This is the place to stay if you want an AUTHENTIC Japanese experience. You must be ready for it though- this is as authentic as you can get. Food is also very good. Old school lodging for those who wish to experience the Japanese way of living.
This is just a delightful ryokan. The hosts were gracious. The room was clean and comfortable. (We did have probably the best room, at the end of the walkway with our own bath and toilet.) The food was just incredible -- elegant, tasteful, and very Japanese.
