Staying here was a wonderful experience, on check in we were offered a choice for our breakfast either Japanese in the restaurant on the 6th floor or American on the 2nd. We opted for the Japanese breakfast. When we went to our room we were very pleasantly surprised at how large it was and extremely well appointed. After a good... More

I have stayed at many hotels in Japan. Nikko Hotel Kanazawa is absolutely one of the best. I was upgraded to a better room without any extra charge. I must say the breakfast buffet is the best I have ever experienced because they had Kaga specials including sweet shrimps, salmon raw and crab/fish ball soup. I will highly recommend this... More

Nikko as always is clean and central but they gave us the smallest room in the world. It was clean and had the amenities but for a couple booked for three nights it was way too small. My fault I should have asked to change as soon as we saw it. Having come from the Imperial in Tokyo it was... More

The lobby of this hotel was very stylish and the reception staff and concierge were friendly and helped us plan our one day in Kanazawa so we could the most of our stay. Our twin room was a good size by Japanese standards. Beds comfortable, good linens and pillows - quiet so good sleep quality. Compact bathroom - with separate... More

The room is so clean, not dusty at all (which seems to be a common theme amongst some hotels - cleaners don't seem to do dusting). Toilet and bathroom is very clean. Our room was the Comfort - queen bed. They gave us a corner room so it was fairly large (good layout). Breakfast at Benkay (Japanese) restaurant was top... More

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely well located hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms were modern & adequate in size. We had breakfast included which had a good variety of food but the room was very busy with tour groups. We were going to have the buffet dinner there one night but after looking at how crowded it... A modern and large hotel just across the road from the Railway Station. Staff welcoming. Our room on the luxe-floor had all expected amenities was well maintained and clean, but was an odd shape and small. It does cater for coach parties and this is particularly evident at the breakfast buffet, which was only adequate. We did have an excellent... More

Walking distance from the train station, we arrived a little after noon and were told we couldn't check in just yet. Somebody stopped us and really wasn't making us feel too welcome, even if we were a but early. After a long journey this was a slight surprise. Of course they let us keep our bags in the back until... More

This hotel is in an excellent location right across the road from the station and joined by an underpass. The bedroom and bathroom were good and the beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was efficient. The breakfast buffet was adequate but no more than that. All in all - a perfectly acceptable hotel.
