Ocean Villa, despite its appealing location and outdoor amenities, fell short of the expectations one might associate with a venue at this price point. Whilst I extend my sincere appreciation to the staff for their professionalism, I cannot in good conscience endorse this accommodation without significant improvements.

Though our stay was not entirely without merit, the aforementioned shortcomings led us to seek a refund for one of our nights. It is my earnest hope that Ocean Villa might address these issues, for the potential for a truly splendid getaway does indeed exist.

This is absolutly not an even ONE stars resort. This place is like a market. You can get full day karaoke every day during the week with full loudest of moving loud speaker that every Vietnamese could bring in/and plus team building events and free singer loud live music at the bar. This place is included houses owned by different owners so everyone can rent a house for 30 people and have all kind of party with as loud as they want from morning till evening. The management is hopeless and they don't anything to control it.
It is such a same to called it 5 stars resort!
If you want to have a nice and peaceful place THIS IS NOT YOUR CHOICE.

We were 6 adults and 2 kids and stayed in their large 5 bed villa on the ocean. For starters the location is in the middle of da nang and ho yan with no other amenity near by. So we were making several 25 min car trip either way to get food. The food at the villa is not great, the pool cold, with construction going on near by. The beach is littered with styrofoam and rubbish. So we could not relax at all. The property itself is completely devoid of any character or charm. The villas are right next to each other with not much privacy. Security patrolling the beach and other guests can look straight into the villa. The checkout was the worse one we ever had- we had requested a late check out- which was only met half way although the place was empty- the staff snooped around to check the place for 30 minutes although we were still there like detectives looking at every little thing for any sign of damage. Also they failed to tell us that if you take any amenity bag which is usually provided free at any hotel ( the small cotton bag )- they charge you $5!!!. Would never ever ever recommend
this place- Ocean villas has been designed by the developer for people wanting a house in a gated community- it is not for people who want a hotel holiday property or service as such. Please spend your money elsewhere if you are planing a relaxed holiday.

Our 11 night stay at Ocean Villas was fabulous. We have two young kids (5 and 2) and it was their first trip O/S, so having the space, tranquility and amenities all at hand was invaluable. The resort is not as isolated as we expected, as Da Nang has developed a great deal and you are probably only 5-10 mins from the outskirts. Being half way to Hoi An is definite plus, close enough to "pop" down but not in the thick of it. Actually, the location was just a big plus full stop - some of our days were pretty full-on and things got a bit much for the kids at times (very different to Australia!) so being able to retreat to our own private oasis was perfect. Our villa was amazing, staff terrific, the complex itself immaculate and the beach side setting, private pool etc is the stuff of dreams!
Check Agoda for great rates before you book (i probably wouldn't pay full rate, a little inflated I think given the choices in the area - although it's almost worth it just for the privacy and peace of your own villa), stock up at Big C (Da Nang) or somewhere for supplies on your way, and keep a close eye on all the little bits and pieces around the villa - lest you find yourself with some unexpected costs at the end (we had to pay about $2.50 for a lost teaspoon! They are pretty thorough during the checkout process! Quite amusing!). Loved every minute, a beautiful spot.

We stayed in 2 bedroom villas with a small private pool. The villa is spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful, they have also prepared a birthday cake for me on my birthday night. What a nice treat!

The swimming pool is next to the restaurant where we had breakfast. It is just next to a beach. The pool and beach are beautiful.

The hotel is situated between Da Nang city and Hoi An. Not very near downtown of Da Nang, but we just need to take 10 minutes to city by taxi. If you are looking for quiet and relaxing villa in Da Nang, the Ocean Villas is a good option. And hotel is not too far to Hoi An, just need to take 20 minutes journey by car to Hoi An, quite convenient!

Overall speaking, the hotel is worth to stay with reasonable price for luxurious stay in Da Nang.

We had planned a 5 day rest in the Dunes Villas on the Danang Golf Resort, part of the Ocean Villa complex, as a break during a 3 week tour of Vietnam & Cambodia.
The villa was spacious, luxurious and well equipped with the added beauty of the Dunes Villa that they actually have a swimming pool and not just a plunge pool.
Breakfast is taken in the Golf club if you live in these villas and you have the excitement of being picked up in a golf buggy every day to get to the club - there's no need to walk during this leg of the holiday! The golf club was extremely quiet - we seemed to be the only family having breakfast every day. The selection was OK though could have had some fruit as an option as part of the deal.
We wanted to lie, read books and relax and that is what we did every day. The Dunes villas are across the road from the beach and again a golf buggy collects you and takes you there when requested. We didn't choose to do this as the pool was fantastic but the Ocean Villa beach is picture perfect beautiful.
The shuttle's to Hoi An as mentioned are not put in place really for people going in and out for dinner which is what we did. There is a shuttle into town at 16.30 and the same shuttle returning is the last one, so no option to get back to the villas. However, a taxi from the resort to Hoi An takes 10 mins, picks you up at the villa door, and costs about £7-8 each way so we chose to get a taxi in and home every night for dinner. All the taxi drivers in Hoi An, and there are plenty of them, know the resort so there is no problem getting home at any time.
Hoi An is a wonderful location for food. The choices are many and every single restaurant we went to was fantastic. We had eaten at the beachside restaurant on our first night on arrival at the Ocean Villa and while the food was OK there was no atmosphere at all. I would suggest the journey to Hoi An as the best eating option.

The staff are very friendly and if there are any little niggles with your villa they are responsive to address these straight away. English is not a problem.

This area is rapidly developing and the whole coast line is peppered with big, luxury hotel complexes and more villa resorts popping up all the time. The competition will become ferocious and service will be key.

The Ocean Villas are perfect for a lazy, luxurious break. We were here mid August and we saw next to nobody else here. For us this was perfect and we felt we enjoyed the 17 Dunes Villas resort to ourselves for the best part of 5 peaceful days

Da Nang, Vietnam
There are two restaurants at the resort - one serving international cuisine and one serving Vietnamese cuisine. The Sheraton Grand is 5 minutes walk away as is CocoBay which has a range of different restaurants. A new restaurant/beach club called "Blush" is only 5 minutes away by taxi.

Hi, do the villas have a washing machine? Thanks
Answer from tommyT

Yes, but I think it depends on each individual villa. My room had a washing machine, but I can't speak for other rooms. The bigger villas ( houses ) would most likely have one.

We stayed at villa L4 which is in the middle of the resort and only a couple of minutes walk to the main pool, beach and restaurant. I suspect A5 would be closer to the golf course which could be quieter and more private if the villa is facing the golf course. Da Nang and Hoi An is just recovering from the tropical typhoon Damrey that flooded Hoi An town and by December it should be back to normal?....I understand the temperature averages between 28-30'c in the day and 24-25'c in the night so swimming shouldn't be a problem. Swimming in the ocean could be a hit and miss if the wind is blowing, when we were there in October, it was too rough to swim (the red flags was out for the 7 days we were there). Being a tourist destination, Hoi An at night during the Christmas/New Year period will be quite festive (don't know enough to comment about public activities sorry) but suggest you check on the status of the clean up effort from the effects of the typhoon.
