This is a very smart and comfortable hotel that is well located for enjoying the tourist delights of the Hakone region. We tried the Western-style room with a private Onsen. What a luxury to have a 42°C Onsen on your balcony and available 24 hours a day! Our room was unusually large and comfortable. Smart fittings and everything worked. A...

We stayed here for one night in November on our visit to Hakone. Check in for the hotel is at 3pm and we arrived at 2:35pm and couldn't check in. I'm used to quite often checking in early at hotels, so being so close to the "official" check in time and being sent away was a little irritating but I...

We had a lovely stay at the Laforet Hakone. We traveled with our kids - ages 2 and 5. The hotel was very kind and helpful. It was a bit expensive - but most onsen hotels in Hakone are. And we liked that breakfast was included in the price. The decor of the public spaces and the rooms is beautiful...

Traveled to Hakone in November 2016 and stayed at his wonderful property for 2 nights. It can be a challenge to find this property as roads in Hakone can be hard to find. We had a rental car from Odawara so the GPS told us how to get there via the Telephone number. However, to put things into perspective, it...

Hotel is located in Gora which can easily be located by GPS. Hotel staff are extremely nice and the rooms are large and clean. We stayed in a room with private onsen and we thoroughly enjoyed it - perfect to take a nap and enjoy onsen then out exploring Gora. Food from the restaurant was good - the fusion dinner...

Very new hotel only had 40 rooms. Onsen clean and hot, love it. We choose to have breakfast in the hotel, buffet have few selection of Western and Japanese food. No complaint but wish they have more patsies plus fruits. Great stay.

We stayed at the Laforet Club from June 20 - 24, 2016 in a deluxe room with tatami area and open-air bath. Essentially this is a suite set up with one big open area that had two "twin" beds and three futon mattresses that you pull out of the closet yourself and put on the floor. Bed sizes in Japan...

The room we were initially assigned had mold in the shower. After we complained, we were assigned a larger and cleaner room. The room probably was not used for a while as it had a huge centipede on the wall with legs that fanned out 3-4 inches and bugs flying in the shower. After the staff cleared out the unwanted...

Had a great time with in-room onsen, clean and hot. Rooms and toilets clean, half-board was totally worth it: 4-5 courses japanese-western fusion meal! Very comfortable to wear yukata and walk with socks throughout entire hotel. Relatively accessible, can take the "Hakone Cablecar" to Naka-Gora and walk about 3-5mins to reach.

We had the mountain view from our open bath in the balcony. What more can we ask for? The dinner and breakfast were fantastic too. Maintenance and cleaning inside the room can be better though. The public onsen at the hotel wasn't the best but it didn't both us when we could choose to stay in the open bath in...
