Stayed for 1 night at the Kyoya Ryokan. The hostel is well situated with easy access to the rest if Nagoya. The Ryokan is held in traditional Japanese style with some very nice bathing facilities in the garden.

Kyoya Ryokan is the superior ryokan. Stayed at another Ryokan in Kyoto and it was not as good by far in terms of service, room, etc. Bedding was comfortable (but rather hot, as the AC couldn't be turned on), and the room was very spacious. Had a nice view of the garden too. The main concierge member was very welcoming...

My friend and I had booked a dormitory room. We expected some bunk beds but we got a tatami room with a big secure lockers, internet access and a shared kitchen and bathroom. We were also surprised that we got free bike rental, rental yukata and towels to use in the shared baths. The Ryokan is easily accessible by bus...

The staff was very sweet and the rooms were nice as well. The baths were great and the location was pretty good too. My group and I enjoyed our stay. The garden is absolutely a spot to take a photo in and they had a camera in place already to take a photo which I thought was quite charming.

This is one of the smaller ryokans (less than 10 rooms) that we have stayed at. The warmth, care and attention to the guests shines through. Check out the hotel's website - crowded with info - and you can see how Hiroshi Sato (and team) want to make guests' stay a memorable one. So, here it goes: Likes: - The...

Small dorm with futon and sensor controlled light at upper floor. Reasonable. Moreover the Ryokan offers warm and friendly wellcome, fancy extras like foto point in the nice garden and bikes for free. What impressed me most was the food. Dressed in the light weighted Yukata one can enjoy local kaiseki style or watch the host performing a tea ceremony...

Overall I was a little disappointed with this Ryokan. They advertise an onsite computer for guest use however it is locked in the "sleeping area" of the female only dormitory. As a male traveller I felt really awkward entering the women's sleeping area to access the computer (especially since I typically use a computer at night to plan my next...

My room was the Momo room. It was on the corner, so there was a small garden view. It was also easily accessible to the public bath. The room also included a personal bath and washroom. I have the tatami double futon bed. Everything was comfortable and clean. The room was cleaned and we were given new towels and yukata....
