Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a Lovely campsite and also had basic rooms. Super friendly host. They provide a laundry service , fabulous wifi and an honesty fridge for drinks. The toilets and showers were clean and the shower had good water pressure. A cute dog on-site made the stay more enjoyable.

I stayed at Burkes Paradise in July 2017 (a bit belated - sorry!) with two friends on a long trip around Southern Africa. The Burkes were very generous and helpful as we tried to book trains onward, struggled without enough cash and generally negotiate our way around Zim. The rooms were hostel-like, set in a pretty garden near the main house, with other rooms for hanging out in. Good base for Bulawayo.

There is camping facilities as well as a few twin, double and some multi bed rooms. Rooms are comfortable and the shared bathrooms are clean. Wifi available at a reasonable rate is is usually reliable, more than the town electricity supply. The property is located ten minutes from the centre of Bulawayo. It is owned and run by Adam and his wife. They are super friendly and hospitable. Could only have positive things to say about the service.

I’ve had a wonderful time at Burke’s Paradise. Accommodation was excellent. I loved my swims in the pool, hot showers and restful moments in the hammock. It was hard to leave Paradise and go back to the real world. I highly recommend this beautiful place!!

Set quife far off the road in the grounds of an old country house. Camping facilities pretty basic, with weak cold (later) showers but quite clean facilities. Pool really grubby with ancient dirty cushions. Cooking facities available with fridge and freezer. WiFi $3 per day and good powerful signal. No bar available although they advertise one. Overall pretty basic.

Swimming pool, clean, honor system for the wi-fi, great hosts. Good shade trees for the tents. The location is a bit small however and it seems the tents were on top of one another. The staff is very welcoming. Not very close to downtown so one has to take a taxi from there is they want to visit it. Also good to place to visit the Great Zimbabwe from - only 1.5 hours away.

When arriving we were greeted by a lovely little dog and the owner who was really friendly and welcoming. We were shown to our chalets which have the most fantastic view of a pond feature that crosses through the garden. The rooms were lovely and the beds were comfortable. I’d recommend to anyone visiting this town.

Very nice place - friendly owners and pets. A few minutes drive from Bulawayo. Rooms are basic, mine had no bathroom but was clean and bathroom was next door to my room so not a problem. Also had a very nice swimming pool. Room was very reasonably priced as was their laundry service. Overall a worthwhile stay.
