This must once have been a splendid venue.. The hotel has lovely antique furnishings with a colonial feel to it. However, now it needs a little attention, and could do with a bit of a touch up. The carpets need a serious cleaning and the rooms have a musty smell. But, the staff are friendly and helpful. They have wifi...

A lovely quaint hotel nestled in the mountains not far from Mutate. A lovely couples, family or business getaway! Stunning hotel! The staff are amazing and management very involved in making sure guests are happy and well taken care of. Now this is where you'll fully experience some wonderful good old fashioned hospitality, a must if you're in the area.

About 20 minutes from Mutare, set in probably the most beautiful garden of all the hotels and inns, a gracious place to visit. Endeavouring to retain some of the old world standards in a difficult economy, its well worth visiting. Coffee on the verandah, surrounded by lush growth and myriad birds, visitors can relax and forget about the high tech...

The bad: We had no internet reception in our room. The room had this damp smell and there was mold on the furniture .The tub was not clean. The toilet was flushing orange rusty water (This was attended to upon request). There were no cartoons for my kids. The good: Very friendly staff. gorgeous landscaping and gardens. We got an...

Many thanks for your constructive review. This year we plan to remove carpets from rooms replacing them with laminate floor tiles to help arrest the problem of mustiness during the rainy season as most of the rooms are below ground level. In the same vein, old galvanised piping servicing the rooms on the wing you stayed is being replaced with...

Very friendly staff. The chef knows how to execute the meals. We enjoyed every bit of the stay. We took some photos of each other. The gardens are delightful. The area is also a good view. Surrounded by original vegetation. The weather ever so cool. All patrons seemed comfortable and relaxed.

It's quite an old place, a kind of colonial British lodge feel, not far from Rhodes Hotel in Nyanga. THe room was ok, nothing special, but big. David, the now old owner, seems a very nice man and staff was very friendly. The pool is cold, which was a very good thing on my stay when it was 35 degrees...

The staff were friendly and helpful. The salads served at lunch were average and a bit pricey but the 3 course “power outage” dinner special was good value and tasty. There are some popular South African wines available. We opted to bring our own wine and pay a $5 corkage fee. My favorite part of our stay was sitting out...

This was my first time to stay at White Horse Inn, Vumba.. We stayed 4 nights over the Easter weekend. 4 of us... We were greeted with friendly helpful staff and from beginning to end we experienced nothing but excellent service... The rooms were very comfortable and clean fitting in perfectly with the atmosphere. Food was amazing and personal service...

Just an amazing place. This was my second visit and I want to return. The location is rural near the border--think you could spit into Mozambique. The location is great--just a few miles from Mutare, but wonderful scenic drive. Good English meal, drinks in the parlor, dinner in the dining room, reasonable prices. I had a roast beef dish, others...
