A family oriented hotel, cozy and kids friendly. The views are so amazing, overlooking the ever green mountains. The garden is beautifully manicured, with lots of flowers. Oh! And kudos to the friendly and professional staff, I loved their service. Their food is well prepared and delicious too. There is need to revamp the bathrooms.

Our second visit to the White Horse Inn, this time for lunch, the first a year ago to to stay a few days. Our stay was good and we love the gardens and ambience of the inn but felt that our room despite being clean and comfortable was a little dated. So this time we opted to stay at Leopard Rock; a bad choice. I left a review on their Tripadvisor listing giving the downside to that hotel, the worst of which is the terrible quality of food. Hence our return to White Horse Inn for a very good dining experience. In future we'll always choose to stay at the White Horse Inn. The best place to stay and eat in Bvumba.

Amazing hospitality with a hands on owner. We spent a night in the cottage suite with friends relaxing and recovering after running SkyRun Zim. The Zambezis were flowing and we were treated to an amazing T-bone steak dinner and a scrumptious breakfast. It was great to relax in the beautiful gardens and by the crystal clear pool. They even cleaned our dusty car for us without being asked. Top class service all round! We will be back!

I enjoyed my stay in the serene environments of Vumba at the White Horse Inn. The staff, ably led by Mr Mubvumbi were very polite and courteous. The room was spanking clean and the food is well prepared. I enjoyed the fish. Though I do not drink, noticed that they have a wide variety of wines for each meal. The garden is well kept, and enjoyed my evening strolls. The wifi is fast and reliable.

The White Horse has always been a beautiful place to stay but had got a bit tired in recent years, however, there has clearly been some new energy and investment put in. Our rooms had been recently refurbished - new paint, tiles, with comfortable beds and linen. Everything was immaculate. Staff were courteous and helpful and food in the dining room was execllent. So far the refurbishment has been sympathetic and the White Horse retains the best of its old school charm. The gardens are stunning and we had beautiful walks along the stream and surrounding hills.

Waking up to the sound of a waterfall, birds chirping, a beautiful garden, good breakfast, good hospitality was just awesome. White Horse made us change our perspective of the kind of accommodation we usually like because we travel in numbers and we do not fancy hotels or inns but rather a whole lodge to ourselves kind of set up. The manager himself even came to check if we were comfortable and had everything we needed and a nice green salad on the house and my son still talks about this best salad ever. Thank you Mr Frank and team

We stayed in the cottage, which is very comfortable, although the decor is dated, it adds to the charm. The service is good with very friendly and helpful staff. A delicious full English breakfast, sent us off on the next leg of our journey to Chipinge.

I stayed at the White Horse Inn for 5 nights while running a conservation workshop at Vumba Botanical Gardens. The staff were absolutely fantastic and could not have been more helpful. They made my visit as smooth as possible. The food was also excellent. The setting of the hotel is magical and I would not even consider staying anywhere else!

This is rather difficult to review. Because you could focus on the negatives, rooms that are a bit tired, beds that sag and bathrooms that need a refit but that would leave out the good and the superlative that is also present in the White Horse Inn. Staff is very friendly and rather efficient. The common rooms of the Inn are comfortable, friendly and inviting in a country house sort of style. The food is pretty good. The location is fantastic in a romantic, sylvan way with a lovely and clearly much loved garden in which the Inn nestles with it's rambling wings of guest rooms. One caveat about the hillside setting: there are stairs to be negotiated from rooms and garden terraces to the main level of the Inn.

The gardens are beautiful, the restaurant is good. The rooms are ok but need some updating, especially the shower. There is no heat or radiator if you go in the winter (most of our other hotels provided a radiator in the room). The setting of the hotel is very beautiful.
