We were here in Autumn 2016. Travelled one round-trip of Hakone and finally reached this hotel at around 1900hr, spent and exhausted. But to our surprise, we were very well served and check-in was very fast. one thing is that the staff knows understandable english, which ease our communication. The room is big and cozy. We seen our bed(futon) made...

The hotel is in a very nice location, quiet and full of charm. We took the "japanese style" rooms and choose the degustation menu and breakfast. We also tried the public baths, with very hot spring water. Hotel staff was absolutely charming and helpful. The hotel has a very convenient free shuttle to the railway station which runs every 15...

My first onsen experience at Hotel Hatsuhana was wonderful! Our room rate allowed full use of the baths and included a kaiseki dinner with breakfast the following morning. The hotel is an icon of tranquility and fantastic service. The staff was very polite and respectful. Check-in was fast and discrete. We were shown to a large traditional room, very clean...

our first time in a Ryokan, the rooms were very nice and the Yukatas that were supplied for wearing in the hotel were of good quality. Our dinner was served in a private room and the standard was good, During dinner our beds / futons were made but I have to say sleeping on the floor is not that comfortable

I think when you are visiting Japan it is a must to take a day off from touring shrines and other attractions. Hakone provides such and excellent opportunity. This hotel is very traditional place where you get an opportunity to dive into true Japanese tradition. Japanese bath is just amazing. Food is great and staff is very friendly.

We went really late unexpectedly because of the traffic, later than 8pm, so we missed the wonderful dinner. But once we arrived at 10pm, hotel served each of us wonderful rice cake set unexpectedly and we really appreciated their considerations and generosity. The in room hot spring facility at the balcony was excellent, we really enjoyed hot spring while we...

we stayed one night at Hatsuhana Hotel in Hakone and wish we had booked one more night as there's more to see than we originally expected. the food is included in the package and is very traditional Japanese. The hot springs were amazing and relaxing. a great R&R for people visiting Japan for a short escape from big cities.
