Rooms are ok but Air Condition is centralized and set to "warm" only when I was there. And the window can be opened but only with a special tool from hotel. Front office staff are not really ok to communicate in English especially at evening.

This hotel is in a good location, but other than that, we did not enjoy our stay here. As you enter the room, you get a strong smell that smelled like a dead mouse. Luckily, once in the room the smell went away. We had dropped something accidentally behind a piece of furniture and when we pulled the furniture away... More

The first room, that we got smelled so bad, like a cesspit,so I went down to the reception to do something about it. At the end we got an other room, where the carpet had several stains on it, but at least the room didn't smelled.

Location is brilliant, in the centre of Kanazawas main attractions. It is difficult to complain about facilities, but it was not as good as the other hotels where we stayed in Japan. The room was good. Probably our main disappointment was service, the only place where no one helped us with luggage, and reception were little help as to where... More

Large comfortable room with a reasonable view. Friendly helpful staff who were able to point us in the right direction for dinner. Close to all the sights. Free WiFi and a wide range for breakfast. The twin room was slightly larger than our neighbours' double but both had all the amenities expected in Japanese hotels.

We stayed as part of a group and enjoyed the location near restaurants. The rooms were very nice and big as we had a double. Breakfast was good and varied but we were not able to get in the 12th floor breakfast on the day offered as it was too crowded. Only complaint was they would not let me take... More

We were on a Group Tour and it so happened that it was the weekend of City Holiday, Festival, and Parades in Kanazawa. This added greatly to our stay! We were able to have Breakfast at the Main New Grand Hotel (top floor), and they had a person making individual egg omelets. How Nice! The beds were Not comfortable although... More

The Kanazawa New Grand Hotel Annex was a pleasant surprise. Unlike modern Japanese chain hotels, the New Grand Annex has the charm, elegance and space of another time - 1994. I found my single room to be large, for Japan, compared to the modern tiny boxes with pixie size bathrooms. It was immaculately clean. The bathroom even had a nearly... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is in a great location near shopping, the Oyama Jinja Shrine, Omiecho market...and farther along, Kanazawa Castle, Kenrouken Garden, and the art museum. The staff was friendly, the rooms are small, a bit dated, but still comfortable. I think that, probably anywhere else in the world, I would have rated this... More
