Hotel rooms are slightly dated but comfortable and well furnished. Stunning views over the lake. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. The view from the bar on the top floor was slightly disappointing as the bar serving area blocked the view. Good service.

Want to go back! Very friendly to Americans but English is limited. Excellent hot spring. Great location. You can walk around Lake Shinji and to Matsue Castle. This is my favorite hotel in Japan. Breakfast is good too!

The hotel is situated right by lake 'Shinji-ko'. The view is spectacular and there is a nice promenade right across the street to wander on or jog. Breakfast was good (as was a Western style dinner we had as a group). The best thing about the hotel was a very good onsen, with its outdoor part facing the lake. It...

Although the hotel is located right next to the lake and looks nice, the whole place feels a little old. We stayed just for one night, but since it was the high season, it was pretty pricey for what we got. The place is an onsen hotel, so it has a public onsen bath area, but for the hotel size,...

We stayed in the new part of this hotel. Our room was spacious and offered great views of Lake Shinji. Also had a decent size bath room with the usual amenities (tooth brushes, razor ), a flat screen TV and free WiFi. Breakfast buffet (both Japanese and Western style was included and offered a lot of choices. A very nice...

Stayed 2 nights. Everything works like a clock. Amazing food for a hotel, especially breakfast. Nice baths. Close to everything. Nice views over the lake. Highly recommend. 15 min walnut to the great castle of Matsue. 5 min from a very good sushi place, convenience store.

We have spent 2 nights in this hotel. We had a room with a very nice view on the lake. The room was large and very clean. Corridors would deserve to be cleaned and renovated. This is a large, modern hotel which 'claims' to be at 4 stars level and is not, specifically on service side. Bar which charges 800...

I stayed in the East Wing of the hotel where I suppose they offer spacier and more modern rooms. My room was really big, spotlessly clean and supplied with the usual array of amenities. The only drawback was probably the windows that couldn´ t be opened from inside the room and centrally regulated heating. Air-conditioning can be set individually but...

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel with Western facilities. Very helpful staff and good service in the dining room. an unforgettable experience was watching the early morning fishermen in the lake - a free cultural show

This is the second time I stay in this resort. I find it quite comfortable and sufficient for the purposes of my travel. Lovely rooms with a magnificent view to the lake, excellent service by the personnel. Gentle figures everywhere!
