On the advice of a friend I spent a night here between en route to Osaka from Tokyo, and I am so glad that I did! The staff were among the friendliest I've ever encountered, the outdoor onsen was beautiful, and the view from my window*, looking out over Ito and the ocean, was stunning. I would definitely stay here...

Stayed there for a night in mid Nov. Been to a few ryokans but this is by far the most traditional one. The rooms are old but well maintained. Typical tatami mat room. Run by a small family. Very helpful team and we have a small infant travelling with us. We loved it.

We spent 3 nights at Yokikan last week, towards the end of our 5 week visit to Japan. We wanted to get away from Tokyo for a few days and visit the Izu Peninsula. Over the years we have stayed at many traditional rural ryokans and Yokikan is certainly one of the best we've experienced. We received a very warm...

This is my first time in a traditional, old style, Japanese Onsen although my wife has been an aficionado for years before she met me. Although the hotel shows it's age, the hosts were very gracious, the facilities were very clean, and the outdoor onsen was very nice with an exceptional view. I would recommend including the breakfast set but...

It was amazing experience staying at Yokikan. Owner Mr. Akihisa Inaba, his wife and his staff went the extra mile to make sure foreigners like me understand the traditional Ryokan experience. It make my trip very memorable and was a great cultural experience.

Yokikan was such an amazing experience. The staff was so wonderful and the owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful! My room was fantastic with a great view of the city and water. The indoor onsen felt super nice and the outdoor onsen especially amazing. Food was so beautiful and fresh for both breakfast and dinner. About a 10 min walk...

We stayed in this wonderful place for just 1 night and we love it! The place itself is great: rooms are clean and spacious, and we were welcomed with Tea and sweets. The owner and his wife speak very good english (very rare in Japan!) and they were caring and helpful suggesting places to see and where to eat! Both...
