1 hour bus ride from Odawara station. Hotel bus pick up opposite 7-11 – 5 mins to hotel. Hotel definitely caters for the elderly Japanese market but we were made welcome, staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting on the Ashi Lake and we were lucky to see Mt Fuji in all its glory on the morning we left. The...

This is a lovely, but expensive, hotel that looks out over Lake Ashinoko. The hotel has two public baths (one for women and one for men) fed by hot springs. There are two restaurants, one Japanese and the other French. The Japanese restaurant is excellent with a fixed price menu around US$ 65 per person before service and taxes. The...

Stayed 2 nights. Rooms are clean and comfortable and have great views facing the garden and Lake Ashi. Our rate included breakfast (Western or Japanese), but I was disappointed to find that they were only able to prepare a vegetarian Western breakfast. For the price and rating I expect their chefs to be able to prepare a Japanese vegetarian option...

All rooms are facing to the lake and Mt. Fuji. The view in the morning was nice. The garden is good for a 30-min walk around. The lounge with a fireplace was calm and relaxing, and you can enjoy some drinks before dinner there. You may want to ask restaurant staff to call you at the lounge when dinner seat...

Stayed in Hakone in amazing rooms with spectacular lake view. You also get great view if Mt Fuji from the gardens (and also decent from our room). Well worth spending a night or two instead of day trip from Tokyo. Free shuttle to the lake (with the bus stop) makes it easy to get to and from the hotel. Cosy...

I stayed here for one night as for my trip in Tokyo. This is how I arrived to the hotel Haneda airport -> Shinagawa Station (Keikyu line) -> Shinkansen to Odawara -> Taxi to the hotel (8000 yen) There is a bus in Odawara to motohakone ko where free shuttle is available across from the seven eleven but since we...

We stayed 2 nights here and it was a very good clean hotel, the Onsen was very good and we used it a few times a day. The Restaurants are very expensive and breakfast is reasonable. We could partially see Mt.Fuji from our room which was great, the cherry blossoms were all starting to bloom, it is a long walk...

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. It is in a perfect location with a wonderful view and very quiet gardens. The shuttle runs regularly from the hotel to downtown Hakone. The hotel has a western European style and feel to it. If you have tattoos you can't use the onsen, and there are strict rules posted around the...

We came in good time to enjoy the grounds and the garden of the hotel, take a walk to Hakone-machi fey station by the lake, visit the shrine en-route, a coffee break at Bakery & Table, return to the Hotel onsen as well as soak in the tub provided on our balcony. Just wish we had stayed a day longer...

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the hotel. Our baby was traveling with us so we knew we might not get to see all the tourist sites and needed someone peaceful and scenic to be our base. It really does depend on what you are looking for and wanting to do when selecting accommodation at Hakone. Let me...
