Sure it's a tower block, but it is still a nice hotel. Spacious reception all well organized. Lifts a bit slow. Quite unusual room, but everything present. Bathroom above average for Japan. Breakfast also good. Excellent location in the heart of the city centre.

Very very handy for the main tourist sights. As with many Japanese hotels, rooms are beige and small. Very little storage space if there for more than one night. Really good baths though. Comfortable, and great pyjamas!

You can't get any closer to the Hakodate Bay than staying at La Vista. This high-rise hotel is modern, clean, and within walking distance of most tourist sites and the JR Train Station. A room on the mountain side of the building gives you great views both day and night -- La Vista means "The View," and that's what you...

I visited in June 2016, which is summer season in Hokkaido. Weather is fantastic between 10-20 degree. Hotel lobby although not huge but is tastefully renovated. Would probably need to queue during checkin as this hotel is highly popular. Rate wise can be at a high side but do look out for promotion price available in various hotel search website....

The La Vista Hakodate Bay is a great place to stay for tourist, who wish to explore the harvor area of old Hakodate and can be reached from the Train Station in a relaxed 20 minute walk. Service and facilitiys are top notch, especial the spa with the onsen area. Only down point could be the breakfast arrangement which can...

Stayed there 1 night and I was happy it was only 1 night. We had a deluxe triple room with 2 large twins (close to double size), tub and shower in one enclosure, tatami sitting area, a tiny wet bar area, and a view of the red brick warehouses. The room size is about 37 sqm, being one of the...

Stayed 1 night. Hotel is easily accessible by airport shuttle. Walkable to JR Hakodate station in 15 minutes and hotel does provide free taxi there. The room we booked was deluxe twin room which was sort of semi ryokan - separate WC and bath areas located at a slightly lower floor area as drinks area and cupboard area while the...

We stayed here for one night in June. The staff was ok, not great. Room is small and the bathroom feels like those on a cruise ship. Good thing we only have one luggage. You will have a hard time if you have a few suitcases. Our room faces Mt. Hakodate so we can sit in the room and enjoy...

Used to be a nice place to stay till several years ago. Great location with cozy rooms and a nice breakfast buffet. But since the hotel started to attract too many guests, which outnumbered the capacity of the facility, this place lost it's charm. This year, they accidentally cancelled our reservation, and made us wait at the front desk for nearly an...

Upon entering the room, we westerners were impressed by the Toto toilet with multiple options and a bathtub outfitted with a Japanese shower, complete with stool and basin. Both were concealed behind sliding doors while a third panel revealed the room: an entry space with a two step walk up to the tatami mat living space. A futon bed of...
